DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION Materials for the manufacture of transport containers The invention relates to lined transport and storage containers for the production of large-capacity transport and storage containers and for transport and storage of chemicals, especially high-purity liquid chemicals for the electronics industry. The use of polyethylene materials in the manufacture of The invention further relates to the use of these materials in the manufacture of the equipment required to discharge or fill the chemical from or into the shipping container. In many cases, the production of electronic components requires liquid chemicals subject to the most stringent purity standards. This is especially true for the production of large-scale integrated microchips. On the one hand, the purity of these chemicals is such that it is not enough to produce them to the required purity, so that no impurities enter the product during transport or during storage and handling It is also necessary to do so. On the other hand, the safety of storage and transport must be ensured, since the corrosive nature of some of these chemicals makes them difficult to handle and store. Often these chemicals also have toxicologically hazardous or dangerous chemical properties. Accidental spills or leaks caused by the corrosive nature of these chemicals, for example due to damage to shipping containers, must be eliminated with a high degree of certainty. Due to the above requirements for the chemicals to be transported, the choice of materials for such transport containers must be determined first and foremost by the elimination of impurities. Usually this requirement is satisfied by containers made of fluorinated or perfluorinated substances or containers lined with such materials. Depending on the requirements, these transport and storage containers are manufactured as pressureless or pressured containers. Unpressurized containers shall not be exposed to any externally applied internal pressure. Similarly, liquid chemicals must be discharged from such containers without pressure, ie with the aid of a pump. Since these pumps necessarily have moving parts, the possibility of impurity generation due to wear occurring in the pump area cannot be completely ruled out. However, it is known to discharge chemicals by introducing a pressurized inert gas through a dip tube so that no pump is required, especially when a pressure-resistant container is used, so that abrasion does not occur. German Patent 36 36 886 discloses a high-purity liquid chemical shipping container having a double-sheathed inner container, the innermost lining of which is made of fluorinated plastic. This shipping container in a multi-sheath design can therefore be pressurized. The disadvantage, however, is that, on the one hand, the only materials suitable for the production of such interior linings are special fluorinated plastics, which have to be produced in a laborious and therefore costly way; However, due to the high purity requirements of the transported chemicals, only a small amount of processing aids can be added to the plastic and the need to minimize contamination by tools and environmental factors. It is very difficult to process plastics. With regard to the choice of materials for the production of large-volume shipping containers, this polymer material is not only resistant to leaching and embrittlement that can be caused by the chemicals to be transported, but also has sufficient rigidity with some elasticity. As a result, containers made of this material should be insensitive to pressure and impact and stable and not prone to deformation or cracking. In addition, the properties of these materials must be durable so that both the purity of the transported chemicals and the properties of the container are preserved during long-term storage. Accordingly, one object of the present invention is to produce economically, obtain high purity through synthesis, contain only very low concentrations of polymerization catalyst, preferably without the addition of processing aids, or harmful to use. Materials suitable for the manufacture of high-purity liquid chemical transport containers and ancillary equipment that can be easily processed by adding only processing aids that have no effect or are not leached from the material by the transporting chemicals. It is to provide. Another object of the present invention is to provide a suitable polymer capable of producing both large-capacity storage and transport containers for high-purity liquid chemicals, as well as pressurizable linings for such containers. Is to provide the substance. The present invention provides, according to the invention, for the production of high-capacity liquid chemical storage and transport containers and their accessories for the electronics industry; and for the production of linings for such containers and accessories which can be pressurized, HD. Achieved by using polyethylene (HD = high density). This object is achieved, in particular specific gravity 0.940-0.97 0g / cm 3, is achieved in particular by using HD polyethylene 0.942-0.961g / cm 3. According to the current view, the only material suitable for containers used to transport high-purity acids or bases is fluorinated hydrocarbon-based plastics. Examples of such materials include polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), perfluoroalkoxy polymer (PFA), polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) or poly (ethylene / chlorotrifluoroethylene) (ECTFE). It is described in the general use of the well-known trademark "Teflon". It is obvious to those skilled in the art that plastics referred to as Teflon are not affected by corrosive chemicals such as strong acids or strong bases, and also by temperature. These plastics are expensive and uneconomical materials. Surprisingly, however, experiments have shown that non-fluorinated plastics can also be used in the manufacture of high-quality shipping containers for high-purity liquid chemicals for the electronics industry and their accessories; such as dip tubes, pump parts and hoses. Was. The selected HD polyethylene (high density polyethylene), that is, the specific gravity is 0.940-0. Polyethylene in the range of 970 g / cm < 3 >, especially 0.942-0.961 g / cm < 3 > has been found to be a particularly suitable material for the desired application. Furthermore, these polyethylene grades are clearly distinguished by analysis, in particular with a particularly low content of catalyst residues. Therefore, compared to other materials, these materials release very little ionic impurities when contacted with basic and acidic high purity chemicals. Also, when in contact with the chemical, relatively few particles are formed due to the interaction between the chemical and the material. This is particularly important with regard to the use of this material in the manufacture of equipment for filling containers and discharging chemicals. Surprisingly, these materials are suitable for both the manufacture of dip tubes as well as the pumps required to discharge high purity chemicals from pressureless shipping containers and transport them to a processing site. This is particularly alarming because another comparable polyethylene material, which has been used successfully for many years for transporting hazardous goods, is not suitable for transporting and storing high-purity liquid chemicals. there were. Upon testing, these plastics were found to release very large amounts of particles and unacceptable ionic impurities. The polyethylene material sold under the trade name Lupolen by BASF has been found to be a particularly suitable material for this purpose. In storage tests, the grades available under the trade names Lupolen 6021 D, Lupolen 5021 D, Lupolen 4261 AQ 149 and Lupolen 4261 AQ 135 proved to be particularly suitable from this group of polyethylene specifications. These materials are particularly suitable for use according to the invention, since they are extrudable but can also be welded without loss of quality. This offers the possibility of producing containers of almost any size by welding suitable slabs of this material. A woven fabric of fibers, fixed in the material on one of these slabs, makes it possible to make a relatively thin-walled inner container in advance. The use of glass fiber reinforced polyester bile makes it possible to produce containers that are stable in their own right and, if properly designed, comply with regulations governing pressure containers. These containers therefore have a structurally double sheath design. In particular, the structure consists of two sheaths joined together, the inner sheath consisting of HD polyethylene selected according to the invention and the outer sheath consisting of glass fiber reinforced polyester resin. The surface of the manufactured container may further be modified by methods known to those skilled in the art, such as, for example, painting, backing or dispersion coating with a suitable barrier polymer, or coating with a thin metal foil. Suitable barrier polymers for this purpose are polymers based on polyamides, polyesters, polyvinylidene difluoride or acrylonitrile. Permeability to gases, vapors and liquids can be reduced in this way. The values shown in the following table illustrate the invention in detail, but are not intended to limit the invention to the Lupolen polyethylene materials discussed above.
