悪く、接着剤塗布装置や、接着剤管理、塗布量管理等、
管理項目が増え、装置コストもかかるという課題があっ
た。 【解決手段】 耐熱性断熱材9上に設けられた金属8と
この金属8の上に設けられ、LD光が50%以上透過す
る材料である樹脂7とを透明な無機質材料15にて加圧
し、発光波長が1ミクロン以下のLD素子からなるLD
バーアレイ光をラインコリメートして、このラインコリ
メートしたLDビームを無機質材料15、樹脂7を介し
て金属8上に照射する。

【発明の詳細な説明】

【発明の属する技術分野】本発明はLDレーザ光を用い
て、接着剤なしにて、金属と樹脂とを接合する方法及び
装置、制振鋼板の製造方法に関するものである。

【従来の技術】図3に、従来の板状の金属8と板状の樹
脂7とを接合するための接合方法を示す。
【0003】一般に、金属8に接着剤16を塗布し、樹
脂7を押し当てて、接着剤が硬化するまで待つという方
法がとられている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】しかしながら、接着剤
を使用するには、接着剤塗布装置や、接着剤管理、塗布
量管理等、管理項目が増え、装置コストもかかるという
課題があった。
【0005】また、何よりも接着剤が必要であるし、接
着剤の硬化時間に数分以上かかるため、生産性が悪かっ
た。そこで、接着剤レスの金属と樹脂との接合方法が懇
願されていた。

て金属に接合する場合、ヒータを用いて金属を加熱する
と、樹脂はその熱膨張係数が金属よりはるかに大きいた
め、樹脂にしわが発生するという、樹脂たるみ現象を発
生して、接合できなかった。
【0007】本発明は、上記従来のような問題点を解消
し、接着剤レスでしかも、樹脂たるみ現象が生じなく、
高品質かつ高強度で安定した連続接合を可能とする方法
及び装置を提供するものである。
【0008】
【課題を解決するための手段】この目的を達成するため
に本発明は、耐熱性断熱材上に設けられた金属とこの金
属の上に設けられ、LD光が50%以上透過する材料で
ある樹脂とを透明な無機質材料にて加圧し、発光波長が
1ミクロン以下のLD素子からなるLDバーアレイ光を
ラインコリメートして、このラインコリメートしたLD
ビームを前記無機質材料、前記樹脂を介して前記金属上
に照射するものである。
【0009】
【発明の実施の形態】本発明の実施の形態に係る金属と
樹脂との接合方法および装置について、以下、具体的に
説明する。
【0010】図1に、本発明の第1の実施の形態に係る
金属と樹脂との接合装置の正面図と側面図を示す。
【0011】LDヘッド1は、波長810nm、定格5
0w、1cm×1ミクロンの発光面を有するLDバーア
レイ2と、このLDバーアレイ2から出射するLDバー
アレイ光3を、ラインコリメートされた均質なライン状
のLD光5にするシリンドリカルレンズ4を有してい
る。そして、LDヘッド1の駆動は、LD電源6の電流
調整により、所定のLD出力を得ている。
【0012】無機質材料である無色透明なガラス板15
により加圧された乳白色のポロン系樹脂7表面に、PE
Tフィルムをはりつけたものを、耐熱性断熱材9の上に
配置されたシート状の金属8面に置く。LD光5は、ガ
ラス板15と樹脂7を通過して、シート状の金属8表面
で吸収され、高出力であるため、瞬時に数百℃に局所的
に発熱し、樹脂7全体に熱が伝わる前に、PET表面の
みが熱溶融して、金属8に接合される。
【0013】これにより、樹脂たるみ現象を起こすこと
なく、金属と樹脂とを接合することが可能となる。
【0014】なお、金属8表面は油などの溶剤がなく、
表面がすり面ないし、表面粗さが高い場合、樹脂が粗さ
面に絡みこみ、接合強度が増すのは自明である。
【0015】また、樹脂色はLD光がほとんど透過する
乳白色としたが、他の白色系樹脂でもよく、LD光が5
0%以上透過する樹脂であれば、同様の効果が得られ
る。そして、PETは必ずしも必要ではないが、樹脂よ
りも融点の低いものを使用すれば接合しやすい。さら
に、金属は、大きな種類の制約はないが、ステンレスや
鉄系の白色金属の方が、LDの光を約50%吸収するの
で好適である。
【0016】そして、樹脂表面でレーザ光を吸収させな
いようにするため、発光波長を1ミクロン以下としてい
る。
【0017】図2に、本発明の第2の実施の形態に係る
金属と樹脂との接合装置の正面図を示す。
【0018】第1の実施の形態との最大の違いは、金属
8をフープ状にし、0.1mm〜2mm厚程度の乳白色
の樹脂7をテープにして、樹脂シート11としてロ−ラ
巻きし、透明円筒形ロッドレンズ10を、ローラ兼ライ
ン集光レンズとして作用させ、樹脂7と金属8を接合す
ることにある。
【0019】すなわち、耐熱性断熱材9上に金属8と樹
脂7とを重ねて設置し、ロッドレンズ10を樹脂7に押
付けて加圧する。
【0020】なお、耐熱性断熱材9はアシスト加熱とし
てセラミックヒータを使うと、さらに短時間で接合で
き、好適である。また、ロ−ラ巻きしている樹脂シート
11として、制振材に使用されているポロンを用いるこ
とにより、制振材を連続生産できる。すなわち、制振鋼
板を製造することが可能となる。
【0021】これにより、金属と樹脂とを連続的に接合
できるという効果が得られる。
【0022】なお、ロッドレンズ10の汚れクリーニン
グとして、クリーンペーパ13を加圧ロータ14で押さ
えながら、クリーニングしても良い。

