Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charcoal kiln capable of producing charcoal of good quality by increasing the degree of sealing at the time of carbonization or producing charcoal having beautiful finishing and excellent function by utilizing the heat retaining properties of diatomaceous earth. SOLUTION: This charcoal kiln is constituted by a kiln body 1 of diatomaceous earth having a suction opening 113 and an exhaust vent 114, a shield 2 of diatomaceous earth to be disposed on an opening 111 of the kiln body, plugs 4 and 5 for blanking off the suction opening and the exhaust vent and a removable chimney 6. Thus, as the characteristic features of this charcoal kiln, charcoal of good quality can be produced by increasing the degree of sealing of the kiln at the time of carbonization or charcoal having beautiful finishing and excellent function can be produced by utilizing the heat retaining properties of the diatomaceous earth.

て土に混ぜれば、土壌も改良されて最も身近なエコロシ゛ー循
環となると考えられている。

口に栓をするとともに、煙突を取外し、排気口に栓をす
る(リ)。そして、さらに窯本体の密蔽度(密封度)を向上
させるために、開口部と遮蔽体との隙間に砂を充填する
(ヌ)。この窯本体の密蔽が炭化を製造する基本的作業で
あり、数時間をかけるとともに、窯本体の冷えるのを待
