Abstract

PURPOSE: To degrade a specific aliphatic copolyester-amide easily and biologically, contacting with a (treated) lipase.
CONSTITUTION: A copolyester-amide consisting of (A) a number of ester blocks of a low molecular weight polyester preferably of the formula I (X is aliphatic ester residue derived from an aliphatic alcohol and an aliphatic carboxylic acid), and (B) a number of amide blocks of a low molecular weight aliphatic polyamide preferably of the formula II (Y is aliphatic amide residue derived from an aliphatic carboxylic acid and an aliphatic amine), is contacted with a (treated) lipase (e.g. crude lipase, etc.) and preferably together with a pH buffer, a surface active agent, a nylon oligomer decomposing enzyme, etc.
EFFECT: Useful for waste disposal.