【発明の効果】以上のように本発明によれば、耐熱性断
熱材上に設けられた金属とこの金属の上に設けられ、L
D光が50%以上透過する材料である樹脂とを透明な無
機質材料にて加圧し、発光波長が1ミクロン以下のLD
素子からなるLDバーアレイ光をラインコリメートし
て、このラインコリメートしたLDビームを前記無機質
材料、前記樹脂を介して前記金属上に照射するもので、
金属と樹脂とを接着材レスで高品質に接合することがで
きるという有利な効果が得られる。

Claims (6)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項1】 耐熱性断熱材上に設けられた金属とこの
    金属の上に設けられた樹脂とを透明な無機質材料にて加
    圧する工程と、発光波長が1ミクロン以下のLD素子か
    らなるLDバーアレイ光をラインコリメートする工程
    と、このラインコリメートしたLDビームを前記無機質
    材料、前記樹脂を介して前記金属上に照射する工程とを
    有し、前記樹脂は前記LD光が50%以上透過する材料
    であることを特徴とする金属と樹脂との接合方法。
  2. 【請求項2】 金属と樹脂との間に、この樹脂より融点
    の低い材料を設けたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の
    金属と樹脂との接合方法。
  3. 【請求項3】 請求項1、2のいずれかに記載の方法で
    金属フープ材と制振用の樹脂シートテープとを接合した
    ことを特徴とする制振鋼板の製造方法。
  4. 【請求項4】 接合する金属と樹脂とを搭載する耐熱性
    断熱材と、発光波長が1ミクロン以下のLD素子からな
    るLDバーアレイと、このLDバーアレイから出射する
    レーザビームをラインコリメートして前記金属上に照射
    するシリンドリカルレンズと、前記レーザビームを透過
    し、前記金属と前記樹脂とを加圧する無機質材料とを有
    したことを特徴とする金属と樹脂との接合装置。
  5. 【請求項5】 無機質材料がローラ形状であることを特
    徴とする請求項4に記載の金属と樹脂との接合装置。
  6. 【請求項6】 無機質材料をクリーニングする手段を設
    けたことを特徴とする請求項5に記載の金属と樹脂との
    接合装置。
