Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a motorcycle frame structure, and more particularly, to a motorcycle provided with a main frame extending rearward from a head pipe above an engine. It has a mono backbone frame format. 2. Description of the Related Art A motorcycle having a body frame of the above-mentioned mono backbone frame type is known. Also, place the fuel tank on this mono backbone frame,
It is also known to provide a pump opening at its bottom and cover it with a lid holding the fuel pump. [0003] When an opening for a fuel pump is provided at the bottom of a fuel tank as in the above-mentioned conventional example, it is necessary to enhance the sealing performance of a lid covering this opening. In particular, it is desired that the opening for the fuel pump be hardly deformed by an impact load applied to the fuel tank from the side of the vehicle body. Then, this invention aims at realization of such a request. [0004] In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, a motorcycle body frame structure according to the present application has a main frame extending rearward from a head pipe above an engine. It has a body frame of a mono backbone frame type and a fuel tank supported on the body frame. A pump opening is provided at the bottom of the fuel tank, and the pump opening is closed with a lid holding the fuel pump. In a motorcycle, a reinforcing frame that covers a side of the pump opening is provided on the vehicle body frame. [0005] Since a reinforcing frame is provided to cover the side of the lid, even if an impact load is applied to the fuel tank from the side of the vehicle body, the impact load is absorbed by the reinforcing frame, and the fuel tank is used for the lid and the pump. Prevents opening deformation. Therefore, it is easy to ensure the sealing performance between the lid and the pump opening. Further, since the reinforcing frame serves as a guide when the fuel tank is mounted, the mounting of the fuel tank is facilitated, and after the mounting, the backlash of the fuel tank can be prevented by the reinforcing frame. An embodiment will be described below with reference to the drawings. 1 is a side view of a motorcycle to which this embodiment is applied, FIG. 2 is a side view of a vehicle body frame, FIG. 3 is a plan view of a main part of the vehicle body frame, and FIG. 4 is a partial side view of the vehicle body frame near a head pipe.
