Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the jamming of the sent-back fed-out paper and the disordering of the fed-out recording paper, also reduce the cost and improve the reliability even in a minimized device by mounting a cover capable of acting as an opening and closing paper feeding-out tray in unloading a paper cassette, and mounting a stopper member on the cover for preventing the disordering of the recording paper. SOLUTION: The recording paper 1 loaded on a paper cassette 14 is fed out one by one by a paper supplying roller 6, and passed through between a capstan roller 8 and a pinch roller 9. Here, when a paper detecting sensor 13 detects a rear end of the recording paper 1, a thermal head 3 is downwardly rotated to be pressed to a platen roller, and the thermal transfer recording is executed onto the recording paper 1. Then the recording paper 1 is fed out onto a paper feeding-out port by a paper feeding-out roller 11, and stacked on a cover 15 of the paper cassette 14 acting as a paper feeding-out tray. Here, a stopper member 20 mounted on a rear end of the cover 15 can stop the recording paper 1 even though the recording paper 1 is apt to be pushed out by the trailing recording paper 1.

2. Description of the Related Art In recent years, in image printers, high-quality and high-quality recording has been pursued on special recording paper as seen in a thermal sublimation recording type video printer, and the size and cost of the apparatus have been reduced. Things to pursue have come to be seen. Hereinafter, a conventional image printer will be described with reference to the drawings. FIG. 5 shows a conventional image printer. FIG. 5 is a side view showing a schematic configuration of a conventional image printer. In FIG. 5, reference numeral 4 denotes an image printer apparatus main body, 1 denotes a sheet-like recording paper, 2 denotes an ink sheet obtained by applying ink to a thin band-like film, 3 denotes a thermal head, and 5 denotes a rotatable rubber roller. The ink sheet 2, the thermal head 3, and the platen roller 5 constitute a recording unit that performs recording on the recording paper 1. Reference numeral 8 denotes a capstan roller, and reference numeral 9 denotes a pinch roller, which is a paper conveying means for nipping and conveying the recording paper 1 after feeding. Reference numeral 14 denotes a recording paper cassette which is detachable from the apparatus main body 4 for loading the recording paper 1 at a predetermined position. Reference numeral 15 denotes a cover which is located above the recording paper cassette 14 and which can be rotated and opened and closed at the time of removal, and also serves as a paper discharge tray at the time of mounting. Reference numeral 16 denotes a paper push-up lever for lifting the recording paper 1 in the recording paper cassette 14, reference numeral 6 denotes a paper feed roller which is a rotatable rubber roller, and reference numeral 7 denotes one or more recording papers 1 pressed by the paper supply roller into one. It is a friction pad to handle,
The paper feed roller 6 and the friction pad 7 constitute paper feeding means. 1
Reference numeral 2 denotes a switching guide as switching means for switching the path of the recording paper 1, and reference numeral 13 denotes a paper detection sensor as paper detection means for detecting the recording paper 1. Reference numeral 17 denotes a paper discharge unit that is a space where the discharged recording paper 1 is discharged, 10 denotes a paper discharge roller that is a rotatable rubber roller, and 11 denotes a paper discharge guide member that winds the recording paper 1 around the paper discharge roller 10. The paper discharge roller 10 and the paper discharge guide member 11 constitute paper discharge means. The operation of the conventional image printer configured as described above will be described below. First, in FIG. 5, a recording paper cassette 14 in which a plurality of recording papers 1 are stacked is mounted on the apparatus main body 4 along a cassette guide portion (not shown) of the apparatus main body 4. At the time of paper feeding, the paper lifting lever 16 is raised to press the recording paper 1 against the paper feeding roller 6, and a plurality of recording papers 1 are conveyed by the rotation of the paper feeding roller 6. Here, since the friction pad 7 is pressed against the paper feed roller 6 immediately after the downstream side in the paper transport direction, only one sheet of recording paper 1 is separated and transported into the apparatus. One transported recording paper 1 is
The switching guide 12 pressed downward is lifted and passed, and reaches the paper detection sensor 13 where the paper edge is detected. When the paper has passed between the capstan roller 8 and the pinch roller 9, the paper feeding operation is completed. The recording paper 1 is conveyed in the direction A by the pressing and rotating of the stun roller 8 and the pinch roller 9. At this time, the thermal head 3 is retracted upward,
When the paper detection sensor 13 detects the end of the recording paper 1, the capstan roller 8 reverses, the thermal head 3 rotates downward and is pressed by the platen roller 5, and the thermal head 3 and the platen roller 5. Ink sheet 2
The thermal transfer recording is performed on the recording paper 1 by the recording section composed of. After passing through the switching guide 12, the recording paper 1
The paper is conveyed with the path switched in the direction F toward 7, and after the recording in the recording unit is completed, it is returned to the writing start position again. In the case of an image printer, since there are three to four colors of ink, the printing operation is performed three to four times, and when the printing is completely completed, the pressing of the capstan roller 8 and the pinch roller 9 is released, and thereafter, the paper is discharged. The recording paper 1 is discharged in the F direction toward the paper discharge unit 17 by the conveyance force generated by the recording paper 1 being wound around the paper discharge guide 11 by the rotation of the roller 10, and the lid of the recording paper cassette 14 also serving as a paper discharge tray. 15 are stacked.
