Field of the Invention [0002] The present invention relates to a header for forging a work such as a screw or a screw from a wire such as a wire, and particularly to maintenance management of a die block and a finger unit. The present invention relates to an advantageous die block support structure. 2. Description of the Related Art A header has a die block having a die and a ram having a punch opposed to the die. By moving the ram forward and backward relative to the die block, a screw is formed from a wire. It produces workpieces such as screws and screws. [0003] A finger unit is provided on the upper part of the die block. The wire rod is chucked by the finger provided on the finger unit and sent to the front of the die. Is supposed to do it. For example, when the object to be processed is changed, a die removably mounted on the front surface of the die block must be replaced. Generally, a plurality of dies are provided on the die block, and a plurality of fingers are provided corresponding to the number of the die blocks. [0005] The ram and the die block are provided close to each other. Conventionally, when performing maintenance such as replacement of a die or inspection of a finger unit, an operator must use the ram and the die block. He leaned into the narrow space between the blocks and extended his hand to perform maintenance work. However, in such a small space, it is difficult to perform maintenance management work, and maintenance work requires a great deal of labor and labor. Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a header which can advantageously perform maintenance management of a die block, a finger unit, and the like. For this purpose, a header according to the present invention comprises a ram having a punch, a die block having a die opposed to the punch, and a ram relatively to the die block. Forward / backward means for forward / backward movement, a finger unit provided on an upper part of the die block, a finger provided on the finger unit for chucking a wire and sending it to the front of the die, a fixed block for fixing the die block, and a die block And a die block lifting / lowering device that raises the die block to a position above the fixed block and supports the die block and the finger unit in a horizontally rotatable manner. According to the present invention, when performing maintenance management of the die block, the finger unit, and the like, the die block is raised to above the fixed block by the elevating device, and the die block and the finger unit are horizontally rotated there, and the front surface thereof is rotated. (The surface on which the dies are provided and the surface on which the fingers are provided) are directed sideways. Thus, if the die block and the finger unit are horizontally rotated to change the direction, the operator can easily perform maintenance work of the dies and the fingers. Then, when the maintenance work is completed, the die block and the finger unit are horizontally rotated again and lowered to a predetermined height so that the front surface faces the front surface of the ram (the surface on which the punch is provided). An embodiment of the present invention will be described below. 1 is a side view of the header, FIG. 2 is a side view of the header during maintenance, and FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the die block and the finger unit. In FIG. 1, a main body box 2 is provided on a base 1. A ram 3 is provided on one side of the main body box 2. The ram 3 has a punch 4 on its front surface. Reference numeral 5 denotes a flywheel, and an endless belt 8 is tuned to the pulley 7 driven by the motor 6 and the flywheel 5. When the motor 6 is driven, the flywheel 5
Rotates, and the ram 3 moves forward and backward relative to the die block 10. That is, the elements denoted by reference numerals 5 to 8 are:
Forward retreating means for retreating the ram 3 relatively to the die block 10 is constituted. A die block 10 is provided in front of the ram 3. A die 11 facing the punch 4 is detachably mounted on the front surface of the die block 10. Generally, a plurality of dies 11 are provided side by side. The finger unit 1 is located above the die block 10.
2 are installed. A finger 13 is provided on the front surface of the finger unit 12. A plurality of fingers 13 are provided in the lateral direction corresponding to the number of the dies 11. The fingers 13 are driven by a mechanism built in the finger unit 12, and chuck the wire 9, which is an object of the forging, to form the dies 11. Send to the front. 1 and 3, a die block 10 is supported and fixed to a U-shaped fixing block 14 in plan view on the back surface and both side surfaces. The fixed block 14 receives an impact when the ram 3 advances and the punch 4 collides with the die block 10 side. The die block 10 is supported by a rod 16 of a hydraulic cylinder 15 so as to be horizontally rotatable from below.
When the rod 16 projects, the die block 10 rises to a position above the fixed block 14 (height at which the die 16 can be rotated horizontally). When the rod 16 is retracted, the die block 10
Moves down to the position inside the fixed block 14. The hydraulic cylinder 15 is a lifting device for the die block 10 and the finger unit 12. This header has the above-described configuration, and its operation and handling method will be described next. FIG.
This shows a normal operation (during wire rod processing). The wire 9 is fed into the front of the die 11 by the finger 13,
Then, when the ram 3 moves forward and backward, the wire 9 is forged and a desired work is manufactured. In the case of changing the type of work, the die 11 needs to be replaced. Adjustment of the finger 13 or the like may be necessary. Conventionally, such maintenance management is performed by, for example, inserting a hand in a narrow space between the ram 3 and the die block 10 as described above. On the other hand, this header has a cylinder 15
The die block 10 is raised above the fixed block 14 by projecting the rod 16, and the die block 10 and the finger unit 12 are horizontally rotated so as to integrally face forward. FIG. 2 shows a state where the die block 10 and the finger unit 12 are horizontally rotated by 90 ° in this manner. If the orientation of the die block 10 and the finger unit 12 is changed in this way, the operator can easily perform maintenance management work such as replacement of the die 11 and adjustment of the finger 13 with respect to the front of the die 11 and the finger 13. it can. After the maintenance work is completed, the die block 10 and the finger unit 12 are rotated horizontally to return to the original orientation, and then the rod 16 of the cylinder 15 is retracted to move the die block 10 and the finger unit 12 to a predetermined height. It is lowered and returned to the predetermined working position shown in FIG. As described above, the present invention is provided with a die block lifting / lowering device which raises the die block to a position above the fixed block and supports the die block and the finger unit in a freely rotatable manner. Therefore, maintenance and management of the die block, the finger unit, and the like can be advantageously performed.
