Abstract
Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an electric range switching device for an automatic transmission configured to control a motor based on the angle of a range switching shaft, and more particularly, to a fail-safe technique in the event of a failure of a sensor that detects the angle of the range switching shaft. .
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, the rotational driving force of a motor is transmitted to a range switching shaft via a reduction gear mechanism, and the range switching valve is driven by the rotational movement of the range switching shaft, and is continuously detected by an angle sensor (potentiometer). There is known an electric range switching device for an automatic transmission configured to drive and control the motor based on the angle of the range switching shaft (see Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 7-305770).
[0003]
In the motor control, for example, after starting the motor drive in response to a shift request, when the self-propelled start by the detent mechanism is determined based on the angle change detected by the angle sensor, or detected by the angle sensor The motor drive is stopped when the angle to be performed becomes a position a predetermined angle before the target angle corresponding to the required range.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
As described above, since the angle sensor is used for motor control, if the angle sensor fails, range switching cannot be performed.
Here, the dual angle sensors are provided, and when a failure occurs in the previously used angle sensor, the motor is switched to another normal angle sensor to control the motor in the same manner as in the normal state, thereby switching the range. Function can be maintained.
[0005]
However, furthermore, if multiple failures in which the normal-side angle sensor fails also occur during the shift operation, it is difficult to safely stop the range switching shaft from the drive control state that emphasizes responsiveness during normal operation. However, there is a problem that the safety of the vehicle cannot be sufficiently ensured.
The present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and by providing two angle sensors, even if one of the angle sensors fails, the other angle sensor can perform range switching. An object of the present invention is to provide an electric range switching device for an automatic transmission that can ensure safety even if multiple failures occur in which the normal angle sensor also fails.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
Therefore, according to the first aspect of the present invention, a first angle sensor and a second angle sensor are provided as angle sensors, and when one of the angle sensors fails, the rotation speed of the range switching shaft is detected by the other angle sensor. Is configured to perform a speed feedback control for feeding back the motor so as to match a predetermined target rotation speed.
[0007]
According to the above configuration, when the two angle sensors are both normal, the motor is controlled so that the angle of the range switching shaft corresponds to the required range, but if one of the angle sensors fails, the other angle sensor To detect the rotation speed of the range switching shaft, feedback-control the motor so that the rotation speed matches the target rotation speed, and rotate the motor toward the target angle corresponding to the required range at the target rotation speed.
[0008]
Therefore, even if one of the two angle sensors fails, it is possible to perform range switching. In addition, by performing feedback control of the rotation speed of the range switching shaft, both the two angle sensors are normally operating. Compared with the control, it is possible to drive with the rotation speed of the range switching shaft suppressed stably, and even if multiple failures occur in which the normal-side angle sensor fails during the shift operation, the range switching shaft is safely stopped. It becomes possible.
[0009]
According to the second aspect of the present invention, at the time of the speed feedback control, the motor control signal in the direction opposite to the range switching direction is limited to be smaller than the motor control signal in the forward direction.
According to the above configuration, when a failure occurs in one of the two angle sensors and the speed feedback control is performed based on the rotation speed detected by the other angle sensor on the normal side, the motor control signal in the direction approaching the required range is output. In contrast, the motor control signal for driving the range switching shaft to rotate in the reverse direction is limited to a smaller value, thereby preventing a large driving force from being applied in the reverse direction.
[0010]
Therefore, even if a double failure occurs and there is a time lag before the failure determination, it is possible to avoid a large rotational drive in the reverse direction by mistake.
The invention according to claim 3 further includes an inhibitor switch that is turned on when the range switching shaft is at an angle corresponding to each range, and an angle detected by the other angle sensor is close to a target angle corresponding to a required range. Alternatively, the speed feedback control is terminated when the inhibitor switch corresponding to the required range is turned on.
[0011]
According to the above configuration, if the angle sensor used for the speed feedback control is normal, the speed feedback control is terminated when the detected angle becomes close to the target angle corresponding to the required range. Even when it is not detected that the range is near the target angle, the speed feedback control is terminated by turning on the inhibitor switch, and the range switching shaft is stopped near the target angle.
[0012]
Therefore, even if multiple failures occur during the speed feedback control, it is possible to shift to the required range position while avoiding overshoot of the target position.
[0013]

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described.

