Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting structure having high workability, in mounting a temperature switch to a control object apparatus. SOLUTION: The temperature switch 1 having a metal container 2 is mounted to a mounting hole 11B, formed in a housing 11 of the control object apparatus. A fixing member 15 is inserted into the mounting hole from the outside of the temperature switch 1. The fixing member 15 is formed of a ring-like metal plate, and projecting parts 15B are formed in its circumferential part. After mounting the fixing member 15, tip parts of the projecting part 15B are used as return stoppers, and prevent the coming-off and floating of the temperature switch by frictional force, generated by contacting to an extended wall inside surface 13A of a substantial extension part of the mounting hole at a predetermined angle and by increase in the friction force generated by outward movement of the tips thereof. Thereby, the temperature switch can be fixed with a simple structure, as compared with the conventional types, and the mounting work of the fixing member is facilitated to increase work efficiency, so that production cost is reduced.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, a temperature switch having a thermally responsive plate disposed on the bottom surface of a cylindrical metal container has been used for protecting and controlling various devices. One method of using this temperature switch is to detect overheating of a refrigerant or a mechanical part by attaching it to a refrigerant compressor for a car air conditioner, for example. In this case, several mounting methods have been put to practical use, one of which is shown in FIGS. 6 and 7.

The adhesive 103 has sufficient strength to fix the temperature switch 110 once it has been cured, but it has to be hardened immediately after filling until it is hardened to a sufficient strength. It is necessary to temporarily fix the temperature switch to a predetermined position so that the temperature switch does not deviate from a predetermined position or rise from the bottom surface. Therefore, conventionally, the temperature switch 110 is pressed down by an elastic body 105 fixed to the housing 102 of the compressor with a screw 104 such as a leaf spring. However, this fixing method has a problem that workability is poor. When a snap ring is used as this fixing means, the number of parts is reduced, but a special tool such as a snap ring plier is required to insert the ring while reducing the diameter of the ring. The workability is still not sufficient because the work is performed in a narrow gap, and a simpler and more reliable mounting structure has been demanded in order to improve the workability.

The mounting portion of the temperature switch to the refrigerant compressor has a mounting hole 1 provided on the outer wall surface of the high-pressure side refrigerant passage 11A and having a bottom surface which does not penetrate and which is almost in contact with the bottom surface of the switch.
1B, the temperature switch 1 has the bottom surface of the main body container almost in close contact with the bottom surface of the mounting hole 11B for temperature detection, and the bottom surface of the mounting hole is filled with a silicon-based adhesive 12 as a filler. The adhesive 12 fixes the temperature switch 1 so that it does not fall off due to the tensile force applied in normal handling, and by selecting a material having good heat conductivity, the switch mounting portion of the housing 11 and the temperature switch 1 By filling a small gap remaining between the container 2 and particularly when the switch bottom surface and the mounting hole bottom surface are brought into close contact with each other, the thermal conductivity is improved and the responsiveness of the temperature switch is improved.

A wall-shaped extension wall 13 is provided around the outer periphery of the opening 1B so as to surround the opening. The inside of the extension wall 13 forms a cylindrical inner peripheral surface 13 </ b> A substantially extending the inner surface of the mounting hole, and a part of the extension wall 13 is cut out to pass the lead wire 3. The height of the extension wall 13 is sufficiently higher than the upper end surface of the cover 4 when the temperature switch 1 is mounted.

A metal fixing member 15 is inserted inside the extension wall 13 to fix the temperature switch 1 so as to be pressed. The fixing member 15 is, for example, a leaf spring made of metal.

Further, a plurality of claw-shaped projecting contact portions 15B extending outward are provided on the outer peripheral portion of the fixing member 15 at equal intervals. The projecting contact portion 15B is bent in a direction opposite to the direction in which the temperature switch 1 is inserted so that the distal end portion contacts the inner peripheral surface of the mounting hole at a predetermined angle. The circle connecting the parts is the inner peripheral surface 13 of the extension wall 13
It extends outside the inner circumference of A. Therefore, when attaching the fixing member, the tip of the projecting contact portion is bent in a direction to escape from the inner peripheral surface of the extension wall and can be inserted with a relatively weak force, and a force in the opposite direction is applied after insertion once The tip of the abutting portion is detented, and the temperature switch comes off due to the frictional force due to the so-called biting etc. that works by contacting the inner peripheral surface at a predetermined angle and the force that the tip further tries to spread outward. Can be prevented. In this embodiment, one of the protruding portions is located at the notched portion of the extension wall. However, even in this state, the thickness of the fixing member and the protrusion are set so that the fixing member can obtain a sufficient fixing force. The contact angle of the contact part is selected.

The fixing member may be made of, for example, a triangular or quadrangular metal plate, and may have a configuration in which a corner portion is brought into contact with the inner peripheral surface of the mounting hole as a projecting contact portion. It is difficult to apply force to press. Therefore, by providing an opening at the center and making the whole ring-shaped, the whole becomes pliable and it becomes easy to apply a pressing force to the temperature switch. Further, by providing an opening in the center of the fixing member 15 as in this embodiment, it can be used also for a temperature switch in which the lead wire protrudes from above. For example, in the above-described embodiment, the temperature switch 1 is described as an example in which the lead wire is drawn out from the side of the cover 4, but instead of this temperature switch, the lead wire 3 of the temperature switch is not drawn from the side of the cover but from above. By using the drawn-out member so as to pass through the opening 15A of the fixing member 15, the notch provided in the extension wall 13 of the housing 11 in the embodiment becomes unnecessary.

In the embodiment, an opening 15 of the fixing member 15 is provided.
Although the peripheral portion 15C of A has a cylindrical structure rising in the same direction as the projecting contact portion 15B, the entire fixing member may be floated from the temperature switch by reversing the rising direction of the cylindrical portion. For example, in the case of the embodiment, since there is a sufficient gap between the temperature switch 1 and the inner peripheral surface 13A, even if one surface of the fixing member 15 is directly contacted with the temperature switch, the temperature switch is bent at the gap. Can be applied a sufficient pressing force. However, when the outer shape of the temperature switch is substantially equal to the inner diameters of the mounting hole and the extension wall, such a gap is eliminated, and the shape like the fixing member 15 shown in the embodiment can be bent to press the temperature switch. It becomes only the part of the abutting part. Therefore, as shown in FIG.
Is raised in the direction opposite to the rising direction of the protruding contact portion 25B so that the fixing member 25 does not come into close contact with the temperature switch 1 and can be flexed as a whole.
The pressing force can be continuously applied to the temperature switch.

Further, when a higher fixing force is required for the fixing member as compared with the above-mentioned case, the rigidity of the fixing plate may be increased, or a step or groove may be provided on the inner peripheral surface of the mounting hole to form the projecting contact portion. By increasing the substantial contact angle between the tip and the inner peripheral surface, the frictional force in the pull-out direction can be further increased. In this case, as the filler, for example, a filler that does not cure in a gel state selected on the basis of good thermal conductivity or a slightly weaker strength even when cured can be used in addition to the adhesive. .

Further, the extension wall provided on the housing is required to have a depth enough to mount the fixing member at the mounting position of the temperature switch, and is provided to substantially extend the mounting hole. It is not always necessary to provide an extension wall as long as the mounting hole is sufficient and can be provided with a sufficient depth.
