本発明は、骨細管(bone canal)へ挿入するための栓に関する。

【従来の技術】
骨細管へ挿入するための栓は一般に知られており、補綴移植中にセメントの流
れを制限するために使用される。
【０００３】 移植手術、特に股関節部の補綴物の移植のための手術においては、補綴物を骨
へセメント接着することが普通実施される。補綴物を骨へセメント接着するため
に、柱状の多孔性骨部分を除き、残った皮質の堅い骨部分が骨細管の壁を規定す
るように、骨細管に穴をあけ、または穴を広げられる。次に、補綴物の固定部分
が、骨細管へと挿入される。例えば、補綴物の球状部分が外へ広がって、股関節
部の天然の骨の球状部分と置き換わるように、股関節部の補綴物の固定部分が、
穴をあけられた大腿骨へと挿入される。

ealingly)または閉塞的に(blockingly)骨細管と協同するわけではないことであ

【００２２】 ポリエステル成分は好ましくは、単位-O-E-O-CO-R-CO-を有し、ここで、Oは酸
素を表し、Cは炭素を表し、Eは置換または非置換の、２〜８個の炭素原子を有す
るアルキレンもしくはオキシジアルキレン基であり、Rは置換または非置換の２
価芳香族基である。
【００２３】 好ましい実施態様においては、ポリエステルは、ポリエチレンテレフタレート
、ポリプロピレンテレフタレートおよびポリブチレンテレフタレートからなる群
より選択される。非常に好ましいポリエステルは、ポリブチレンテレフタレート

【００２５】 ポリエチレングリコールテレフタレート／ポリブチレンテレフタレートコポリ
マーは、ジメチルテレフタレート、ブタンジオール（過剰）、ポリエチレングリ
コール、酸化防止剤および触媒の混合物から合成することができる。混合物を反
応容器中に置き、約180℃に加熱し、エステル交換が進行するにつれてメタノー
ルが留出する。エステル交換中、メチルとのエステル結合が、ブチレンおよび／
またはポリエチレングリコールとのエステル結合で置換される。エステル交換後
、温度をゆっくりと約245℃に上げ、減圧（最終的に0.1ミリバール未満）を達成
する。過剰のブタンジオールを留去し、ブタンジオールテレフタレートのプレポ
リマーがポリエチレングリコールと縮合して、ポリエチレン／ポリブチレンテレ
フタレートコポリマーを形成する。テレフタレート部分は、ポリエチレングリコ
ール単位をコポリマーのポリブチレンテレフタレート単位に結合し、かくして、
そのようなコポリマーはまたときには、ポリエチレングリコールテレフタレート
／ポリブチレンテレフタレートコポリマー（PEGT/PBTコポリマー）と称する。

【００２９】 図１および２は、骨細管へと挿入するための栓１を示す。栓１は、実質的に一
定の断面積の細長い中心体２を含む。中心体２は、等しい形および大きさの、４
つの半径方向に広がるフランジを有する。フランジ３は、切れ目のない閉じた表
面を有する固い円盤状の構造を形成する。フランジ３は、どのような切れ目も含
まず、変形すると、閉じた封止表面を維持する。フランジ３は、体１の中心軸A
に沿って軸方向に間隔をあけられ、実質的に平行な平面Pにおいて広がる。栓１
は、上記したように、ポリアルキレングリコールテレフタレートおよび芳香族ポ
リエステルのコポリマーでできている。
【００３０】 中心体１は、その正面部分４に、正面フランジ５を有する。正面フランジ５は
、他のフランジ３に比べてより小さい半径寸法を有する。図面において、その差
はΔRで示される。このようにして、栓１の正面部分４を、骨細管中へより容易
に挿入することができ、挿入されると、中心付け(centering)効果を与える。挿
入をさらに促進するために、正面フランジ５は、凸面状上部表面６を有する。示
された実施態様においては、他のフランジの上部表面９はまた、挿入中に栓の後
方末端８の方向に少し曲げられているか、または傾斜している。好ましくは、フ
ランジ５、３は実質的に平面であるか、または後方へ傾斜する底部表面９を有す
る。さらに、フランジ３、５は、上部表面６、７から後方表面９へ広がる丸くな

Claims (11)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】 骨細管に挿入するための栓であって、実質的に等しい形およ
    び大きさの少なくとも４つの半径方向に広がる該フランジを有する、実質的に一
    定の断面積の細長い中心体を含み、フランジは、実質的に平行な平面で広がるよ
    うに、体の中心軸に沿って軸方向に間隔をあけられており、該栓はポリアルキレ
    ングリコールテレフタレートおよび芳香族ポリエステルのコポリマーでできてい
    るところの栓。
  2. 【請求項２】 少なくとも１つのフランジが、曲げ域を取り囲む支持域に比
    べて減少された材料厚みを有する少なくとも１つの曲げ域を備えている請求項１
    記載の栓。
  3. 【請求項３】 フランジが、閉じた表面を有する固い円盤状構造を形成する
    請求項１または２記載の栓。
  4. 【請求項４】 中心体が、少なくとも５つの半径方向に広がるフランジを有
    し、中心体の正面部分にある正面フランジは、他のフランジと比べて小さい半径
    寸法を備えている請求項１〜３のいずれか１項記載の栓。
  5. 【請求項５】 少なくとも正面フランジが、凸面状に曲げられた上部表面を
    有する請求項３または４記載の栓。
  6. 【請求項６】 フランジが、実質的に平らな底部表面を含む請求項１〜５の
    いずれか１項記載の栓。
  7. 【請求項７】 フランジが丸くなった端を備えている請求項１〜６のいずれ
    か１項記載の栓。
  8. 【請求項８】 中心体が、中心体の後方部分から軸方向に伸びる盲穴を備え
    ている請求項１〜７のいずれか１項記載の栓。
  9. 【請求項９】 中心体の後方部分が、フランジの裏表面として半径方向に広
    がる請求項１〜７のいずれか１項記載の栓。
  10. 【請求項１０】 ポリアルキレングリコールテレフタレートがポリエチレン
    グリコールテレフタレートであり、かつ芳香族ポリエステルがポリブチレンテレ
    フタレートである請求項１〜９のいずれか１項記載の栓。
  11. 【請求項１１】 コポリマーが、コポリマーの重量に基づいて20〜90重量％
    （好ましくは50〜80重量％）のポリエチレングリコールテレフタレートを含む請
    求項１０記載の栓。
