Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for adjusting stroke of the electrode in the welding machine which prevents deformation of works and protects the electrode from damage by adjusting stroke of the electrode. SOLUTION: In the device for adjusting stroke of the electrode 5 which is attached at the tip of the electrode holding member 4 connected with the moving contact arm 1 which is driven by a motor, there is set a spring 11 between the top of the moving contact arm and the electrode holding member; there is also set at the electrode holding member an acceleration sensor to detect the contact of the electrode with works by the change of acceleration of the electrode holding member, or a position sensor to detect the same by the change of position of the electrode holding member against the moving contact arm. Through the action of sensor to control the motor, forward movement of the moving contact arm is suppressed, and as well as through the action of the spring, forwarding power of the electrode is absorbed, thus the contact of the electrode with works can be alleviated.

[0010] The electrode strobe in the welding machine as described above.
In the work control device, an electrode 5 is provided on one side of a work (not shown).
When the electric motor is driven in the state where is located, the movable arm 1 advances toward the work, and the electrode 5 on the movable arm 1 side quickly approaches and contacts the work. The forward force of the electrode 5 is absorbed by the spring 11 by the contact of the electrode 5 with the work, and the advance of the electrode 5 and the electrode holding member 4 is interrupted. Is detected by the acceleration sensor 13 or the position sensor immediately as a change in the acceleration of the electrode holding member 4 or as a change in the position between the electrode holding member 4 and the movable arm 1. The driving by the electric motor is suppressed by the signal from the sensor 13 or the position sensor, and the advance of the movable arm 1 is suppressed, and as a result, the contact of the electrode 5 with the work is a soft touch. By adjusting the gap t between the movable arm 1 and the electrode holding member 4 by the adjusting nut 3, optimal control corresponding to the output of the electric motor can be performed.

According to the present invention, when the movable arm is advanced by driving the electric motor, the electrode comes into contact with the work, and at the same time, the advance force of the electrode is absorbed by the spring, and the acceleration sensor or the position sensor is immediately turned on. Operates to suppress the motor and the advance of the movable arm, so that the stroke amount of the electrode is controlled and the electrode comes into soft contact with the work. Thus, the deformation of the electrode can be prevented and the electrode can be prevented from being damaged.
