Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pressure-sensitive bonding film for masking capable of preventing a treating liquid from penetrating into a masked part of a material to be treated when carrying out the surface treatment in an acid or an alkali solution and having good release properties without transfer and application of an adhesive to an adherend after the surface treatment. SOLUTION: This pressure-sensitive bonding film 1 for masking is obtained by forming at least two layers of pressure-sensitive adhesive layers 3 and 4 on a plastic film 2 having 6-250 μm thickness. In the bonding film 1, the pressure-sensitive adhesive layers 3 and 4 are composed of a pressure-sensitive adhesive comprising a crosslinked substance of an acrylic polymer having 150,000 to 2,000,000 weight-average molecular weight and the gel fraction of the pressure-sensitive adhesive may be 30-100%. The gel fraction means a value calculated as (W1/W0)×100 when the weight is W1 after dipping the pressure- sensitive adhesive having a weight of W0 in an aqueous solution of 1 N sodium hydroxide at normal temperature for 3 days, then taking out the dipped pressure-sensitive adhesive and drying the taken out pressure-sensitive adhesive.

2. Description of the Related Art When performing various surface treatments in an acid or alkali solution, a method of masking a non-treated portion with a pressure-sensitive adhesive film is known. The function of the pressure-sensitive adhesive film is to effectively prevent the treatment liquid from entering the mask portion by strong interaction between the surface of the adherend and the adhesive layer. After the surface treatment, the adhesive film is peeled off. At this time, the surface of the adherend after peeling off the film needs to be clean, and all the adhesive constituting the adhesive layer must be removed. However, in the conventional pressure-sensitive adhesive film, the adhesive may transfer to the adherend at the time of peeling.

The functional group-containing monomer not only contributes as a component for improving the activity and wettability to the surface of the adherend, but also acts as a crosslinking point to give good results in improving cohesion. Examples of such a monomer include acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, a monomer containing a carboxyl group or an acid anhydride group such as maleic anhydride; 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate, 2-hydroxypropyl acrylate,
Hydroxyl-containing monomers such as 2-hydroxyethyl vinyl ether; N, N-dimethylaminoethyl acrylate;

The amount of such a functional group-containing monomer is usually about 0.5 to 20 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the alkyl (meth) acrylate. If the amount of the functional group-containing monomer is too small, the activity and wettability with respect to the adherend become insufficient, or the crosslinking becomes insufficient, and the cohesive force tends to decrease. In addition, when the amount is excessive, the adhesive strength is reduced, and the polymerization reaction when producing an acrylic polymer becomes unstable.

The weight average molecular weight of the acrylic polymer is, for example, in the range of 150,000 to 2,000,000, and particularly preferably in the range of 200,000 to 1.5,000,000. If the molecular weight of the acrylic polymer is too low, the cohesive strength of the adhesive decreases, and the chemical resistance to acids and alkalis decreases,
The decomposition and elution of the adhesive tend to increase. On the other hand, if the molecular weight of the acrylic polymer is too high, the initial adhesive properties are deteriorated, and the workability tends to be reduced.

When the pressure-sensitive adhesive for masking containing such a component is used as a mask material, the pressure-sensitive adhesive is subjected to a crosslinking treatment by an appropriate method, so that the degree of crosslinking of a polymer component such as an acrylic polymer and the swelling property to water are improved. Can be adjusted appropriately. By setting the degree of cross-linking and swelling of each pressure-sensitive adhesive constituting the two or more pressure-sensitive adhesive layers in an appropriate range in consideration of the positional relationship of each layer, the masking property of the pressure-sensitive adhesive film is improved. Both releasability can be achieved.

For example, when a polymer having a high degree of cross-linking and a small swelling property is selected as the adhesive constituting the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer adjacent to the plastic film as the support, the adhesive layer is firmly adhered to the support. Therefore, when the adhesive film is peeled from the adherend, transfer of the adhesive layer to the adherend can be suppressed. In addition, when a polymer having a relatively low degree of cross-linking and a large swelling property is used as the adhesive constituting the outermost pressure-sensitive adhesive layer in contact with the adherend, the surface treatment occurs due to interaction with the adherend surface. It is possible to effectively prevent the processing liquid used for the infiltration into the mask portion.

The degree of cross-linking and swelling of the polymer component can be adjusted by appropriately selecting the type and proportion of the comonomer component constituting the polymer, the cross-linking treatment method (for example, the type and amount of cross-linking agent) and the like. .

The method of the crosslinking treatment is arbitrary and is not particularly limited. For example, in the pressure-sensitive adhesive, in advance, depending on the type of the functional group-containing monomer, an appropriate crosslinking agent, for example,
A polyfunctional isocyanate, a methylol compound, an acid catalyst, etc. are added, and when forming an adhesive film, after coating this on a plastic film as a support, or once coating on a separator, After the transfer onto the support, the substrate may be left standing at room temperature or under heating to perform a crosslinking treatment.

In the pressure-sensitive adhesive film for masking of the present invention, the gel fraction of the pressure-sensitive adhesive constituting the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is preferably, for example, in the range of about 30 to 100%, particularly preferably about 60 to 100%. Is preferable. This gel fraction correlates with the degree of crosslinking of the polymer component.
That is, the higher the degree of crosslinking of the polymer component, the higher the gel fraction.

The swelling degree of the pressure-sensitive adhesive constituting the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is preferably about 1 to 20 times. When the gel fraction and the degree of swelling are out of the above ranges,
The effect of improving the adhesion to the adherend is poor, and the sealing property is reduced, and the dissolution and elution of the adhesive are increased, and the processing liquid may be contaminated.

In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, as shown in FIG. 1, on a plastic film as a support,
A pressure-sensitive adhesive layer A composed of a pressure-sensitive adhesive having a swelling degree of 1 to 3 times, and a pressure-sensitive adhesive having a swelling degree of 4 to 20 times (preferably 4.5 to 15 times) Are provided in this order. The thickness of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer A is, for example, 1 to 100 μm, preferably 1.5 to 100 μm.
And the thickness of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer B is, for example, about 1 to 10 μm, and preferably about 1.5 to 7 μm. When such an adhesive film is used as a masking film for a non-processed portion in various surface treatments in an acid or alkali solution, the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer B can extremely effectively prevent the treatment liquid from entering the mask portion. When peeling off the adhesive film, by the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer A,
Transfer of the adhesive to the adherend can be significantly suppressed. The pressure-sensitive adhesive film for masking of the present invention can be used as a tape having an appropriate width.
