Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a woven fabric with new appearance by using inexpensive transparent yarns as warps. SOLUTION: This woven fabric is obtained by using, as warps 1, transparent slit yarns or flat transparent yarns consisting of polypropylene, polyester, polyethylene, nylon or the like, and, as wefts 2, colored yarns or dyeable filament yarns; wherein as the warps 1, transparent fine monofilaments consisting of polypropylene, polyester, polyethylene, nylon or the like may be used either singly or plurally in arrangement in parallel with one another; the transparent warps 1 are delustered, thereby the warps 1 are inconspicuous in this woven fabric.

According to the present invention, since an inexpensive transparent yarn is used for the warp, the appearance such as color and texture can be influenced by only the weft. In addition, the expression of materials, colors, etc. can be changed simply by changing the weft for the common warp. Further, by selecting the composition of the warp and the weft, when this woven fabric is printed, either the warp or the weft is not dyed and a checkered pattern can be formed in the pattern. In addition, since the entanglement point between the warp and the weft is planar, the surface of the woven fabric is smooth and the fluff is less fuzzy. The same effect can be obtained by using a single or a plurality of transparent thin monofilament yarns made of polypropylene, polyester, polyethylene, nylon or the like as the warp yarns. In addition, by using the above-mentioned transparent warp that has been subjected to a matting process, the warp is not conspicuous,
A woven fabric having a new appearance consisting only of weft yarns is obtained.
Of course, since the warp is woven, the tensile strength in the warp direction and the weft direction is the same as that of a normal woven fabric.
