Description of the INDUSTRIAL INVENTION entitled:

â € œDevice for dispensing a liquid cosmetic product, including a container for mixing the cosmetic product with other substances before using itâ €

Field of application of the invention

The present invention relates to the cosmetics and personal hygiene sector.

In the remainder of this description, "cosmetic product" means a substance for cosmetic use, ie a substance used in cosmetic practices for hygienic and / or aesthetic purposes. Cosmetic products include, by way of example, cleansers, emollients, toners, eutrophicants, absorbent substances and covering substances.

In the remainder of this description, "liquid cosmetic product" means a liquid substance for cosmetic use, or a semi-liquid substance for cosmetic use (such as creams, ie substances in a liquid state but characterized by considerable density and consistency), or a semi-solid substance for cosmetic use (such as gels, ie substances in a liquid state but characterized by a greater density and consistency than a semi-liquid substance). Liquid cosmetic products include, by way of simplification, shampoos, soaps, conditioners, lotions, creams, gels, oils, perfumes and pastes.

Incidentally, in the remainder of this description, the word â € œ liquid cosmetic productâ € means to identify all the substances for cosmetic use of the aforementioned type.

More precisely, the present invention refers to a dispensing device for a liquid cosmetic product, comprising a container for containing the cosmetic product after its dispensing and before its use, or to allow the dispensed cosmetic product to be mixed with other substances ( such as water or another cosmetic product) before using it.

Review of the known art

Liquid cosmetic products are generally marketed packaged in special containers (i.e. containers intended exclusively for containing the cosmetic product) or in special dispensers (i.e. devices comprising both a container for containing the cosmetic product, and dispensing means that withdraw the cosmetic product from the container to emit it outside it, so as to allow its use by a user of the cosmetic product).

The containers of liquid cosmetic products are usually bottles or jars (depending on the consistency of the product) having an opening through which the user of the cosmetic product can withdraw the latter from the container, for example by overturning or pressing the bottle, or by inserting a hand in the jar. The opening can be closed by means of a cap that can be screwed to the container or hinged to it.

Dispensers of liquid cosmetic products generally comprise a bottle containing the cosmetic product and having an opening in correspondence with which a piston metering pump is connected to the bottle which picks up the cosmetic product from the bottle and emits it outside the bottle. Piston metering pumps generally comprise a movable spout placed outside the bottle and connected to a tube placed inside the bottle for the suction of the cosmetic product. Pressing the spout blows air into the bottle. This determines an increase in pressure inside the bottle as a result of which the cosmetic product is pushed into the suction tube so as to come out of the spout. The metering pump briefly described here is of a substantially known type, therefore we do not dwell on providing further details.

When a person needs to use a liquid cosmetic product, he generally deposits a desired amount on one hand. If the cosmetic product is applied to the head (such as a shampoo), when transporting the cosmetic product towards the head, the risk is that the cosmetic product accidentally falls from the hand. This results in a waste of the cosmetic product and consequently a waste of time and money.

In addition to this, it is sometimes necessary to mix a cosmetic product with other substances before using it. By way of example, some detergents are marketed in concentrations so high as to be aggressive for the skin and must necessarily be diluted with water before they can be used. The dilution with water before the use of a liquid cosmetic product can also be carried out in order to increase the volume of the cosmetic product so as to allow it to be used a greater number of times than the use of the undiluted cosmetic product, for the same quantity of product purchased. Some cosmetic products are deliberately marketed in concentrated formulas, for example in order to reduce transport costs. Said cosmetic products must therefore necessarily be diluted with water or mixed with other substances before they can be used.

To date, the above mixes are carried out in the same hand in which the cosmetic product is deposited, adding water or the other substance to be mixed. However, this operation is extremely inconvenient and does not allow to accurately evaluate the quantity of water or other substance that is added to the cosmetic product. Furthermore, similarly to what has been said above, accidental fall of the cosmetic product from the hand may occur before and / or during and / or after mixing, with a waste of the cosmetic product, and consequently of time and money.

Aims of the invention

The purpose of the present invention is to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks and to indicate a dispensing device that allows both to collect the dispensed cosmetic product in a practical and waste-free way before using it, and a practical and safe mixing of the dispensed cosmetic product. with other substances before using it.

