Description

【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a liquid storage container, and more particularly to a liquid storage container suitably used in the field of ink jet recording and the like.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In general, ink tanks used in the ink jet recording field include a type in which the print head is replaced integrally with the print head when ink is consumed, and a type in which only the ink tank is replaced when the ink is consumed separately from the print head. Although the ink tank has an ink supply port for supplying ink to the head, it is necessary to seal the ink supply port to prevent evaporation and ink leakage from the ink supply port during distribution of a separate ink tank.
[0003]
It is necessary to open the ink supply port immediately before use, but a sealing member is conventionally formed of a resin molded product to which a film or an elastic body is fixed.
[0004]
The film adopts an opening method in which the film is welded or adhered around the ink supply port and the film is peeled off immediately before use. In this case, immediately after the film is peeled off at the time of opening, the attached ink may scatter around the film due to the inertia of the operation force and the elasticity of the film itself. In addition, since the film is easily deformed, the film may be stuck to the operated hand and soil the hand of the ink user.
[0005]
In the past, measures were taken such as devising the opening procedure and adding a member that absorbs ink. However, since the ink supply port area becomes larger due to the improvement in printing speed, it becomes difficult to take the same measures as before. Was.
[0006]
In the sealing member of the molded product, the sealing member is fixed to the ink tank container by welding, bonding, or fitting by a convex portion, and the elastic body is pressed against the ink supply portion to seal the ink. At the time of opening, the opening is performed by peeling off the bonded portion or removing the fitting portion. The cost of the sealing member is high, it is difficult to balance drop resistance and operating force, and the size of the ink tank increases due to increased ink consumption. In some cases, the ink attached to the elastic body may scatter due to the inertia of the operating force. There is.
[0007]
As described above, by increasing the printing speed, the area of the ink supply port to secure the ink supply performance is increased, the drop strength is secured in accordance with the increase in the size of the ink tank due to the increase in the ink consumption, and the cost is further reduced. For example, it has become difficult to satisfy the requirements by extension of the conventional method.
[0008]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
Then, as a result of the present inventor's intensive study on the reduction of ink scattering, it was found that the following causes ink scattering.
[0009]
That is, as shown in FIG. 4, in the case of the ink tank 41 using the sealing member 45 formed by molding the resin 46 and the elastic body 47, since the removing direction is perpendicular to the ink supply port surface 43, When the supply port and the surface of the elastic body 47 parallel to the supply port are separated in the vertical direction, the ink 48 therebetween is eventually separated and attached to the ink tank side or the sealing member side.
[0010]
The ink left on the surface of the elastic body may be scattered due to abrupt movement at the time of separation of the joint surface between the ink tank and the sealing member when the seal is opened. However, there is an advantage that the ink adhered in the sealing member can be made into a shape that cannot be directly touched by the hand depending on the shape of the sealing member.
[0011]
In order to prevent this, we examined the adjustment of the shape and surface condition of the elastic body surface and the bonding force, but it was difficult to respond to the increase in the ink supply port area due to the increase in the supply amount in the future. It was also difficult to suppress the joining force in consideration of the drop resistance due to the increase in the capacity. The size of the sealing member also tends to be large, and there is a problem with its cost.
[0012]
Further, as shown in FIG. 5, in the case of the ink tank 51 using the sealing member constituted by the film 55, since the removing direction is parallel to the ink supply port surface, the ink 58 attached to the film is supplied to the supply port. It was found that the ink adhered only to the tangent line of the fold at which the film began to peel off, so that the amount of ink adhesion could be suppressed.
[0013]
However, when all of the joining surfaces of the ink tank and the film are peeled off, a sudden movement is caused, and the elasticity of the film itself causes the attached ink to scatter.
