Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elastic sterilizing, dust-collective, and deodorizing filter which is easy of mounting and removal on the body of an air conditioner and its replacement, and can be mounted in the suction port, keeping its adhesion, and whose opening can be changed freely to the suction port after mounting, and further where consideration is given to indoor decorativeness. SOLUTION: This is an elastic filter for the suction port of an air conditioner to bring about sterilization, dust collection, and deodorization, in which pull levers 5 and 6 are fixed to both ends in the elastic direction of filter cloth 4 of elastic material having at least a width W equivalent to that of the suction port 2 of the air conditioner body 1 and an elongation maximum length L sufficing to cover the above suction port 2, and those pull levers 5 and 6 are provided with attachment means 7 to the grooves, a louver, etc., in the suction port 2 or the blowout port 3 of the above air conditioner body 1.

2. Description of the Related Art Heretofore, regarding a wall-mounted type air conditioner, a fixed type dust collecting filter in which a suction port portion is covered with a double-sided adhesive tape has been widely used. However, this method impairs the appearance of the air conditioner itself, which was originally designed in consideration of interior decoration, and the mounting itself has poor adhesion to a suction port having a delicate curved surface, and the opening degree cannot be adjusted.