Summary of the invention

The object of the present invention is a dispensing device of at least one first liquid cosmetic product, the dispensing device comprising:

â € ¢ a first container for containing the first cosmetic product;

â € ¢ first means of withdrawing the first cosmetic product from the first container and issuing the first cosmetic product outside the first container, thus determining its delivery;

â € ¢ first means of connection to the first container of the first means of withdrawal and emission;

wherein according to the invention the dispensing device comprises at least a second receptacle;

the first connection means being suitable for allowing the positioning of the first pick-up and delivery means so that said release of the first cosmetic product entails the introduction of the first cosmetic product into the second container;

the second container comprising at least one opening to allow both the introduction of at least one substance into the second container and the withdrawal from the second container of what is contained therein.

Further innovative features of the present invention are described in the dependent claims.

The cosmetic product is then introduced by the withdrawal and emission means into the second container and there it can be mixed with another substance (such as another cosmetic product or water) before using it. When the cosmetic product is ready for use, regardless of whether it has been mixed with other substances, the user: a) grasps the dispensing device (and therefore, with it, the second container); b) bring the dispensing device closer to the part of the body where he intends to use the cosmetic product;

c) applies the cosmetic product (mixed or not mixed) to said part of the body by making the contents of it come out of the second container through said opening.

Incidentally, if the part of the body in correspondence with which the cosmetic product is to be applied are the hands, the user, after having grasped the dispensing device with one hand, empties the contents of the second container on the other hand.

According to an aspect of the invention, said introduction of the first cosmetic product into the second container takes place through said opening.

According to another aspect of the invention, the first withdrawal and delivery means comprise a spout external to the first and second receptacles, the spout comprising a hole in correspondence with which said emission of the first cosmetic product takes place outside the first receptacle, first connection means being suitable for allowing the spout to be positioned so that the hole is vertically aligned with the opening, said introduction of the first cosmetic product into the second container taking place due to the effect of the weight force acting on the first dispensed cosmetic product.

Following dispensing, the cosmetic product therefore falls from the spout into the second receptacle through the opening.

According to another aspect of the invention, the first connection means comprise means for rotating the spout with respect to the opening.

Advantageously, after the cosmetic product has been introduced into the second container, it is advisable to rotate the spout so that its hole is not vertically aligned with the opening of the second container, that is, in order to move the hole away from the opening. Doing so does not run the risk that the cosmetic product intercepts the spout when it is taken from the second container. Alternatively, the spout is equipped with means which prevent the dispensing of the cosmetic product when the spout is rotated, with respect to the position in which the hole is vertically aligned with the opening, by an angle of greater amplitude than a predetermined angle.

Similarly, if you need to mix the cosmetic product with another substance before its use (for example if you need to dilute the cosmetic product with water), after having placed the cosmetic product in the second container, it is advisable to rotate the spout so as to move the hole away from the opening so that said substance does not intercept the spout when it is placed in the second container.

Finally, if on a certain occasion the user of the cosmetic product does not want it to be placed in the second container, it is possible to rotate the spout so as to move the hole away from the opening so that the cosmetic product, when dispensed, falls outside the second container, for example in a user's hand.

According to another aspect of the invention, the dispensing device comprises a support base, the second container comprising at least one wall in correspondence with which the opening is made, said wall being opposite, in correspondence with the opening, to the base d 'support.

Advantageously, the application of the contents of the second receptacle to the desired part of the body takes place simply by overturning the dispensing device (and with it the second receptacle). The release of the cosmetic product (mixed or not mixed) from the second container occurs due to the effect of the weight force acting on the cosmetic product.

According to another aspect of the invention, said wall comprises a face internal to the second container, said wall being flared at least in correspondence with the internal face and at least in the vicinity of the opening, the flare being with a transversal diameter decreasing towards the opening.

Advantageously, the flaring facilitates the exit from the second container of what is contained therein, hindering the deposit of residues of cosmetic product on the internal face of the wall, in the vicinity of the opening.

According to another aspect of the invention, the opening is circular and has a diameter preferably between 15 mm and 20 mm.

Advantageously, the width of the opening is such that the latter can be closed by the user of the cosmetic product simply by placing a finger on it, such as the thumb for example. This allows the user to shake the dispensing device (and with it the second container) to better mix the cosmetic product with any substance added to it without the cosmetic product accidentally escaping from the second container.

