コンポスト化できるホットメルト接着剤としての生物分解性ポリエステルアミ
ドの使用
本発明は、熱可塑加工できるポリエステルアミドをコンポスト(compostable)
化できるホットメルト接着剤、特にホットメルトフィルムとして使用することに
関し、上記ポリエステルアミドは30から70重量%の脂肪族エステルセグメン
トと70から30重量%(全量に対して)のアミドセグメントから構成されてい
る。
環境と共存出来る異種の材料の接着に、無溶媒の接着システムの使用が増えつ
つある。1995年の中頃に発効した新しい包装規制によれば、包装材料の80
%はリサイクルされなければならない。リサイクリングの大きな障害は、接着剤
の部分も含めて添加される異質の材料に在る。
立法者によって、材料のリサイクルの為、コンポスト化による処理が明白にオ
ーソライズされた(包装規制)。恐らくは包装材料の残部になるであろう材料を
含む個々の構成材料がコンポスト化できるならば(例えば、段ボール上に分解性
プラスチックでできたブリスター)、販売量の少ない複合包装の場合に特にこの
方法が提案される。有利なことには、この種の複合材は、接着剤システム、なか
んずくホットメルト接着剤システムを使用して組み立てられ、容易にコンポスト
化できる。本発明はこのような接着剤システムの技術的実用化の可能性を提示す
る。
上述のポリエステルアミドの生物分解性、コンポスト化性、製造については公
知である(EP-A 641 817)。ホットメルト接着剤としての使用は
開示されていない。
本発明は熱可塑加工できるポリエステルアミドをコンポスト化できるホットメ
ルト接着剤、特に例えば、パルプ、皮あるいは紙等の柔軟な部材を接着するため
のホットメルトフィルムとして使用することを提示し、ポリエステルアミドが3
0から70重量%の脂肪族エステルセグメントと70から30重量%(全量に対
して)のアミドセグメントからなることを特徴とする。
本発明によるコポリマーは10,000から300,000、好まし
マトグラフィーによりm−クレゾール中標準ポリスチレンに対して測定)を有す
る。それらは概ね75℃以上の融点を有している。
脂肪族ポリエステルアミドは、C2−C12、好ましくはC2−C6の鎖長を持つ
脂肪族ジアルコール、C2−C12、好ましくはC2−C6の鎖長を持つ脂肪族ジカ
ルボン酸あるいはそのエステル、C1−C12、好ましくはC4−C6の鎖長を持つ
ω−アミノカルボン酸、あるいはC5−C12、好ましくはC6−C11の環の大きさ
を持つ環状ラクタム、あるいは脂肪族ジカルボン酸とC4−C12、好ましくはC4
−C6の鎖長を持つ脂肪族ジアミンとの1:1の塩、および必要に応じて、0.
01から5重量%、好ましくは、0.01から2重量%の分岐剤を含む30から
70重量%の間のエステル部分を有し、脂肪族酸の一部はテレフタル酸、イソフ
タル酸あるいはナフタレンジカルボン酸等の芳香族酸で置き換えることができる
。
本発明の脂肪族あるいは部分的に芳香族のポリエステルアミドは、次の群から
のモノマーで構成される。
A) 例えば、エタノール、プロパンジオール、ブタンジオール、ヘキサンジオ

分岐アルコール及びそれに加えるに必要に応じて、例えば、1,2,4−プロパ
ントリオールあるいはトリメチロールプロパン等の少量の多官能性アルコールと
、例えば、コハク酸あるいはアジピン酸等の2官能性脂肪族酸及び/または必要
に応じて、例えば、テレフタル酸あるいはイソフタル酸あるいはナフタレンジカ
ルボン酸等の2官能性芳香族酸、及びそれに加えるに必要に応じて、例えば、ト
リメリット酸等の少量の多官能性酸、あるいは、
B) 例えば、ヒドロキシ酪酸あるいはヒドロキシ吉草酸あるいは乳酸あるいは
例えば、ε−カプロラクトンあるいはジラクチドなどの誘導体などの好ましくは
、酸及びアルコールの官能基を持つ単位。
あるいは、A及びBの混合物及び/またはコポリマー。
全ての酸に基づいて50重量%以下の割合を構成する芳香族酸。

脂肪族ポリエステルアミドは、脂肪族ジカルボン酸と脂肪族ジアミンの1:1

好ましい脂肪族ポリエステルアミドは、アミノカルボン酸構造単位として6−

ポリエステルアミドは0.1から5重量%、好ましくは0.1から1重量%の

本発明によりホットメルト接着剤として使用できるポリエステルアミドは、単
独あるいは上記の添加物と混合して、一般的充填剤を充填するが、コンポスト化
性が損なわれないように再度注意を払わなければならない。
実施例
