CLAIMS 1. Furniture according to claim 1, characterized in that said each said male element protrudes from an external perimeter edge of the respective U-shaped element or from said first plate and has a dovetail shape and is made of wood in one piece with the respective said U-shaped element or with said first plate.

3. Furniture according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that at least one of said U-shaped elements is made in one piece.

4. Furniture according to claim 3, characterized in that each of said U-shaped elements is a monolithic element.

5. Furniture according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that at least one of said U-shaped elements is defined by a single plate-like body.

Furniture according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it further comprises at least a third movable U-shaped element facing and parallel to one of said fixed U-shaped elements and a pair of longitudinal members to define an extension of said frame; each said longitudinal member being coupled to said third movable U-shaped element by means of at least a respective second sliding interlocking coupling device; each said second interlocking coupling device being made entirely of wood and comprising a respective countersunk retention seat formed inside one between said longitudinal member and said third U-shaped mobile element and a respective integral male element to the other between said longitudinal member and said third U-shaped movable element and adapted to slidingly engage said flared retention seat to hold the respective said third movable U-shaped element and said longitudinal member against each other.

7. Furniture according to claim 6, characterized in that each said longitudinal member is coupled to said frame to be arranged in one or other of two extreme end-of-stroke positions, one of which is next to the respective said fixed U-shaped element and one deviated from the same fixed U element.

8. Furniture according to claim 7, characterized in that each said side member has at least one retention seat able to be engaged by a portion of said frame to keep the side member in a fixed position with respect to said frame.

Furniture according to claim 6, characterized in that each said longitudinal member is coupled to said fixed frame to slide axially in a continuous manner between two extreme end-of-stroke positions, one of which is next to the respective said fixed U-shaped element and one moved away from the same fixed U element.

Furniture according to any one of claims 7 to 9, characterized in that it comprises for each said pair of longitudinal members a respective second support plate and for each said longitudinal member at least a respective third sliding interlocking coupling device; each said third interlocking coupling device being made entirely of wood and comprising a respective countersunk retention seat formed inside the said second plate and a respective male element made in one piece with the said longitudinal member and able to slide the said flared retention seat for holding the respective said longitudinal member and the respective said second plate against each other.

11. Furniture according to claim 10, characterized in that it further comprises at least a third support plate resting on said fixed frame and / or on said longitudinal members in a coplanar position with said second plate.
