Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved rain gutter preventing most of rainwater dropping onto a front side plate of the rain gutter from scattering forward in the middle of the front side plate for preventing penetration of the rainwater to a gutter bottom face. SOLUTION: In this rain gutter, the front side plate 2 and a rear side plate 3 are formed integrally from both of the front and rear sides of the bottom plate 1, and an upper part 2a is tilted backward diagonally from the intermediate bending part of the front side plate 2. In the intermediate bending part or its upper side vicinity in the front side plate 2, an overhang 5 projecting forward is formed along the overall length of the rainwater gutter. Most of rainwater dropping onto the upper part 2a in the front side plate 2 flows over the upper face of the projection bar part 5 and splashes forward from the front edge of the overhang 5, so that penetration of the rainwater to the gutter bottom face can be prevented.

2. Description of the Related Art In a conventional general rain gutter, rainwater falling on the front side plate of the rain gutter travels along the front side plate and reaches the bottom of the gutter, so that raindrops may drop from the bottom of the gutter even after the rain stops. , There was a problem that the bottom of the rain gutter got dirty because of the traces of rainwater flowing around. Particularly in many recent rain gutters, the upper part of the front side plate is slanted to the rear side, and a large amount of rainwater falls on the upper part of the slanted front side plate. Therefore, it is desired to solve the above problems.

Under these circumstances, as shown in FIG.
A rain gutter has been developed in which a water receiving portion 102 is formed in the middle bent portion of the front side plate 101 that bends in a "dogleg" shape over the entire length of the rain gutter. In this rain gutter, the upper part of the front side plate 10 which is inclined to the rear side is inclined.
The rainwater that has fallen on 1a flows into the water receiving portion 102, and the rainwater that has flowed in flows through the water receiving portion 102 and flows into the rain gutter from the open end of the water receiving portion 102 at the connection part with the water collector and the gutter joint. Since it is then drained, the problem that rainwater reaches the bottom of the rain gutter (lower surface of the bottom plate 103) is solved.

However, since the rainwater flowing along the upper part 101a of the front side plate and flowing into the water receiving portion 102 contains a considerable amount of dust, the rainwater and the water collector or the joint of the rainwater gutter are connected to each other. The open end of the water receiving part 102 or the middle part of the water receiving part 102 is easily clogged with dust, and when it is clogged, rainwater overflows from the water receiving part 102 and falls to the ground, or the overflowed rainwater falls below the front plate. There is a problem to be solved that it goes around the lower surface of the bottom plate 103 along 101b.

In the vicinity of the upper side of the intermediate bent portion of the front side plate 2, a hollow convex strip 5 projecting forward is formed over the entire length of the rain gutter. In the middle bent portion of the front side plate 2, a groove-shaped water receiving portion 6 which is recessed obliquely inward of the gutter is formed over the entire length of the gutter.
A plurality of drain holes 6a are formed at the rear end of the water receiving portion 6 so that the water receiving portion 6 leads to the inside of the gutter. The drain holes 6a are preferably holes having a diameter of about 4 to 10 mm so as not to be clogged with dust or the like, and are preferably formed at intervals of about several tens of cm.

The ridge portion 5 is formed in order to scatter rainwater flowing down along the front surface of the front side plate upper portion 2a from the tip of the ridge portion to the front side. The upper surface of the line portion 5 is an inclined surface that is inclined obliquely downward to the front. The inclination angle of the upper surface of the ridge portion 5 is preferably set to about 10 to 30 ° with respect to the horizontal so that the inclination angle is gentler than the inclination of the front side plate upper portion 2a. It is good, and it is possible to force rainwater to fly forward. Further, the upper surface of the ridge portion 5 may be a curved surface that is smoothly continuous to the front surface of the front side plate upper portion 2a. In that case, the rainwater can flow more smoothly and the scattering property from the tip of the ridge portion 5 can be further improved. There is an advantage of improving. Since the rainwater that scatters and falls in this way does not fall into one place, it does not pierce the ground below the gutter to form a rain mark, and also falls on the handrail below the gutter and produces a sound. There is nothing to do.

Further, at the lower end of the front side plate 2, a small draining projection 7 protruding downward is formed over the entire length of the rain gutter. When the rainwater falls on the lower portion 2 of the front side plate, the drainage protrusions 7 drop the rainwater so as not to go around to the bottom plate 1.

