Description
“DISPOSITIVO ASPIRATORE” "SUCTION DEVICE"
The present invention relates to a suction device. In particular, but not exclusively, the invention finds useful application in chemical laboratories and in all environments in which processes that produce polluting, toxic or poisonous gases are carried out.
Where possible, these processes are confined within suction devices which comprise a cabin equipped with a suction circuit. The cabin is equipped with an airtight door, which can assume a closed position in which the volume inside the cabin is totally isolated from the outside. The suction circuit sucks in the air inside the cabin and conveys it to special filtering devices and abatement of polluting, toxic or poisonous substances.
In the suction devices currently available, the air sucked in by the suction circuit is replaced by air coming from the environment outside the cabin, which flows inside the cabin through openings or ducts dedicated to this task.
This represents a significant drawback for currently available suction devices. In fact, since the intake air flow rate is considerable, generally between 900 and 1,500 m <3> / h, the exchange of air in the environment outside the cabin is consequently quite high. This air exchange involves considerable thermal dispersions and consequent energy costs for maintaining a constant temperature in the environment outside the suction cabin.
The object of the present invention is to offer a suction device which allows to overcome the drawbacks of the devices currently available.
An advantage of the suction device in question is that it does not substantially affect the environment in which it is located.
Another advantage of the suction device in question is that it can be replaced, with modest adaptation interventions, for the devices currently in use.
Ulteriori caratteristiche e vantaggi della presente invenzione meglio appariranno dalla descrizione dettagliata che segue di una forma di realizzazione dell’invenzione in oggetto, illustrata a titolo esemplificativo ma non limitativo nelle allegate figure in cui: Further features and advantages of the present invention will better appear from the detailed description that follows of an embodiment of the invention in question, illustrated by way of example but not of limitation in the attached figures in which:
− la figura 1 mostra una vista schematica in prospettiva del dispositivo aspiratore secondo la presente invenzione, con alcune parti rimosse per maggiore chiarezza di rappresentazione; Figure 1 shows a schematic perspective view of the suction device according to the present invention, with some parts removed for greater clarity of representation;
− la figura 2 mostra una seconda vista schematica in prospettiva del dispositivo aspiratore di figura 1; Figure 2 shows a second schematic perspective view of the suction device of Figure 1;
Figure 3 shows a detail of the suction device according to the present invention.
The suction device according to the present invention comprises a closed cabin (10). The cabin (10) is delimited by a plurality of boundary walls, including a bottom surface (12) and a hermetic closing door (11) which can assume an open position and a closed position. A side wall of the booth (10), facing in the foreground in Figure 1, has been removed to show the interior of the booth itself. A support frame, schematized only partially in figure 1, is designed to support the cabin (10) and allow it to rest on the ground.
The cabin (10) is designed to be placed in a delimited space (R), for example a room. With the definition "delimited space" we obviously do not want to exclude that the space (R) can be provided with doors and windows, but that the delimited space (R) is substantially separated from the external environment, as can be a room, for example a laboratory, inside a building.
The suction device comprises an extraction channel (4,5,41), designed to extract the air inside the cabin (10). The extraction channel (4,5,41) connects the inside of the cabin (10) with an environment outside the delimited space (R). For example, the suction duct (4,5,51) can be connected to an extraction unit equipped with special extraction fans, which convey the sucked air to a filtering and / or abatement unit of pollutants. This filter unit can be placed outside the delimited space (R). Note that the filtering unit could also be placed inside the delimited space (R), being in any case physically separated from it by means of a suitable container.
The suction device according to the present invention also comprises an inlet channel (2,3,21), designed to introduce air into the cabin. The intake duct (2,3,21) introduces air into the cabin (10) to reintegrate the air extracted through the intake duct (4,5,51). Advantageously, and unlike the currently available suction devices, the inlet channel (2,3,31) puts the inside of the cabin (10) in communication with an environment outside the delimited space (R). In this way, the operation of the suction device does not produce any substantial influence on the delimited space (R). For example, the suction device does not produce changes in the climate of the delimited space (R), in terms of humidity, temperature and air circulation. This allows a considerable energy saving for the air conditioning of the delimited space (R).
The inlet channel (2,3,21) is substantially arranged to be connected to an air source which is located outside the delimited space (R) in which the cabin (10) is located. For example, the inlet channel (2,3,21) can be provided with an inlet opening located in the open air. Appropriate filtering devices can be set up to purify the air before entering the cabin (10).
In a possible embodiment, illustrated in the figures, the inlet channel (2,3,21) comprises a lower interspace (2), arranged below a bottom plane (12) of the cabin (10). A plurality of openings (21) put the lower interspace (2) in communication with the interior of the cabin (10). This allows the air introduced into the cabin (10) to be evenly distributed. Preferably, the openings (21) touch the bottom surface (12) of the cabin (10) at the top, ie they are located at a small height above the bottom surface (12). This allows to further increase the uniformity of distribution of the air introduced into the cabin (10). Preferably the openings (21) are arranged along at least three sides of the bottom plane (12).
The inlet channel (2,3,21) also comprises a duct (3), connected to the lower interspace (2). The duct (3), in turn, can lead directly to the outside of the delimited space (R), or it can be connected to a further duct that flows outside the delimited space (R). In figure 1 the duct (3) has been interrupted for simplification purposes only. Furthermore, in the embodiment shown, the duct (3) is arranged outside the cabin (10), to avoid obstructions inside the cabin (10). This does not prevent the duct (3) from being arranged inside the cabin (10) in alternative embodiments. In the embodiment shown in Figure 1, the duct (3) comprises two distinct portions, connected in parallel to the lower interspace (2) with two distinct outlets. This allows to create a particularly uniform flow of air inside the lower interspace (2). The outlets of the duct (3) are preferably positioned on a wall of the cabin (10) on which the openings (21) are not arranged.
The extraction channel (4,5,41) comprises an upper interspace (4), located behind a side wall (13) of the cabin (10). Preferably, the upper interspace (4) is located in correspondence with the same wall on which the outlets of the duct (3) are located. A plurality of openings (41) are arranged through the side wall (13) to put the upper interspace (4) in communication with the interior of the cabin (10). These openings (41) are distributed uniformly on the side wall (13), so as to allow uniform suction of the air present inside the cabin (10). For example, the openings (41) are formed by elongated slits, oriented horizontally. The extraction channel (4,5,41) further comprises a conduit (5), placed in communication with the upper interspace (4). In the embodiment shown, the duct (5) is located above and outside the cabin (10). The duct (5) can lead directly to the outside of the delimited space (R), for example in the aforementioned extraction unit equipped with special extraction fans, which convey the sucked air to a filtering and / or abatement unit. polluting substances, or it can be connected to a further conduit (not shown) that flows outside the delimited space (R).