The range switching shaft 4 is provided with a detent mechanism 5 for positioning the range switching shaft 4 at an angle corresponding to each of a plurality of ranges.
[0015]
The detent mechanism 5 supports a detent lever 5A that is fixed to the range switching shaft 4 and rotates integrally, and supports a roller that engages with a recess formed on the periphery of the detent lever 5A corresponding to each range. And a detent spring 5B for urging the roller toward the notch.
Then, the detent mechanism 5 positions the range switching shaft 4 at an angle corresponding to any of the P range, the R range, the N range, the D range, the 2 range, and the 1 range.
[0016]
Rotational movement of the range switching shaft 4 is converted into axial movement of the range switching valve 6 by engagement of a detent lever 5A and a range switching valve 6 (spool valve). When the shaft is displaced in the axial direction, the opening and closing of the hydraulic port are switched, whereby the release and engagement of the friction engagement element for setting each shift range are controlled.

In step S64, the detection output of the selected potentiometer is read, and in the next step S65, backup control is executed based on the detection output read in step S64.
The backup control is a control for obtaining the rotation speed of the range switching shaft 4 from the detection output of the selected potentiometer and feeding back the drive duty of the
[0055]
During the backup control, it is preferable to warn the driver by a warning light or a warning sound that the control has been switched to the backup control due to a malfunction of the potentiometer.
Further, the target rotation speed is set to a lower speed than when the range switching shaft 4 is driven to rotate by normal position feedback control.
[0056]
Details of the backup control are shown in the flowchart of FIG.
In the flowchart of FIG. 8, in step S71, the change speed of the detection output of the selected potentiometer, that is, the rotation speed of the range switching shaft 4 is calculated.
In the next step S72, a deviation between the change speed and the speed target value is calculated.

On the other hand, when the select direction is the direction from the 1 range to the P range, the process proceeds to step S76, and the limit value (1) is set to the limiter of the duty when applying the voltage to the
[0060]
The limit value (1) is, for example, about 50%, and the limit value (2) is, for example, about 20%.
In normal position feedback control, driving with a duty of 100% is permitted. However, in speed feedback control (during backup control), the duty is limited, and the motor is driven in the same direction as the select direction. The motor drive duty in the direction opposite to the duty is limited to a smaller value.
[0061]
In step S77, when the drive duty calculated in step S73 exceeds the limiter value set in step S75 or step S76, the duty is set within the limiter value by setting the drive duty to the limiter value.
In step S78, the

By the backup control (speed feedback control), the range switching shaft 4 approaches the required range position, and in step S47, the angle detected by the potentiometer on the normal side substantially matches the target angle corresponding to the required range. When it is determined that the detected angle does not match the target angle corresponding to the required range, the process proceeds to step S48, and when it is determined that the

[0066]
Furthermore, in the backup control (speed feedback control), the motor drive duty is limited, and the drive duty in the reverse rotation direction is limited to a smaller value, whereby the motor is erroneously driven to rotate in the reverse direction. Can be avoided.
Further, even when the end of the backup control (speed feedback control) is not determined from the detection result of the normal potentiometer, the end of the backup control (speed feedback control) is determined based on ON / OFF of the
[0067]
In the above-described embodiment, in the backup control (speed feedback control), the motor drive duty is limited in both rotation directions. However, the restriction may be set only in the reverse rotation direction.
Further, technical ideas other than the claims that can be grasped from the above embodiment will be described below together with their effects.

[0068]
According to the above configuration, when one of the angle sensors fails, feedback control is performed so that the range switching shaft is rotated toward the target angle at a constant speed lower than that in the normal control.
Therefore, at the time of the speed feedback control, the shift operation is performed at a low speed at which the motor can be stopped immediately, and when a double failure occurs, the range switching shaft can be reliably stopped at a safe position.
(B) The electric range switching device for an automatic transmission according to any one of

Determining a failure of the angle sensor when a state in which the range estimated from the angle detected by each of the first angle sensor and the second angle sensor does not match the range indicated by the inhibitor switch for a predetermined time or more; An electric range switching device for an automatic transmission, characterized by:
[0069]
According to the above configuration, the range at that time is estimated based on the angles detected by the first angle sensor and the second angle sensor, and the estimation result does not match the range indicated by the inhibitor switch. When a predetermined time has elapsed, the failure of the angle sensor is determined.
Therefore, the failure of each angle sensor can be accurately determined based on the range indicated by the inhibitor switch.
(C) The electric range switching device for an automatic transmission according to any one of
An electric range switching device for an automatic transmission, wherein the motor is immediately stopped when both the first angle sensor and the second angle sensor fail.
[0070]
According to the above configuration, when only one of the angle sensors is out of order, the motor is driven by the speed feedback control. However, when both of them are out of order, the motor is immediately stopped and the shift operation is stopped.
Accordingly, even if the normal angle sensor fails during the speed feedback control and the double failure state occurs, it is possible to prevent the range switching shaft from being driven to the wrong angular position.
