Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. 出口が隔壁により封止された、内側一次点火ガス流を入口から出口へ運ぶ 主燃料管と、 a)入口が主燃料管の出口の上流で主燃料管に作動的に接続され、出口が主燃 料管から半径方向外側に変位され、外側一次点火ガス流を主燃料管から半径方向 外側に且つその下流に向ける燃料流半径方向変位手段と、 b)少なくとも一部が主燃料管の出口の下流に位置し、内面と、入口と、出口 とを有する渦流燃焼管よりなる渦流燃焼器と、 c)主燃料管に結合され、少なくとも一部が主燃料管の出口の下流に位置し、 少なくとも一部が渦流燃焼管内に位置する点火器とよりなり、 外側一次点火ガス流が安定した点火炎を形成するための相対的に高い軸方向運 動量を有するガス点火装置。 2. 外側環状通路を画定する外側管をさらに含み、この外側管は、入口及び出 口を有し、少なくとも一部が主燃料管、燃料流半径方向変位手段、渦流燃焼器を 囲み、主燃料管と実質的に同心的に配置された、請求項1の点火装置。 3. 渦流燃焼管が、外側管の出口と作動的に接続されている、請求項2の点火 装置。 4. 燃料流半径方向変位手段がそれぞれ入口及び出口を有する複数の燃料マニ ホルド管よりなり、燃料マニホルド管の入口は、主燃料管の出口の上流で主燃料 管に作動的に接続され、また主燃料管の周りにほぼ等しい角度間隔で離隔され、 各燃料マニホルド管の各出口は主燃料管から半径方向外側に位置する、請求項1 の点火装置。 5. 燃料マニホルド管の出口が渦流燃焼管の内面に隣接する位置にある、請求 項4の点火装置。 6. 各燃料マニホルド管の出口が各燃料マニホルド管の入口の下流にある、請 求項4の点火装置。 7. 少なくとも1つの燃料マニホルド管の出口の少なくとも一部が、渦流燃焼 管内にある、請求項4の点火装置。 8. 少なくとも1つの燃料マニホルド管の出口の少なくとも一部が、渦流燃焼 管の出口の下流にある、請求項4の点火装置。 9. 主燃料管の出口隔壁が、内側一次点火ガス流が通過できる少なくとも1つ の開口を有する、請求項1の点火装置。 10. 点火器は、主燃料管内の電気導管と、電気スパークを発生する装置及び 電気抵抗加熱素子の1つとよりなる、請求項1の点火装置。 11. 渦流燃焼器が、渦流燃焼管の内面に結合された複数の渦流羽根よりなる 、請求項1の点火装置。 12. 渦流燃焼器と点火器のうちの少なくとも1つの一部が触媒物質で被覆さ れている、請求項1の点火装置。 13. 複数のマニホルド管が外径がほぼ0.25インチである6個の燃料マニ ホルド管よりなり、各燃料マニホルド管の出口が渦流燃焼器管の内面と渦流燃焼 管の入口の両方に隣接して設けられ、主燃料管の出口隔壁には直径が0.125 インチの4個の円形開口が形成されている、請求項4の点火装置。 14. 点火装置が複数環状室型燃焼器に一体化されている、請求項13の点火 装置。 15. 点火炎を形成する方法であって、 i)中心軸を有する点火装置を提供し、 ii)外側一次点火ガス流を点火装置の中心軸から半径方向外側に差し向け、 iii)点火炎を点火し、 iv)外側一次点火ガス流の相対的に高い軸方向運動量を維持するステップより なり、これにより安定した点火炎を形成する方法。 16. さらに、点火装置からの内側一次点火ガス流が、外側一次点火ガス流の 内側をほぼ同心的に流れるようにするステップを含む、請求項15の方法。 17. 点火装置からの二次点火ガス流が、外側一次点火ガス流内をほぼ同心的 に流れるようにするステップを含む、請求項15の方法。 18. 中心軸を有する点火装置を提供するステップはさらに、 a)出口が隔壁により封止された、一次点火ガス流を入口から出口へ運ぶ主燃 料管を提供し、 b)各入口が主燃料管の出口の上流で主燃料管に作動的に接続され、各出口が 主燃料管から半径方向外側に変位された複数の燃料マニホルド管を提供し、 c)主燃料管の出口の下流に少なくとも一部が位置し、内面、入口及び出口を 有する渦流燃焼管よりなる渦流燃焼器を提供し、 d)主燃料管に結合され、少なくとも一部が主燃料管の出口の下流に位置し、 少なくとも一部が渦流燃焼管内に位置する点火器を提供するステップよりなり、 外側一次点火ガス流を差し向けるステップはさらに、 i)一次点火ガス流が主燃料管を流れるようにし、 ii)外側一次点火ガス流が、主燃料管から少なくとも2つの燃料マニホルド 管の入口を介し、少なくとも1つの燃料マニホルド管を通って、少なくとも1つ の燃料マニホルド管の出口から流出するように差し向けることにより、外側一次 点火ガス流が点火装置の中心軸からほぼ同心的に半径方向外側に変位するように し、 iii)外側一次点火ガス流が、燃料マニホルド管の出口から渦流燃焼管の入口、 渦流燃焼管及び渦流燃焼管の出口を介して流れて点火装置から流出するようにす るステップよりなる請求項15の方法。 19. a)少なくとも1つの開口を有する主燃料管の出口隔壁を提供し、 b)内側一次点火ガス流が、主燃料管の出口隔壁の開口を介し、渦流燃焼管の 入口、渦流燃焼管及び渦流燃焼管の出口を介して外側一次点火ガス流内でほぼ同 心的に点火装置から流出するようにするステップをさらに含む請求項18の方法 。 20. 外側環状通路を画定し、入口及び出口を備え、主燃料管をほぼ取り囲み 、主燃料管及び各燃料マニホルド管をほぼ取り囲み、主燃料管と同心的である外 側管を提供し、二次点火ガス流が外側管の入口、外側環状通路、外側管の出口、 渦流燃焼管の入口、渦流燃焼管及び渦流燃焼器の出口を介して点火装置から流出 するようにするステップをさらに含む請求項18の方法。
