さらには、原料の石灰質および珪酸質粉粒体を混合粉砕処理することが望ましい。混合粉砕処理によって、メカノケミカル反応が生起し、粉粒体中に非晶質珪酸カルシウム水和物（Ｃ−Ｓ−Ｈ）が生成される。この非晶質珪酸カルシウム水和物（Ｃ−Ｓ−Ｈ）は、結晶質珪酸カルシウム（トバモライトなど）と違って結晶構造が乱れているためエネルギー的に不安定である。したがって、水熱反応に対してＣａ2 +イオンが溶出され易くなり、結晶質珪酸カルシウム水和物に比べて速やかに結晶質珪酸カルシウム水和物が析出されるようになる。併せて、原料の混合粉砕処理によって、分子レベルの混合が十分なされるため石灰質原料の濃集された部分がなくなる。この作用により、反応時間が短縮できるばかりか、高強度の水熱硬化体を得ることが可能となるのである。 Further, it is desirable to mix and grind the calcareous and siliceous powders as raw materials.
