Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.連続送信方式をサブ・レート送信に利用するマルチ・レート通信システムに おいて送信レートを送信する方法であって、前記送信方式は、データを送信する ためにフレームを利用し、該フレームの各々が特定の送信レートで送信され、当 該方法は: 第1通信ユニットと第2通信ユニットとの間で送信される複数のフレームにつ いて送信レートを判定する段階;および 前記第1通信ユニットから前記第2通信ユニットに前記複数のフレームを、低 レート制御チャネルと共に送信する段階であって、前記低レート制御チャネルは 正常に通常送信されるチャネル上に変調され、前記複数のフレームの送信レート を示すために利用されるところの段階; から成ることを特徴とする方法。 2.前記低レート制御チャネルを送信する前記段階は、前記送信レートを、複数 の拡散コードの極性上に変調することによって、前記低レート制御チャネルを前 記第1通信ユニットから前記第2通信ユニットに送信する段階より成ることを特 徴とする請求項1記載の方法。 3.前記低レート制御チャネルを送信する段階は、前記送 信レートを複数の基準シンボル上に変調することによって、前記低レート制御チ ャネルを前記第1通信ユニットから前記第2通信ユニットに送信する段階より成 り、前記基準シンボルは、前記受信機の同期用に追加的に利用されることを特徴 とする請求項1記載の方法。 4.更に、前記低レート制御チャネルの送信を先送りし、特定のフレームの送信 レートを、直前のフレームの送信の間に送信する段階より成ることを特徴とする 請求項1記載の方法。 5.更に、サブ・レート送信が行われる場合に第1シンボルの送信を繰り返す段 階より成ることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。 6.前記繰り返す段階は、第1シンボルの送信を繰り返し、該繰り返されるシン ボルを、前記第1シンボルの送信の後に送信される次のシンボルとする段階より 成ることを特徴とする請求項5記載の方法。 7.連続送信方式をサブ・レート送信に利用するマルチ・レート通信システムに おいて送信レートを送信する装置であって、前記連続送信方式は、データを送信 するためにフレームを利用し、該フレームの各々を特定の送信レートで 送信するものであり、 入力としてのデータを有し、第1通信ユニットと第2通信ユニットとの間で送 信する複数のフレームの送信レートを出力するエンコーダ; 前記複数のフレームおよび前記送信レートを入力として有し、インターリーブ ・フレームの間に基準シンボルを分散させた複数のフレームを出力する瞬時トラ フィック・チャネル利得計算部であって、前記基準シンボルを変化させることに より、該基準シンボル上に追加的に前記送信レートを変調し、基準シンボルのシ ーケンスは前記送信レートを示すために利用されるところの瞬時トラフィック・ チャネル利得計算部;および 前記複数のフレームを、その上に変調された前記送信レートと共に入力として 有し、前記第1通信ユニットから前記第2通信ユニットに前記複数のフレームを 送信する送信機; から成ることを特徴とする装置。