According to another aspect of the invention, the dispensing device further comprises:

â € ¢ a third container for containing a second liquid product to be dispensed;

â € ¢ second means for withdrawing the second liquid product from the third receptacle and delivering the second liquid product outside the third receptacle, thus determining its delivery;

â € ¢ second connection means to the third receptacle of the second withdrawal and delivery means, the second connection means being suitable for allowing the positioning of the second withdrawal and delivery means so that said emission of the second liquid product entails an introduction of the second liquid product in the second vessel.

Similarly to what has been said previously, by "liquid product" is meant a liquid substance, or a semi-liquid substance, or a semi-solid substance.

Advantageously, in the variant described above, the dispensing device is capable of delivering two liquid products respectively contained in the first and third receptacles, and both of which can be fed into the second receptacle.

A user can decide, by way of example, to use only one of the two products (as taken from the respective containers or mixed with other substances "external" to the dispensing device) or to mix the two products with each other ( and possibly with other substances "external" to the dispensing device) in the second container before their use.

Another object of the invention is a container of at least one liquid cosmetic product, the container comprising:

â € ¢ a first container for containing the cosmetic product;

â € ¢ a first opening in correspondence with the first container to allow both the introduction of the cosmetic product into the first container and the removal of the cosmetic product from the first container;

â € ¢ connection means to the first container of closing means of the first opening;

the connection means being suitable for allowing the removal of the closure means and the connection to the first container of means for withdrawing the cosmetic product from the first container and for delivering the cosmetic product outside the first container, thus determining a dispensing of the cosmetic product from the container;

wherein according to the invention the container comprises a second receptacle; the second container comprising at least a second opening to allow both the introduction of at least one substance into the second container and the withdrawal from the second container of what is contained therein;

the connection means being suitable for allowing the positioning of the pick-up and delivery means so that said release of the cosmetic product entails an introduction of the cosmetic product into the second container.

The container, another object of the invention, is a refill of the dispensing device described above. In fact, the container does not comprise the means for withdrawing and issuing the cosmetic product but comprises means for connecting the closing means suitable for allowing the removal of the closing means and the connection to the first container of the means for withdrawing and issuing the cosmetic product. When the cosmetic product contained in the first container of the dispensing device runs out, it is necessary to:

a) removing the closure means from the first receptacle of the container;

b) removing the withdrawal and delivery means from the first receptacle of the dispensing device;

c) connecting to the first receptacle of the container, at the first opening, the withdrawal and delivery means removed from the first receptacle of the dispensing device.

The replacement of the means for closing the container with the means for withdrawing and issuing the dispensing device causes the container itself to become the dispensing device object of the invention.

Detailed description of some preferred embodiments of the invention

In the present description, for convenience of explanation, reference is made only to a preferred example of embodiment of the invention in which the dispensing device is used to dispense cosmetic products for the hair, and in particular a shampoo or a shampoo and a conditioner. . It must be understood that the device described is not limited to the above example but can be used to dispense any liquid cosmetic product. The dispensing device object of the invention can also be used for the dispensing of any liquid substance the user needs to mix with other substances before using it.

In the present description, a figure may also be illustrated with reference to elements not expressly indicated in that figure but in other figures. The scale and proportions of the various elements depicted do not necessarily correspond to the real ones.

With reference to Figures 1 to 3, a device 1 for dispensing a shampoo 2 contained therein is illustrated. The device 1 comprises a bottle 3 having, by way of example, the shape of a parallelepiped with an almost rectangular base. In particular, the bottle 3 comprises a side wall 4 interposed to a pair of bases 5 and 6. In the figures, by way of example, the side wall is arranged vertically and the bases 5 and 6 are arranged horizontally, with the base 5 acting as the lower base of the bottle 3 and the base 6 as the upper base. Bottle 3 is preferably made of a plastic material.

An internal wall 10 divides the bottle 3 into a first container 11 and a second container 12. By way of example, the internal wall 10 is orthogonal to the bases 5 and 6, and is therefore arranged vertically in figure 2. The first container 11 contains the shampoo 2 and has a volume preferably greater than that of the second container 12.

