Ad oggi sono note numerose protezioni per arti di cavalli, tra cui paratendini e paranocche, per proteggere il cavallo sportivo in particolare nella disciplina del salto ostacoli. Questo compito, nonché questi ed altri scopi che meglio appariranno in seguito, sono raggiunti da una protezione per arti di cavalli, del tipo paratendini e paranocche, comprendente un corpo sagomato di forma aperta e anatomica, da chiudere sull'arto del cavallo in corrispondenza del tendine flessore e del nodello mediante appositi mezzi di chiusura e provvisto di una imbottitura di rivestimento dal lato interno di contatto con l'arto del cavallo, detta protezione caratterizzandosi per il fatto di essere provvista di almeno una camera contenente almeno due fluidi di diverso colore e peso specifico e visibili almeno dall'esterno di detto corpo sagomato.
