Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the abrasion of grinding and cutting tools by shaping a material obtained by slitting band steel with a predetermined width and having a condition of low working resistance before the quenching/tempering heating process, with small margin after the quenching/tempering heating process by the fabrication, and then executing the quenching/tempering heating process thereto. ろとなっている。エッジ加工機2は材料Wの搬送方向両
サイドに設置され、その一方がエッジ加工部3に、他方
がガイド部4に形成されている。エッジが付けられた材
料Wの一側縁の断面形状は図3のように、縁端にやや丸
く湾曲した面Waが形成され、該面のセンターから水平
に延びた延長線Xと両湾曲傾斜面とを結ぶ線Y1,Y2
の角度が所定の角度θa°(鋭角)となっている。

加工後の材料Wに対してプレス加工をする工程を従来と
同様に設けてもよい。刃付け研磨・曲げ折りされた材料
Wの一側縁の断面形状は図4のように、縁端が鋭く尖っ
た尖端Wbに形成され、その尖端から水平に延びた延長
線Xと両傾斜面とを結ぶ線Y3,Y4間の角度が所定の角
度θb°(鋭角)となっている。この角度θb°は角度
θa°より小さいか、或いはほぼ等しくなっている。前
記により製造の1サイクルが終了し、これにて図1(D)
の上段の図、すなわち図4に示すような断面形状の刃付
けされた刃物が得られる。