The dispensing device 1 also comprises a piston metering pump 15, of a substantially known type, partially inserted in the dispensing device 1 in correspondence with the first container 11. In particular, the metering pump 15 comprises a spout 16 external to the bottle 3 and connected to it in correspondence with a portion 17 of the upper base 6 which delimits the first container 11 above. The spout 16 can be moved with respect to the bottle 3 preferably orthogonally to the bases 5 and 6. The spout 16 communicates with a tube 18 placed inside the first recipient 11 for picking up the shampoo 2. The pick-up tube 18 extends from the upper base 6, preferably orthogonally to the latter, until it reaches the lower base 5. The spout 16 has, at the tip 19, a hole 20 from which originates a duct 21 which passes through the spout 16 to join the intake tube 18. In the configuration shown in and figures, the spout 16 is at the upper limit switch. By pressing the spout 16 orthogonally to the bases 5 and 6, it moves towards the upper base 6. As a result of this translation, air is introduced into the first container 11 of the bottle 3. This causes an increase in pressure inside the first container 11 for effect of which the shampoo 2 is pushed into the suction tube 18, from here into the duct 21 and then comes out of the container 3 through the hole 20 of the spout 16. A spring 22 ensures that the spout 16 returns to the upper limit switch once the pressure on it is finished , i.e. once the shampoo has been dispensed 2.

The upper base 6, in correspondence with a portion 25 of the same which delimits the second container 12 above, has an opening 26 which allows access to the second container 12. By way of example, the opening 26 is circular and has a diameter preferably between 5 mm and 30 mm, and even more preferably between 15 mm and 20 mm.

The spout 16 is preferably arranged parallel to the upper base 6 and is connected to the latter so as to be able to rotate around an axis 27 preferably arranged orthogonally to the base 6. In particular, this connection is made by means of a ring nut 23 which it is screwed to the portion 17 of the upper base 6 in correspondence with an externally threaded neck 24 and delimiting an opening 13 in the upper base 6. The spout 16 is connected to the ring nut 23 by interlocking so that it can rotate around the axis 27. The distance between the hole 20 and the rotation axis 27 is sufficient so that, by rotating the spout 16 around its own axis 27, the hole 20 can be vertically aligned with the opening 26 (as in the configuration shown in figures 1 to 3), that is, so that the shampoo 2, coming out of the spout 16 through the hole 20, falls, due to the effect of the weight force, into the second container 12 through the opening 26. In particular, the distance between the hole 20 and the rotation axis 27 is preferably equal to the distance between the center of the circumference described by the opening 26 and the rotation axis 27.

With reference to Figure 2, it is possible to note that the side wall 4 and the internal wall 10, in correspondence with a face 28 inside the second vessel 12, are flared in the vicinity of the opening 26. In particular, the flare 29 has a diameter transversal decreasing towards opening 26, i.e. increasing from bottom to top in Figure 2.

Figure 4 shows a dispensing device 30 which differs from the dispensing device 1 illustrated in the previous figures in that the bottle 3 has the shape of a right prism with a triangular base and comprises a second internal wall 31 which identifies in the bottle 3, together to the inner wall 10, a third container 32 containing, by way of example, a balm. The second internal wall 31 is preferably orthogonal to the bases 5 and 6, and is therefore arranged vertically in figure 4. The dispensing device 30 further comprises a second piston metering pump 33 similar to the metering pump 15 of the dispensing device 1. The second metering pump 33 comprises a spout 34 having a hole 35 at the tip 36 from which the conditioner emerges. Similarly to the spout 16, the spout 34 is preferably arranged parallel to the upper base 6 and is connected to the latter by means of a ring nut 37 so as to be able to rotate around an axis preferably parallel to the axis 27. The distance between the hole 35 and the axis of rotation of the nozzle 34 is sufficient so that, by rotating the nozzle 34 around its own axis, the hole 35 can be aligned vertically with the opening 26, i.e. so that the conditioner, coming out of the nozzle 34 through the hole 35 falls, due to the effect of the weight force, into the second container 12 through the opening 26.

Figure 5 shows a device 40 which differs from the dispensing device 1 illustrated in Figures 1 to 3 in that it has, instead of the metering pump 15, a cap 41 screwed to the threaded neck 24 of the bottle 3 in place of the ring nut 23, closing the opening 13 for accessing the first container 11.

On the basis of the description provided for a preferred embodiment example, it is obvious that some changes can be introduced by the person skilled in the art without thereby departing from the scope of the invention as defined by the following claims.
