Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a woven fabric with new appearance by using inexpensive transparent yarns as warps. SOLUTION: This woven fabric is obtained by using, as warps 1, transparent slit yarns or flat transparent yarns consisting of polypropylene, polyester, polyethylene, nylon or the like, and, as wefts 2, colored yarns or dyeable filament yarns; wherein as the warps 1, transparent fine monofilaments consisting of polypropylene, polyester, polyethylene, nylon or the like may be used either singly or plurally in arrangement in parallel with one another; the transparent warps 1 are delustered, thereby the warps 1 are inconspicuous in this woven fabric.
