Modular piece of furniture comprising separate modular parts (2a, 2b, 2c, 2d; 7, 8; 1, 1 ') consisting of two uprights (1, 1'), two platforms (7, 8) and four corner elements (2a, 2b, 2c, 2d), said platforms and uprights being made up of rectangular or square plates, and said angular elements <2a, 2b, 2c, 2d) having an L-shaped section with a vertical and a horizontal wall, characterized by the fact that each horizontal wall of an angular element (2a, 2b, 2c, 2d)? sliding insertable at its extremity? free, in the extremity? of a platform, and each extremity? free of a vertical wall of a corner element? sliding insertable in the end? of an upright (1, 1 '), and by the fact that guide means (20, 20'; 22, 22 '; 23, 23') are provided for two pins integral with a movable part that can be rotatably inserted into the frame (2a , 2b, 2c, 2d; 7, 8; 1, 1 ') of said modular element.

2. Modular piece of furniture according to claim 1, characterized in that said corner elements have fixing / locking means (42, 43, 44, 45; 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39) on their vertical and / or horizontal walls, which allow to laterally join and / or overlap different modular elements.

Modular piece of furniture according to claim 1 or 2, characterized by the fact that the platforms 7,8 and the uprights (1, 1 ') have two opposite U-shaped sides which are inserted in the ends? free (3a, 3b) of an angular element, said extremities? free (3a, 3b) having reduced thickness with respect to the thickness of the remaining sections (4a, 4b) which together with said ends? free (3a, 3b) form the angular element.
