2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, in a so-called light bulb type fluorescent lamp, an arc tube and a lighting device are electrically connected to each other, and a desired portion of a cap shell is fixed by caulking and fixed, and a top wire connected to the lighting device is connected to a cap eyelet portion. In addition, a configuration is known in which a side wire is electrically and mechanically connected to a base shell portion. For example, the structure is disclosed in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2000-48633.

However, in the conventional structure in which the top wire connected to the lighting device is electrically and mechanically connected to the mouthpiece eyelet portion and the side wire is connected to the mouthpiece shell portion, respectively, the assembling apparatus is used. However, there is a problem that the automatic assembling work becomes difficult. That is, when the lighting device is housed in the cover, the top wire and the side wire are led out from the opening formed in the cylindrical portion of the cover to which the base is attached. There were times when we couldn't position accurately because of the entanglement. The top wire and the side wire are guided from the opening of a relatively large diameter on the holder mounting side of the cover while coming into contact with the inner surface of the cover, and guided out from the opening of the cylindrical portion of a relatively small diameter. At this time, a pair of electric wires easily cross each other and become entangled.

As described above, when the top wire and the side wire are entangled with each other, it is not possible to accurately position these wires, which not only hinders the work of mounting the mouthpiece, but also causes the side wire to be attached before the mouthpiece is attached. When the wire is pulled out to the side of the cylindrical portion, the top wire is pulled together with the side wire toward the mouthpiece shell, which makes the positioning of the top wire even more difficult and the wiring work becomes complicated.

When the electronic component is located in the cylindrical portion, the convex portion on the inner surface of the cover cylindrical portion is formed so as to protrude so as not to contact the electronic component. For example, it is formed in the vicinity of the cutout portion that leads out the side wire from the inner surface of the cylindrical portion toward the center of the circle. However, in the case where an electronic component or the like does not interfere, it may be formed so as to be located between the pair of electric wires extending from the lighting device, and the protruding shape thereof is not limited.

According to the first aspect of the invention, when the lighting device is housed in the cover, the pair of electric wires are led out from the opening of the cylindrical portion of the cover with the convex portions located between them. Therefore, the pair of electric wires can be prevented from being entangled with each other, and the pair of electric wires can be reliably positioned during automatic assembly, thus improving work efficiency.
