Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily and definitely removing an old paint film or coat before working of repair painting on steel structures or the like. SOLUTION: A mobile carriage 10 movable along the surface of a steel structure 50 is provided with a high-frequency heating coil 5 as heating means. Removing means comprising an air motor 18 and a grinding brush 7 driven by the motor 18 is provided in the rearward of the coil 5 in the carriage 10. There is provided a recovery bag 35 where a bag 37 is detachably attached to a recovery inlet 36 energized on the surface of the structure 50 by a spring 39 in the rearward of the brush 7 in the carriage 10. A paint film softened by heating is exfoliated by the brush 7 and is recovered by allowing it to naturally drop into a recovery bag 35, by allowing the carriage 10 to move while applying a current to the coil 5 to heat the surface of the structure 50.

2. Description of the Related Art For example, a coating film applied to the surface of a steel structure such as a chimney deteriorates during long-term use and causes peeling or cracking. Therefore, in the repair coating, the old coating layer is removed and the base treatment is performed. Conventionally, as a method for removing a coating film or a coating film on the surface of a steel structure, a sand blast treatment method in which an abrasive such as sand (sand) or shot (steel slab) is sprayed is generally performed. As an alternative method, an ice blast treatment method has recently been developed in which dry ice particles are sprayed onto a target surface at high speed through compressed air to clean the coating or peel the coating.

However, the sandblasting method in which the abrasive is sprayed causes the sprayed abrasive to scatter around and causes a deterioration of the working environment, and is often used as a measure for preventing scattering of the abrasive and for collecting it. There was a problem that time and cost were spent. Further, the ice blasting method has the merit that since the dry ice particles as the jetting material sublime after being used, the environment is not deteriorated even if it scatters in the surroundings, and the post-treatment is not necessary, but On the other hand, since the hardness of dry ice particles is low, there is a drawback that the processing capacity is remarkably low as compared with the sandblasting method. Moreover, when the coating film layer is peeled off, a large amount of coating film dust is generated, so that there is a problem that a large-scale recovery device is required to perform the above work.