[0014]
In order to prevent this, we examined the bonding strength between the ink tank and the film and the elasticity of the film. However, in the case of an ink tank that is distributed with the ink tank sealed, a bonding strength that is not inferior to the internal pressure is required. It was difficult to reduce the thickness of the film to prevent it. The attached ink may curl the film after opening, and may directly touch the hand. Stopping the peeling of the film in the middle prevents the ink attached to the film from scattering, so it is possible to prompt the user to open the film with the peeling limit, but it is impossible for all users to follow the opening procedure. I think that the.
[0015]
The above-mentioned problem has not been a problem in the conventional ink tank having a relatively small supply port area, in which the amount of adhered ink is very small and the ink is hardly scattered due to the surface tension of the ink.
[0016]
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to provide a liquid storage container that solves the above-described problems and that does not cause ink splatter while employing a low-cost film-shaped sealing member from the viewpoint of operability when opening the ink tank. .
[0017]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, according to the first invention of the present application, when a sealing member closing a liquid supply unit is opened at the time of physical distribution, a portion of the sealing member directly touching the liquid comes off from the liquid storage container. In order to prevent the liquid adhering to the reaction from scattering, the opening operation part and the liquid sealing part are separated.
[0018]
The sealing member is configured to be separable between the operation part and the sealing part. When the peeling of the sealing part progresses and the ink supply port is exposed, the sealing part is left on the ink tank side, It has a structure that only separates.
[0019]
The sealing member is, for example, a film-shaped heat-sealing sheet, whereby the cost can be kept low, and the sealing member can be sealed by a film, in which the peeling part at the time of opening moves parallel to the ink supply surface. It is also possible to suppress the amount of ink attached to the ink. In addition, since peeling does not occur on the surface at once but occurs linearly, there is an advantage that the opening force is suppressed.
[0020]
Since the sealing portion remains on the ink tank side at the time of opening, the user discards only the operation portion to which ink is not attached, so that the possibility that the surroundings are stained by ink splattering can be suppressed. In addition, since the operation unit is separated from the ink tank, there is an advantage that the user can easily confirm that the opening has been completed.
[0021]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
(First embodiment)
FIG. 1 is a drawing that best illustrates the features of the present invention, in which 11 is an outer wall of an ink tank, 13 is an ink supply port, 15 is a sealing portion of a sealing film, 16 is an operating portion of a sealing film, 17 Denotes a bonding portion between the film and the ink tank, and 18 denotes a peeling guide, and a cut 19 is formed at a boundary between the sealing portion of the film and the operation portion. FIG. 2 is a sectional view of the vicinity of the ink supply port of the embodiment.
[0022]
The peeling guide has a function of guiding the sealing film and regulating the peeling direction. Protrusions are provided at four locations on the sealing portion of the film so that they fit with the peeling guide and remain on the ink tank side after opening. The operating portion of the film is given a color such as orange or red, so that the user can easily recognize that the film is to be discarded after separation.
[0023]
(Second embodiment)
FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of the vicinity of the ink supply port, which best illustrates the features of the present invention. In FIG. 3, reference numeral 31 denotes an outer wall of the ink tank, 33 denotes an ink supply port, 15 denotes a sealing film, 16 denotes an operation film, Is a peeling guide, and 19 is a bonding portion of the film, and the sealing film and the operation film are bonded to such an extent that they can be peeled.
[0024]
The peeling guide functions to guide the films 15 and 16 and regulate the peeling direction. The sealing film is connected and bonded in a cylindrical shape. At the time of opening, a force in the direction of displacement is applied to the bonding portion between the sealing film and the operation film, so that the bonding portion of the ink supply port can be peeled off by the operation force without peeling off the bonding portion. After all of the adhesive parts are peeled off, tension is applied by a peeling guide in a direction in which the adhesive part between the sealing film and the operation film is easily peeled off, and the two films are separated.
[0025]
By separating the sealing film and the operation film, films having properties suitable for each purpose can be properly used.
[0026]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the invention of the present application, even in an ink tank having a large ink supply port area, a relatively low-cost film is used to separate the ink supply port sealing portion and the operation portion from each other. With this structure, it is possible to supply an ink tank that does not scatter ink at the time of opening.
