かなように、この発明のカーテンの襞位置割付の計算法
および該計算法に沿って自動的にカーテンの斜め縫い襞
形成ができる装置の発明により、カーテン生地の巾継と
襞基部の縫合位置を同じにしたカーテンが製造できるよ
うになった。作業者が複雑な計算をする必要がなくなり
作業は格段に省力化され、顧客の望む高級感のある斜め
縫い襞付きカーテンが得られることとなった。斜め縫い
襞の採用によって、襞間は天部が狭く、裾部が広くなり
台形が横に連なった状態になる。従って、天部の正面か
ら見たラインは緩い弧を描き、それがカーテンレールに
吊られることによって、各縫い襞の部分が上に持ち上げ
られる力が生じ、それによって各縫い襞から裾へ落ちる
ドレープライン(断面波形の形状)が床に対して垂直に
落ちるようなり、見栄えの良い仕上がりとなり、襞高
さ、襞間隔の揃ったカーテンとすることができる。ま
た、以上に説明した方法を採用することにより、襞の高
さを揃えて襞の谷深さdの変更で、生地によって発生す
る多少の縫いずれ等の寸法は吸収でき、精度良く、安定
したカーテンの製造が可能となった。
