そこで、上記課題を解決すべく、本発明では、支持体シート上の転写層として模様層を有する転写シートにおいて、模様層がバインダー樹脂としてウレタン樹脂を有し、該ウレタン樹脂はポリカーボネートジオールとイソシアネートからなるポリウレタン部分とアクリル部分とを有するポリウレタン−アクリルブロック共重合体であり、且つ数平均分子量が30,000以上で水酸基を含有しない樹脂である構成とする。この転写シートを、基材表面に、模様層、表面保護層がこの順に積層された化粧材の製造に使用し、表面保護層が(メタ)アクリル酸エステル化合物の架橋硬化物である場合、模様層のウレタン樹脂はアクリル部分を有し、且つ表面保護層もアクリル系樹脂となる為に表面保護層と模様層との密着も良く、耐熱水性、耐熱性、耐候性等の物性に優れる上、耐擦傷性等の表面物性にも優れた化粧材となる。なお、上記ウレタン樹脂を構成するポリウレタン−アクリルブロック共重合体を、そのポリウレタン部分に、ポリオールとしてポリカーボネートジオールを用い、またイソシアネートとして4,4′−メチレンビス(シクロヘキシルイソシアネート)、及びイソホロンジイソシアネートを用いた共重合体とすることによって、耐候性はより良好となる。

(3)なお、特に、転写圧に固体粒子衝突圧を用いる転写法を模様層形成等に採用すれば、大きな三次元的凹凸表面が装飾された化粧材が容易に得られる。もちろん、二次元的凹凸も可能で、平板状の板材以外にも瓦の様に全体として(包絡面形状が)波うち形状のもの、或いは凸又は凹に湾曲した形状のものでも容易に得られる。また、大柄な凹凸表面の凸部上、凹部内(底部や凸部と底部の連結部分である側面)も転写できる。また、大柄な凹凸の凸部上に、更に微細な凹凸(例えば梨地等)が有る場合でも、その微細凹凸の凹部内にまで、転写できる。また、従来のゴムローラ押圧方式の様に、基材の凹凸部によるローラ等部品の損耗も無い。従って、従来に無く極めて意匠性に優れた化粧材が得られる。