As shown in FIG. 2, the rain gutter having the above-described structure has a front ear support portion 11a and a rear ear support portion 11b of a rain gutter fitting 11 made of a synthetic resin fixed to the nose cover 10 at the eaves tip. Thus, by mounting the ears 4a at the upper end of the front side plate 2 and the ears 4b at the upper end of the rear side plate 3 of the rain gutter from below, they are attached to the eaves.

When the rain gutter is attached to the eaves in this way, the rainwater that has fallen on the front side plate upper portion 2a that is inclined rearward is
The rainwater flows down along the front surface of the front side plate upper portion 2a, and most of the rainwater flows along the upper surface of the ridge portion 5 and is scattered forward from the tip. Then, a very small part of the rainwater that has not been scattered goes around to the lower surface of the ridge portion 5, flows into the water receiving portion 6, and flows into the rain gutter through the drain hole 6a. Therefore, it is possible to reliably prevent the rainwater that has fallen on the front side plate upper portion 2a from flowing around to the bottom surface of the rain gutter (the lower surface of the bottom plate 1). Further, rainwater rarely falls on the lower part 2b of the front side plate, but even if it rains, the rainwater drops by the draining projections 7 and therefore does not wrap around to the bottom of the gutter. In addition, the water receiving portion 6 has a drain hole 6
It is not always necessary to provide a, and the rainwater in the water receiving portion 6 may flow into the rain gutter from the connection point between the gutter and the gutter joint.

As described above, this rain gutter is provided with the front plate upper part 2a.
Neither the rainwater that falls on the lower part of the front plate 2b nor the rainwater that falls on the lower part of the front plate 2b will wrap around to the bottom of the gutter, so after the rain has stopped, raindrops will drop from the bottom of the gutter, or traces of spilling rainwater will remain and the bottom of the gutter will be dirty. Can be reliably prevented, and dust and the like adhering to the upper portion 2a of the front side plate can be scattered and dropped from the upper surface of the protruding portion 5 together with rainwater, so that the water receiving portion 6 and the drain hole 6a are It is possible to reliably prevent the rainwater from overflowing and falling from the water receiving portion 6 without being clogged with dust.

In this rain gutter, a water receiving portion is not formed in the middle bent portion of the front side plate 2, but a ridge 50 having a lateral L-shaped cross section protruding forward is formed in the middle bent portion. A water draining portion 50a is formed at the tip end portion of the lower portion 50 which is bent. In order to enhance the scattering of rainwater, the ridges 50 are

Even in such a rain gutter, the rainwater that has fallen on the upper part 2a of the front plate is scattered forward from the tip of the ridge 50, and the drainer 50a at the tip of the ridge 50 causes the rainwater to reach the lower part 2b of the front plate. The wraparound is blocked. As described above, most of the rainwater is scattered forward by the protrusions 50, so that the amount of rainwater that drops from the drainage section 50a is small, and it is possible to reduce rain marks on the ground below the gutter. Even if rainwater falls on the lower portion 2b of the front plate, the drainage projections 7 prevent the rainwater from flowing around the bottom of the gutter. Therefore, also in this rain gutter, it is possible to prevent raindrops from dropping from the bottom surface of the rain gutter after the rain has stopped, or to prevent the rain gutter bottom surface from being soiled by leaving traces of rainwater flowing around.

EFFECTS OF THE INVENTION As is clear from the above description, the rain gutter of the present invention scatters rainwater that has fallen on the upper part of the front side plate forward from the tips of the ridges, and circulates the rainwater around the bottom of the gutter. Therefore, it is possible to prevent raindrops from falling from the bottom of the gutter after the rain has stopped, or to prevent the bottom of the gutter from becoming dirty due to traces of rainwater flowing around. And the rain gutter which formed the water receiving part receives rainwater which wraps around the lower surface of the convex part in the water receiving part and flows into the rain gutter,
It is possible to more reliably prevent rainwater from flowing around the bottom of the gutter, and furthermore, the gutter with a drain hole drilled in the water receiving part ensures the inflow of rainwater into the inside of the gutter, so that the water receiving part and the drainage part are drained. Since the holes are not clogged with dust, there is also an effect that the fear of rainwater overflowing from the water receiving portion and falling is eliminated.
