Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.(a)コーティング材をマトリクス材と組み合わせてターゲットを形成する ステップであり、このマトリクス材が、コーティング材よりも強い揮発性となる 特性と、真空中でコーティング材よりも基板に吸着しにくい特性とを有し、また 、該マトリクス材は、上記ターゲットがレーザーエネルギー源に曝された際に、 マトリクス材がターゲットから除去されることによって、コーティング材をター ゲットの表面から遊離させる特性を有するように選択されているステップと、 (b)上記ターゲットをレーザーエネルギー源に曝して、マトリクス材をター ゲットから除去してコーティング材をターゲットの表面から遊離させるステップ であり、該ターゲットと基板とが、遊離されたコーティング材が該基板上に膜と して堆積するように相対的に向きを合わせているステップとを含む、 基板上にコーティング材の膜を形成する方法。 2.上記コーティング材がポリマーである、請求項1に記載の方法。 3.上記基板が、上記ポリマーのガラス転移温度または融点よりも高い温度にま で加熱される、請求項2に記載の方法。 4.上記コーティング材が、吸着性化学選択的または生物選択的素材である、請 求項1に記載の方法。 5.上記吸着性化学選択的素材が、次からなるグループから選択される、請求項 4に記載の方法。 6.上記マトリクス材が溶媒であり、かつ、コーティング材をマトリクス材と組 み合わせてターゲットを形成するステップが、コーティング材を該溶媒に溶解さ せて、該溶液を凍結させるステップを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 7.上記溶媒がアリル溶媒である、請求項6に記載の方法。 8.上記コーティング材がポリ(オキシ{メチル[4−ヒドロキシ−4,4,ビ ス(トリフルオロメチル)ブト−1−エン−1−イル]シリレン})であり、マ トリックス材がt−ブタノールである、請求項6に記載の方法。 9.上記コーティング材がポリ(4−ビニルヘキサフルオロクミルアルコール) であり、マトリクス材がアセトフェノンである、請求項6に記載の方法。 10.コーティング材とマトリクス材とを組み合わせるステップが、コーティン グ材とマトリクス材とを混合して、マトリクス材中でコロイド状または微粒子状 となっているコーティング材の懸濁液を形成することによる達成される、請求項 1に記載の方法。 11.上記マトリクス材が、水、芳香族化合物、アルコール、およびアルカンか らなるグループから選択される、請求項10に記載の方法。 12.上記マトリクス材が、ゼオライト、エアロゲル、シリカライト、多孔質カ ーボン、および粘土からなるグループから選択される、請求項10に記載の方法 。 13.上記レーザーエネルギー源がパルスレーザーである、請求項1に記載の方 法。 14.上記レーザーエネルギー源が、波長が248nmのKr−Fエキシマレー ザーである、請求項13に記載の方法。 15.上記膜が約1nmから約100μmの膜厚を有している、請求項1に記載 の方法。 16.上記基板の予め選択してある部分にのみ膜が堆積形成されるように、該基 板をマスキングするステップを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 17.上記基板が圧電材を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 18.上記基板が化学または生化学検知装置の構成部品である、請求項1に記載 の方法。 19.上記基板が音響波装置の構成部品である、請求項1に記載の方法。 20.異なったコーティング材を用いて、上記ステップ(a)および(b)を繰 り返し実施して、基板上に多層膜を生成する、請求項1に記載の方法。 21.(a)基板を供給するステップと、 (b)化学選択的または生物選択的素材からなる膜で該基板をコートするステ ップと、 (c)上記化学選択的または生物選択的素材からなる膜と検体との相互作用を 検知する手段を提供するステップとを含む化学検知装置の製造方法であり、 (i)化学選択的または生物選択的素材を含むターゲットを供給するサブステ ップと、 (ii)該ターゲットをレーザー光源に曝して該化学選択的または生物選択的 素材をターゲットの表面から除去するサブステップであり、このターゲットと基 板とが、除去された化学選択的または生物選択的素材が該基板上に膜として堆積 され、該膜が基板上の実体部分にわたって均一な膜厚を有するように、該ターゲ ットと基板とが相対的に向きを合わせているサブステップとによって、 化学選択的または生物選択的素材からなる膜で該基板をコートする上記ステッ プ(b)を実施する改良点を含んでいる、化学検知装置の製造方法。 22.上記化学検知装置が音響波装置である、請求項21に記載の方法。 23.上記膜が1nmから100μmの膜厚で堆積される、請求項21に記載の 方法。 24.上記膜が、1cm2の領域内にわたって±5%未満の膜厚の変化を有する 、請求項21に記載の方法。 25.化学選択的素材を含むターゲットを供給するサブステップ(i)が、該化 学選択的素材をマトリクス材と組み合わせることを含む、請求項21に記載の方 法。 26.約250MHzの初期周波数を有する表面音響波が、上記基板の表面を伝 達し、膜が堆積形成するにしたがって該周波数がシフトし、また、ターゲットを レーザー光源に曝して薄膜を該基板上に堆積形成するサブステップ(ii)が、 初期周波数の約0%から3%にシフトするまで実施される、請求項22に記載の 方法。 27.上記化学選択的素材が、ポリオレフィン、ポリハロゲン化オレフィン、ポ リハロゲン化エーテル、およびパーフルオロネイテッドポリマーからなるグルー プから選択される、請求項21に記載の方法。 28.上記化学選択的素材が、活性化カーボン、多孔質炭素質材、シリケート、 粘土、ゼオライトおよびエアロゲルからなるグループから選択される、請求項2 1に記載の方法。
