[0003] The frame-shaped support member 104 in which the film-shaped member 105 is integrated, that is, a so-called shell-shaped structure is formed by insert molding. As shown in, for example, Japanese Patent Publication No. 7-37049, this formation is performed by using a pair of clamp mechanisms 113 arranged so as to sandwich the mold 112 outside the mold 112 as shown in FIG. The shape member 105 is sandwiched and positioned between the molds 112. At this time, the tension applying mechanism 114 pulls the clamp mechanism 113 in a direction separating from the mold 112 (indicated by an arrow in the drawing) to apply necessary tension as the seat 103 to the membrane member 105. Then, the frame-shaped support member 104 and the film-shaped member 105 are integrated by closing each mold 112 and performing injection molding. Further, after the frame-shaped support member 104 has hardened, the frame-shaped support member 104 is removed from the mold 112, and the film-shaped member 105 protruding from the peripheral edge of the frame-shaped support member 104 is cut off. Thereby, the structure is completed.

However, in the above-described structure manufacturing method, since the film-like member 105 is exposed along the surface of the frame-like support member 104, the film-like member 1 is exposed.
A non-smooth fixing surface between the synthetic resin 05 and the synthetic resin appears, and the appearance is not good. In addition, the peripheral edge 116 after the protruding film-like member 105 has been cut off is easily peeled off along the surface as shown in FIG. 18, and if it is peeled off, the appearance becomes poor. Therefore, if this structure is directly attached to the frame of the chair, the appearance of the chair is impaired.

In order to achieve the above object, a first aspect of the present invention is to provide a frame-like support member made of a synthetic resin for holding a film-like member such as a mesh or a film or a fabric or a non-woven fabric and a peripheral edge thereof. In a method of manufacturing a structure that is assembled to a chair frame and functions as a chair seat or a backrest, a film-shaped member is used as a core material to insert-mold a frame-shaped support member. In a state where a tension is exerted on the member to exert a necessary elasticity as a structure, the film-shaped member makes no contact or point contact or line contact with a mold surface forming a mold cavity, and the peripheral side of the film-shaped member is It is installed so as to pass through the edge of the frame-shaped support member, and a synthetic resin is injected into the cavity of the mold and cured to form the frame-shaped support member and, at the same time, to be integrated with the film-shaped member to support the frame-shaped support member. So that cut membrane member protruding from the periphery of the timber.

[0007] Therefore, since the peripheral side of the film-like member passes through the edge of the frame-like support member, even if an unnecessary portion of the film-like member is trimmed, no trace of the trimming remains on the side surface of the structure. For this reason, the appearance of the structure can be improved.
In addition, since the film-like member does not come into surface contact with the mold surface in the cavity, it is possible to prevent the fixing surface between the frame-like support member and the film-like member from being exposed to the outside, thereby improving the appearance. Also, since it is possible to prevent the edge of the film-like member from which the protruding portion has been cut off from peeling off along the surface of the frame-like support member,
The appearance can be improved.

Further, the synthetic resin is injected into the cavities 6 of the molds 7 and 8 and cured, and the frame-shaped support member 3 is molded and simultaneously integrated with the film-shaped member 2. Then, the film-shaped member 2 protruding from the edge 3c of the frame-shaped support member 3 is cut off. Therefore, since the peripheral side portion 2a of the film-like member 2 passes through the edge 3c of the frame-like support member 3, even if an unnecessary portion of the film-like member 2 is trimmed, a trace of the trimming remains on the side surface of the structure 1. Therefore, the appearance of the structure 1 can be improved. Also, since the film-like member 2 does not make surface contact with the mold surface in the cavity 6,
The fixing surface between the frame-shaped support member 3 and the film-shaped member 2 can be prevented from being exposed to the outside, and the appearance can be improved. In addition, since the fixing surface of the film-like member 2 is hidden, the edge of the film-like member 2 obtained by cutting off the protruding portion is prevented from being peeled off along the surface as shown in FIG. 18 to improve the appearance. be able to.
