Description

【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a label used by attaching to a product or a container thereof, mainly for displaying a product name, various kinds of information, and the like.
[0002]
[Prior art]
A wide variety of materials, such as papers and various films, are used as materials for labels to be attached to products and their containers.
[0003]
In recent years, the need for labels that can be easily peeled off from adherends has been increasing due to the need for recycling by reducing the amount of waste and separating and collecting the waste. In particular, in the recycling process of glass bottles and PET bottles, there is a step of peeling off the label with hot water or hot alkaline water, and using a hot water soluble adhesive or a label using a hot alkaline water soluble adhesive Development is underway. Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2000-112361 discloses a label which is separated from a PET bottle with hot water using a hot water-soluble adhesive.
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
[0004]
However, when a hot water-soluble adhesive is used, the adhesive dissolves in the washing water, and the wastewater cannot be drained without removing the dissolved adhesive component, so that the wastewater treatment is expensive. In addition, since a small amount of adhesive is mixed, the quality of the recycled material is reduced.
[0005]
Therefore, the present inventors have conducted intensive research and controlled the adhesive strength to such an extent that the bottle or label base material is peeled off by the force of deformation by heat, so that it can be peeled off using an adhesive that is not soluble in hot water. With the idea that there is, we have completed the present invention.
[0006]
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a label that can be peeled off with hot water by using an adhesive that is not soluble in hot water and by controlling the adhesive force. Cost reduction and quality improvement of recycled materials. In particular, it is essential that PET bottles are easily peeled off with hot water at the time of recycling and that no glue component remains in the recycled material.
[Means for Solving the Problems]
[0007]
The adhesive used can be any adhesive as long as the adhesive force can be controlled. However, it is possible to use adhesive tacky adhesive whose adhesiveness does not easily change over time, or to develop adhesiveness with hot air, etc. Persistent delayed tack glue is preferred. In particular, for an adherend that deforms due to external pressure, such as a PET bottle, when the bottle is deformed due to external pressure with an adhesive that hardens over time, the label may peel off without following the deformation. Further, if the adhesiveness is increased, it becomes difficult to remove the adhesive with hot water. FIG. 1 shows a cross-sectional view of an example. Peeling is also caused by thermal deformation of the adherend, such as a blow-molded PET bottle, and also caused by thermal shrinkage of an OPP film stretched during manufacturing. It can be peeled off even in a washing tank using a jet stream.
[0008]
The method of controlling the adhesive force can be easily achieved not only by selecting the glue but also by controlling the amount of glue applied. Roll coater method, reverse coater method, knife coater method, air doctor coater method, blade coater method, gravure coater method, flexo coater method, letterpress coater method, screen coater method can be used if the coating method can control the amount of glue applied. Various methods are possible.
[0009]
As a means for controlling the adhesive force, it is also possible to make the application portion partial. FIG. 2 shows a cross-sectional view of one example. Further, as a means for controlling the adhesive force, a coating layer having no adhesiveness may be partially applied to the adhesive layer applied over the entire surface. FIG. 3 shows a cross-sectional view of one example. Various methods such as a gravure coater method, a flexo coater method, a letterpress coater method, and a screen coater method can be used as a method of partially applying an adhesive and a method of partially applying a coating layer.
[0010]
Further, as a means for controlling the adhesiveness, there is a method of roughening the glue surface. In order to roughen the glue surface, a solid powder that is hydrophilic and insoluble in hot water is preferable, and powders such as silica and extender pigments can be used. The particle size is 0.1 to 100 μm, preferably 1 to 100 μm. 〜1010 μm.
[0011]
【Example】
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described with reference to examples.
Example 1 was a sheet in which a commercially available acrylic tack paste insoluble in hot water was applied to a foamed pet film at 5 to 8 g / m 2 . Further, Example 2 was a sheet in which the central portion of the tack paste was UV-coated with a convex wheel printing machine to eliminate the adhesiveness. Further, a sheet obtained by adding 2% of silica powder having an average particle size of 4 μm to the tack paste of Example 1 and applying 12 to 15 g / m 2 to a foamed PET film was used as Example 3. Example 4 was a sheet obtained by applying 5 to 8 g / m 2 of delayed tack glue which maintains the adhesiveness to the OPP film. Further, Example 5 was a sheet in which the delayed tack paste of Example 4 and 5 to 8 g / m 2 of the OPP film were applied in a checkered pattern.
As a comparative example, a sheet in which the tack paste of Example 1 was applied to a foamed PET film at 12 to 15 g / m 2 was taken as Comparative Example 1. Further, Comparative Example 2 was a sheet in which a commercially available tack paste soluble in hot water was applied to a foamed PET film in an amount of 12 to 15 g / m 2 .
[0012]
One week after sticking the above Examples and Comparative Examples to a commercially available PET bottle, they were immersed in hot water at 90 ° C. to confirm the peelability of the label. Further, the label was immersed in hot water at 90 ° C. for 3 hours, and the presence or absence of dissolution of the adhesive in the hot water was confirmed from the change in weight.
[0013]
Table 1 shows the results.

[0014]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, in the hot water peelable label according to claim 1 of the present invention, the adhesive force with the adherend is controlled while using an adhesive insoluble in hot water. Due to the heat deformation of the label base material, the label base material can be easily peeled off with hot water or hot alkaline water. Furthermore, in a washing tank provided with a jet stream, the stripping is more effective. Therefore, the label can be peeled off without soiling the washing water with the adhesive.
[0016]
The hot water peelable label according to claim 2 enables peeling with hot water by controlling the amount of glue applied. Further, the hot water peelable label according to claim 3 enables peeling with hot water by partially applying an adhesive. The hot water peelable label according to claim 4 enables peeling with hot water by applying a coating layer partially non-adhesive to the adhesive layer. Furthermore, the hot water peelable label according to claim 5 enables peeling with hot water by adding a hydrophilic solid powder to the adhesive.
[0017]
As the adhesive to be used, various pastes such as tacky tack paste and delayed tack paste can be used. The hot water peelable label according to claim 8 is easily peelable with hot water, and promotes the recycling of PET bottles.
