Abstract

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a window handrail for preventing falling provided on a window of a building.

2. Description of the Related Art As is well known, when a window is provided on a wall surface of a building, when a fall accident from the window is concerned, specifically, the lower end of the opening of the window that can be opened from the indoor floor surface. If it is 1100 mm or less, it is obligatory to provide a handrail for fall prevention. Therefore, for example, when such a window is provided in a dwelling unit of an apartment house as shown in FIG. 4, a metal pipe 2 is provided inside the window 1.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION An embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. The window handrail of the present embodiment is applied to the window 1 that opens outward in a housing complex as shown in FIG. 4, and instead of the conventional handrail made of pipe 2 inside the lower end portion of the window 1, a horizontally long window rail is used. [Claims] 1. A handrail for falling prevention provided on a window of a building, wherein the left and right vertical frames constituting the window frame are fixed by facing handrail frames having a groove-shaped cross section and functioning as handrail plates. A window handrail characterized in that both side edges of a transparent plate are fitted to these handrail frames. 2. The window handrail according to claim 1, wherein a clearance is ensured between a lower frame forming the window frame and a lower end edge of the handrail plate. 3. The window handrail according to claim 1 or 2, wherein cover pieces are attached to the upper and lower edge portions of the handrail frame, respectively.
