Description
Titolo: “sistema di protezione balistica attiva†.
La presente invenzione si riferisce ad un sistema di protezione balistica attiva.
In particolare, la presente invenzione si riferisce ad un sistema di protezione balistica attiva, anche chiamata corazza attiva utilizzabile per la protezione di veicoli blindati o per postazioni fisse che possono essere soggette ad attacchi con armi da fuoco.
La configurazione tipica di corazze reattive à ̈ costituita da stratificazioni frontali e posteriori che hanno lo scopo di contrapporsi meccanicamente alla minaccia e di una stratificazione intermedia che ha lo scopo di accelerare lo schermo più esterno. La caratterizzazione energetica della stratificazione intermedia può essere suddivisa in tre principali categorie.
In una prima categoria lo strato energetico à ̈ costituito da esplosivo; questa configurazione à ̈ la più efficiente corazza reattiva.
In una seconda categoria lo strato energetico intermedio à ̈ costituito da materiale energetico che non ha la capacità di detonare, tale categoria ha un’efficacia inferiore alla prima categoria.
Nella terza categoria lo strato intermedio à ̈ costituito da materiale non energetico che à ̈ in grado, sulla base delle sue caratteristiche chimicofisiche, di accelerare lo strato più esterno del sandwich reattivo, ma presenta inferiore efficienza rispetto alle altre.
La presente invenzione si propone di realizzare un sistema di protezione balistica attiva formato da almeno due strati metallici esterni tra i quali à ̈ inserito almeno uno strato reattivo che quando viene raggiunto da metallo o da altro materiale che penetra uno degli strati esterni reagisce aumentando il suo spessore nella direzione di avanzamento del materiale penetrante, aumentando in questo modo la capacità protettiva degli strati metallici esterni.
Il comportamento dello strato reattivo viene ottenuto tramite l’utilizzo di un di materiale detonante depotenziato.
Un aspetto della presente invenzione si riferisce ad un sistema di protezione balistica attiva avente le caratteristiche dell’allegata rivendicazione 1.
Ulteriori caratteristiche del pannello sono contenute nelle successive rivendicazioni dipendenti.
Ulteriori scopi e vantaggi della presente invenzione risulteranno chiari dalla descrizione che segue e dai disegni annessi, forniti a puro titolo di esempio esplicativo e non limitativo, in cui:
- la figura 1 rappresenta schematicamente in esploso un pannello del sistema di protezione balistica secondo la presente invenzione;
- la figura 2 illustra una forma di realizzazione del sistema secondo la presente invenzione provvisto di due pannelli paralleli tra loro ed inclinati rispetto alla direzione della minaccia.
Con riferimento alle citate figure il sistema secondo la presente invenzione può essere utilizzato come pannello di rinforzo e blindatura per veicoli o per postazioni fisse.
Il tipo di minaccia dalla quale il sistema protegge, à ̈ una minaccia portata da materiale che viene inviato ad alta velocità in direzione della postazione da proteggere. Normalmente si tratta di materiale metallico fuso o semi fuso costituito da proiettili lanciati da lanciarazzi o simili armi da fuoco,o getti di carica cava, generati da scoppi statici. Il sistema secondo la presente invenzione comprende almeno un pannello 1 formato da almeno due strati metallici esterni 2 e 3 tra i quali viene inserito uno strato di materiale energetico 4, ad esempio un materiale detonante depotenziato. Il materiale detonante depotenziato ha la caratteristica di “reagire†espandendosi, un volta che la minaccia, ad es. il proiettile, abbia perforato uno strato esterno.
I due strati metallici del sandwich sono costituiti preferibilmente da due lamiere di dimensioni laterali e spessore 2 mm.
Al fine di contenere il foglio di materiale energetico le due lamiere sono preferibilmente separate da una cornice 5 ad esempio di nylon lungo tutto il bordo. L’assieme à ̈ munito di fori passanti in modo da poterlo assemblare.
Un adatto materiale energetico secondo la presente invenzione à ̈ l’esplosivo PBX N109, quale materiale energetico base da cui ottenere il depotenziamento eliminando il contenuto di alluminio e diminuendo la percentuale di RDX rispetto ai leganti inerti, ad esempio poliuretanici. Una adatta percentuale di RDX à ̈ compresa tra il 30% ed il 50%, preferibilmente 40%. Nella figura 2 à ̈ illustrato un sistema comprendete due pannelli disposti paralleli tra loro separati tra loro per mezzo di un elemento distanziatore 6. I pannelli sono inclinati rispetto alla direzione della minaccia e sono disposti all’interno di un corpo scatolare metallico 7. Un adatto angolo di inclinazione dei pannelli à ̈ compreso tra 20° e 40°, preferibilmente 30°.
In modo equivalente possono essere utilizzati un numero differente di pannelli, con una disposizione geometrica differente, ed inoltre possono essere presenti ulteriori elementi passivi.
Claims (8)
- RIVENDICAZIONI 1. Sistema di protezione balistica attiva formato da almeno un pannello (1) comprendente almeno due strati metallici esterni (2,3) tra i quali viene inserito uno strato di materiale energetico (4) caratterizzato dal fatto che tale materiale energetico à ̈ ottenuto a partire da un materiale detonante depotenziato.
- 2. Sistema secondo la rivendicazione 1, in cui un adatto materiale energetico à ̈ l’esplosivo PBX N109, quale materiale energetico base da cui ottenere il depotenziamento.
- 3. Sistema secondo la rivendicazione 1, in cui il depotenziamento à ̈ ottenuto eliminando il contenuto di alluminio e diminuendo la percentuale di RDX rispetto ai leganti inerti.
- 4. Sistema secondo la rivendicazione 3, in cui una adatta percentuale di RDX Ã ̈ compresa tra il 30% ed il 50%, preferibilmente 40%.
- 5. Sistema secondo la rivendicazione 1, comprendente due pannelli (1) disposti paralleli tra loro separati tra loro per mezzo di un elemento distanziatore (6), detti pannelli essendo disposti inclinati rispetto alla direzione della minaccia.
- 6. Sistema secondo la rivendicazione 1, in cui un adatto angolo di inclinazione dei pannelli à ̈ compreso tra 20° e 40°, preferibilmente 30°.
- 7. Sistema secondo la rivendicazione 5, in cui i pannelli sono disposti all’interno di un corpo scatolare metallico (7).
- 8. Sistema secondo la rivendicazione 5, in cui tra i pannelli sono presenti ulteriori elementi passivi.
