Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a laser welding method for an aluminum alloy plate in which an aluminum alloy thin plate is butt welded by laser welding. 2. Description of the Related Art As is well known, when performing laser welding of an aluminum alloy, a shield gas is generally used in the vicinity of the molten metal for preventing oxidation and removing laser-induced plasma. As a shielding method at the time of laser welding of an aluminum alloy, there are a side gas shield, a center gas shield, a shield box, and the like. And as a kind of shielding gas, argon gas, helium gas,
Nitrogen gas or a combination of these gases is used. However, in these conventional laser welding methods, the shielding property of the weld metal part is obtained in the case of a welded part with poor shielding property or when the welding speed is increased. In some cases, the welded portion becomes unstable, weld defects such as undercuts frequently occur, and the joint performance is significantly deteriorated. The present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and in laser welding of an aluminum alloy plate,
It is an object of the present invention to provide a laser welding method for an aluminum alloy plate capable of obtaining sound butt-welded joint performance even when the shielding performance is deteriorated or when there is no shielding gas. The laser welding method for an aluminum alloy plate according to the present invention is a method in which an aluminum alloy thin plate is butted and shield gas free, and the butted portion is YAG.
Welding is performed by a laser welding method using a laser to produce a weld metal part having an Mg content of 1.0% by mass or less and an Si content of 0.2% by mass or more. In the present invention, the welding material and the filler material are appropriately combined and the Mg content and Si content of the weld are defined, so that no shielding gas is used, or Even in an atmosphere where there is substantially no shielding gas as in the case where the welding speed is increased, a stable bead can be formed, sound joint performance can be obtained, and joint efficiency is improved. Sound joint performance means that the fracture position during the tensile test does not occur in the weld metal part,
It occurs at the base material or the base material softened part caused by welding heat. DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS Embodiments of the present invention will be described below.
Specific description will be given with reference to the accompanying drawings. In order to reduce the disturbance of the weld due to oxidation at the weld metal part, the present invention for solving the above-mentioned problems takes the following options as means for laser welding of the aluminum alloy plate. . First, in the selection of the laser heat source, a YAG laser that is less affected by laser-induced plasma unique to laser welding is selected so as not to increase the oxidizability of the weld metal part by ionizing the atmospheric gas. If the weld metal part being welded contains a large amount of Mg having a low melting point, a low boiling point, and a high oxidizing property,
Because the disorder of the weld occurs due to the oxidation of Mg,
The Mg content is limited to 1.0% by mass or less. In order to ensure the fluidity of the weld metal part in a shield gas-free environment, it is necessary that the weld metal part contains 0.2% by mass or more of Si. In order to adjust the content of the weld metal part,
This can be realized by limiting Mg and Si in the material to be welded to the above composition. For example, Si is included and Mg content is low 6
000 series alloys, 3000 series alloys with low Mg content, and the like can be used. When a filler material is used during welding, the content of the weld metal portion formed by melting the welded material and the filler material may be in the above range. For example, M
Use JIS4346 alloy with low g and select 6000 series alloy as the material to be welded.
i content can be adjusted to the above-mentioned range. By optimizing the combination of the welding condition factors as described above, when laser welding of an aluminum alloy plate is performed, even if the shielding performance is deteriorated or there is no shielding gas, the laser welding ensures a sound condition. Butt weld joint performance can be obtained. EXAMPLES In order to verify the effect of shield gas free in YAG laser welding, the test results of YAG laser welding from the method of the embodiment of the present invention and the comparative method outside the scope of the present invention will be described below. explain. FIG. 1A shows a welding method when there is no shield gas as in the present invention, and FIG. 1B shows a welding method when shield gas is used.
The aluminum alloy thin plate 4 that is the material to be welded is butted and the butted portion is welded by the laser beam 1 to form the weld metal portion 3. In this case, in FIG. 1A, a so-called air curtain 10 is formed by flowing air parallel to the welding line at a flow rate of about 5 kgf / cm 2 without using a shielding gas.
On the other hand, FIG. 1B shows that 27 liters of shielding gas 11 such as Ar gas is directed from the periphery of the laser beam 1 toward the weld.
Run in minutes. In these welding methods, laser welding was performed under the conditions shown in Table 1 below. The condition with the shield gas is a center shield gas system coaxial with the YAG laser beam, and the welded portion is shielded by supplying Ar shield gas at a flow rate of 27 liters / minute. [Table 1] The materials shown in Table 2 below were used for the production of butt joints of aluminum alloy plates as materials to be welded.
It is a butt joint with a plate thickness of 2.0 mm. [Table 2] The filler material added to the weld metal part 3 is:
General A5356 (Al-5.0Mg), A4043
(Al-5.0Si), A4047 (Al-12.0S
Using i), the effect of the presence or absence of shielding gas on the butt weld joint performance was investigated. FIGS. 2 (a) and 2 (b) are metallographic micrographs showing the cross-sectional shapes of the welds prepared using various weld materials and filler materials under the condition without shield gas. FIG.
(A) shows a healthy weld, and FIG. 2 (b) shows a typical example of an undercut defect. The presence or absence of such an undercut defect was determined from the appearance of the welded portion, and the case where the undercut defect was recognized was determined as x, and the case where it was not recognized was determined as ◯. The results are shown in Table 2 below. When the material to be welded is a 5000 series aluminum alloy such as 5052 and 5182, the filler material is A5.
Even if it is changed to 356, A4043, and A4047, it can be confirmed that a weld defect represented by an undercut exists in the weld metal portion of the butt joint. In addition, when the material to be welded is 1100, 3004, and 6N01, the same welding defects as above exist only when the filler material is A5356, but when the filler material is A4043 and A4047, the undercut It was confirmed that a smooth surfacing shape without a gap was obtained. When laser welding is performed under conditions with a shielding gas, the above-described undercut defects are not recognized at all. On the other hand, in the shield gas free environment, undercut defects occurred in all cases where A5356 having a high Mg content was used as the filler material. When the filler material is changed to A4043 and A4047, A3
When welding an aluminum alloy having a Mg content of 1.0% by weight or more, such as 004, A5052, and A5182,
The weld surface was disturbed, resulting in undercut defects. A110
In 0, the Mg content was 1.0% by weight or less, but because of the low Si content, slight undercut defects occurred. In A6063 and A6N01, the Mg content was adjusted to 1.0% by weight or less, and the Si content was adjusted to 0.2% by weight or more, so that a good weld without undercut defects could be formed even in a shield gas-free environment. From the above, it has been found that the aluminum alloy can form a sound welded part even in a shield-free environment during laser welding by optimally selecting the filler material. [Table 3] As described above in detail, according to the present invention,
YAG laser is used as the laser heat source in the butt joint of aluminum alloy plate, and Mg content is 1.0 mass%
Hereinafter, since a weld metal part having a Si content of 0.2% by mass or more was produced, there is an effect that an extremely sound welded joint can be obtained without a shielding gas.
