記端子金具の係止部に対して係脱可能な係止突起を有す
る弾性係止片と、該弾性係止片の弾性撓みを許容する撓
み空間とを備えたコネクタハウジングへの端子金具の挿
入方法であって、 上記弾性係止片に係合して該弾性係止片を上記撓み空間
側へ撓み変形させる操作ピンをコネクタハウジング内に
挿入して、上記弾性係止片の係止突起を上記端子金具の
挿抜経路から退避させ、次いで上記端子金具を上記キャ
ビティ内へ挿入し、上記端子金具が正規位置まで挿入さ
れた後、上記操作ピンを引き抜いて上記弾性係止片を弾
性復帰させて上記係止突起を上記端子金具の係止部に係
止させるようにしたことを特徴とするコネクタハウジン
グへの端子金具の挿入方法。
