يتعلق الاختراع الحالي بمجال field معالجة الصورة image processing وطرق methodologies لازمة لتحديد نافذة تعقب الهدف target tracking window وتحديث حجم size النافذة window عند كل صورة جديدة image. ويعد الهدف من الاختراع الحالي توفير طريقة methodology لتحديد نافذة تعقب الهدف وتحديث حجم النافذة عند كل صورة جديدة، باستخدام نافذة الهدف المبدئية (المُقاسة) initial (estimated) target window والمرتكزة على قاعدة principle تغييرات قيمة الانحراف المعياري standard deviation value changes للنقط الضوئية pixels.
