1. A synthetic resin vehicle assist grip including a grip body, a cap, and an integral hinge, wherein the grip body includes a grip portion and a vehicle body attachment portion extending at both ends of the grip portion. An end of the grip portion has an engaging portion, the vehicle body mounting portion is fixed to the vehicle body by a mounting bracket, and the cap has an engaging portion engageable with the grip body side engaging portion. The cap is configured to be in a closed state when the cap-side engaging portion is engaged with the grip body-side engaging portion to cover a head of the mounting bracket. A vehicle assist grip formed between the vehicle body mounting portion and the cap and rotatably holding the cap, wherein detachment preventing means is provided on the cap and the vehicle body mounting portion;
