Claims (3)

【特許請求の範囲】[Claims] 【請求項1】 複数本の針から選択される1本の針を縫
製位置に配置して刺繍縫いを行なわせる多針刺繍ミシン
に設けられ、該針が刺繍縫いを休止したときに該針に通
っている上糸を該針の下方から後方へはらい上げる上糸
はらい部材と、はらい上げられた該上糸が該針から後方
へ所定長だけ延びた所で該上糸の切断端部付近を保持す
る上糸保持具とを備えた休止上糸保持装置において、 刺繍枠に挟持されて起立した加工布の周縁部が前記針か
ら後方へ延びている前記上糸の後延部分を引っ掛けない
よう、該後延部分の直ぐ下方に位置して上糸を保護する
上糸保護部材を設けたことを特徴とする多針刺繍ミシン
の休止上糸保持装置。
1. A multi-needle embroidery sewing machine for performing embroidery sewing by arranging one needle selected from a plurality of needles at a sewing position. An upper thread retraction member that lifts a passing upper thread backward from below the needle, and a portion near the cut end of the upper thread where the lifted upper thread extends rearward from the needle by a predetermined length. A resting needle thread holding device provided with a needle thread holding tool for holding, so that a peripheral portion of the upright work cloth sandwiched by an embroidery frame does not catch a trailing portion of the needle thread extending rearward from the needle. An upper thread holding device for a multi-needle embroidery sewing machine, wherein an upper thread protecting member is provided immediately below the trailing portion to protect the upper thread.
