SOLUTION: A cooling fan 6 is installed on an outer package of a liquid crystal projector main body or the like, to adopt forced air cooling for the inside of the liquid crystal projector. An air filter 1 is provided to the air suction port of the cooling fan 6 to prevent infiltration of dust. Electrodes 2, 3 are provided to the air filter 1 and a power supply 5 applies a voltage between the electrodes 2, 3 to charge the air filter 1 made of a synthetic resin cotton or the like so as to facilitate dust to adhere. Thus, rough meshes of the air filter may be sufficient for the purpose, and then the air is easily flowed in, and the cooling effect is improved. 【発明の実施の形態】以下に本発明の実施の形態につい
て、図を用いて説明する。図1は、本発明による液晶プ
ロジェクタの1実施例のエアフィルタ部分の(A)斜視
図、(B)分解斜視図である。液晶プロジェクタ本体
(図示せず)の筐体等に、冷却ファン6を設けて、液晶
プロジェクタの内部を強制空冷する。冷却ファン6の空
気の流入口には、エアフィルタ1を付設して塵埃の侵入
を防止する。エアフィルタ1には、電極2,3を設けて
電極2,3間に電源5から電圧を印可し、合成樹脂綿等
からなるエアフィルタ1を帯電させて、塵埃が付着しや
すいようにする。その結果防塵効果が向上するため、エ
アフィルタの目は粗くしてよく、空気が流入しやすくな
り冷却効果が上がる。なお、電極2,3は、網目状又は
格子状とすることで、空気の流れを妨げずに、エアフィ
ルタ1の全体に均一に電圧を印可することが可能とな
る。また、電極の一方の電極3の代わりに、導電材料で
作成した冷却ファン6を電極の一方として、構成を単純
にすることもできる。さらには、エアフィルタ1の例え
ば下の部分を導電性とし、電極2の代わりとすることも
できる。
