Description
Descrizione in italiano Description in Italian
The invention relates to a condensate drain system generated by indoor hydronic air conditioning units.
The conventional condensate drainage systems for indoor hydronic air conditioning units are made by conductors connected directly to the sewer system. The condensate is disposed of in the internal or external sewer system by force of gravity or by means of condensate drain pumps.
This requires expansion of the internal or external sewer network which can be expensive and difficult to build.
The present invention aims to develop a new process for the disposal of condensate water from indoor hydronic air conditioning units.
The objective is achieved thanks to the characteristics of claim 1 and claim 2.
The dependent claims highlight some advantageous developments. The invention involves the elimination of the condensate drainage pipe of each individual indoor hydronic air conditioning unit and the consequent expansion of the internal and external sewer network.
L’esempio mostra: The invention is explained in detail through an example of implementation represented in the drawings. The example shows:
Fig. 1 : Assieme unità interna di climatizzazione e dispositivo di scarico condensa distribuito Fig. 1: Assembly of indoor air conditioning unit and distributed condensate drain device
Fig. 2: Dispositivo di scarico condensa distribuito Fig. 2: Distributed condensate drain device
Fig. 3: Dispositivo di scarico condensa centralizzato Fig. 3: Centralized condensate drain device
Fig. 1 shows an indoor air conditioning unit 1 installed on the wall connected to the distributed condensate drain device 2. The delivery duct 3 of the hydronic air conditioning system, the return duct 4, the duct condensate drain 5 which is connected to the distributed condensate drain device and the power supply 6.
During operation in the cooling phase, a flow of cold water flows in the indoor unit which enters via the delivery duct 3 and exits via the return duct 4. The ambient air is cooled by forced convection inside the unit , if this cooling lowers the air temperature below the dew point condensation is generated inside the unit, this condensate is disposed of through the condensate drain duct 5.
Fig. 2 instead shows the contents of the distributed condensate drain device 2. The return pipe 4 is connected to the ball shut-off valve 9, a check valve 10 and a three-way connection 11 are then inserted, the outlet of the return flow finally takes place through the duct 7.
The condensate drain pipe 5 is instead connected to a siphon 12, then a ball shut-off valve 13, a volumetric condensate drain pump with float 14, a check valve 15 and a ball shut-off valve 16 are placed. the drain circuit is then connected to the three-way fitting 11.
The volumetric pump, connected to the supply circuit 8, directs the condensate directly to the air conditioning distribution circuit through the three-way connection 11. The check valve 15 instead blocks the reverse flow from the distribution circuit to the pump, while the valve check valve 10 blocks the flow of condensate towards the return of the indoor unit.
In this way the condensate, if present, is accumulated in the distribution circuit in the hydronic air conditioning system, then through the centralized condensate drain device 17 the latter is then discharged into the sewer system.
When no condensate is generated, the pump is automatically deactivated, being equipped with an internal float shut-off contact, and the check valve 15 blocks the flow from the distribution circuit to the condensate drain pump 14.
The relative delivery pressure of the pump must be at least 137,340.00 Pa in very low flow conditions in the order of 0.000555 kg / s to allow the insertion of the condensate water in the return of the distribution circuit in which it is present a relative pressure of the order of 101,325.00 Pa.
Fig. 3 instead shows the contents of the centralized condensate discharge device 17 to be installed immediately upstream of the return duct of the hydronic air conditioning heat pump which can possibly be coupled to a condensing heat generator.
The pipe 18 represents the global return branch of the distribution circuit. The ball shut-off valve 21 is connected to the latter, the circuit proceeds with the non-return valve 22, the three-way connection 24 to which the pressure switch 23 and the three-way connection 25 are connected.
One outlet of the three-way fitting 25 is connected to the pipe 19 which in turn will direct the flow to the return of the heat pump or to the return of the condensing boiler, the other outlet of the three-way fitting 25 is connected to the shut-off 26 and to the two-way valve 27 with electromechanical opening by means of a solenoid fed through the cable 29. The output of the valve 27 is then connected to the condensate drain towards the internal sewer system 28.
The solenoid of the electromechanical valve is energized following the consent given by the pressure switch 23, transmitted via the conductor 29, only if the water pressure, detected by the pressure switch, is greater than the calibration pressure of the latter.
To allow regular operation of the condensate drain device, the opening pressure must be set at a value just below the maximum pressure of the condensate drain pump, therefore around values of 130,000.00 Pa.
By coupling a distributed drainage device 2 to each indoor hydronic air conditioning unit of the air conditioning system and using the centralized condensate drain device, it is possible to concentrate the condensate drain of all regrets in a single point close to the centralized condensate drain device.
