Abstract

Dispenser of a liquid cosmetic product comprising a bottle (3) divided by an internal wall (10) into a first receptacle (11) and a second receptacle (12). The first receptacle contains the cosmetic product to be dispensed and is connected to a metering pump (15) by means of which the cosmetic product is drawn from the first receptacle and introduced into the second receptacle in order to allow an easy mixing of the dispensed cosmetic product with other substances before the use thereof. One variant of the dispenser comprises a third receptacle (32) containing a second liquid cosmetic product and connected with a second metering pump (33) by means of which the second cosmetic product is drawn from the third receptacle and introduced into the second receptacle in order to allow an easy mixing of the first cosmetic product with the second cosmetic product before the use thereof. Another object of the invention is a container (40) acting as a reloading container for the above-described dispenser.

Description

Dispenser of a liquid cosmetic product, comprising a receptacle for mixing the cosmetic product with other substances before the use thereof
Field of application of the invention
The present invention refers to the field of cosmetics and personal hygiene. In the following present description, by "cosmetic product" it is intended a substance with cosmetic use, i.e. a substance used in cosmetics practices for hygienic and/or aesthetic purposes. By way of example, cosmetics products include the following: detergents, emollients, toners, eutrophicating substances, absorbent substances and covering substances.
In the following present description, by "liquid cosmetic product" it is intended a liquid substance with cosmetic use, or a semi-liquid substance with cosmetic use (such as creams, i.e. substances in liquid state but characterized by high density and consistency), or a semi-solid substance for cosmetic use (such as gels, i.e. substances in liquid state but characterized by a greater density and consistency with respect to a semi-liquid substance). By way of example, liquid cosmetic products include shampoos, soaps, conditioners, lotions, creams, gels, oils, perfumes and pastes.
In the following present description, with the word "liquid cosmetic product" it is intended to identify all the substances for cosmetic use of the aforesaid type. More precisely, the present invention refers to a dispenser of a liquid cosmetic product, comprising a receptacle for containing the cosmetic product after its dispensing and before its use, or for allowing the mixing of the dispensed cos- metic product with other substances (such as water or another cosmetic product) before the use thereof.
Review of the prior art
Liquid cosmetic products are generally sold packaged in suitable containers (i.e. receptacles exclusively intended for containing the cosmetic product) or in suitable dispensers (i.e. devices comprising both a receptacle for containing the cosmetic product and dispenser means which draw the cosmetic product from the receptacle in order to emit it outside the same, thus allowing the use thereof by a user of the cosmetic product).
The containers of the liquid cosmetic products are usually bottles or jars (depending on the consistency of the product) having an opening through which the user of the cosmetic product can draw the latter from the container, e.g. by overturning or pressing the bottle, or by inserting a hand in the jar. The opening is closeable by means of a cap screwable to the container or hinged thereto. The dispensers of liquid cosmetic products generally comprise a bottle containing the cosmetic product and having an opening at which a piston metering pump is connected to the bottle; such pump draws the cosmetic product from the bottle and emits it outside the same. Piston metering pumps generally comprise a translatable spout placed outside the bottle and connected to a tube placed inside the bottle for drawing out the cosmetic product. By pressing the spout, air is introduced in the bottle. This causes an increase of pressure inside the bottle due to which the cosmetic product is thrust into the drawing tube so as to exit out from the spout. The metering pump described briefly herein is substantially of known type, therefore further details thereof will not be provided. When a person needs to use a liquid cosmetic product, generally he/she deposits a desired amount thereof on one hand. If the cosmetic product is applied on the head (such as a shampoo), in moving the cosmetic product towards the elevated head there is the risk that the cosmetic product could accidentally fall from the hand. This determines a waste of cosmetic product and consequently a waste of time and money.
In addition, there is sometimes the need to mix a cosmetic product with other substances before using it. By way of example, several detergents are sold at concentrations so high that they are aggressive for the skin and must first be diluted with water before being used. The dilution with water before the use of a liquid cosmetic product can also be carried out for the purpose of increasing the volume of the cosmetic product, in a manner so as to allow the use thereof for a greater number of times with respect to the non-diluted cosmetic product use, given the same amount of product purchased. Some cosmetics products are deliberately sold in concentrated formulas, e.g. with the purpose of lowering the transport costs. Said cosmetics products must therefore be diluted with water or mixed with other substances before being used.
Until now, the abovementioned mixtures have been made in the same hand in which the cosmetic product is deposited, by adding water or another substance to be mixed. This operation is however extremely inconvenient and does not allow accurately evaluating the quantity of water or another substance that is added to the cosmetic product. In addition, analogous to that stated above, the accidental falling of the cosmetic product from the hand can occur before and/or during and/or after the mixing, with a waste of cosmetic product and consequently of time and money.
Objects of the invention
Object of the present invention is to overcome the aforesaid drawbacks and to indicate a dispenser that allows collecting the dispensed cosmetic product in a practical manner and without waste before the use thereof, as well as a practical and safe mixing of the dispensed cosmetic product with other substances before the use thereof.
Summary of the invention
Object of the present invention is a dispenser of at least one first liquid cosmetic product, the dispenser comprising:
• a first receptacle for containing the first cosmetic product;
• first means for drawing the first cosmetic product from the first receptacle and for emitting the first cosmetic product outside the first receptacle, thus caus- ing the dispensing thereof;
• first means for connecting the first receptacle with the first drawing and emitting means; in which according to the invention the dispenser comprises at least one second receptacle;
the first connection means being suitable to allow the positioning of the first drawing and emitting means in a manner such that said emission of the first cosmetic product involves an introduction of the first cosmetic product into the second receptacle;
the second receptacle comprising at least one opening for allowing both the introduction of at least one substance in the second receptacle and the drawing from the second receptacle of that contained therein.
Further innovative characteristics of the present invention are described in the dependent claims.
The cosmetic product is then introduced by the drawing and emitting means into the second receptacle and here it can be mixed with another substance (such as another cosmetic product or water) before the use thereof. When the cos- metic product is ready for use, independent of whether a mixing with other substances has occurred, the user:
a) grasps the dispenser (and hence the second receptacle therewith);
b) brings the dispenser closer to the part of the body at which he/she intends to use the cosmetic product;
c) applies the cosmetic product (mixed or non-mixed) to said body part by making that contained in the second receptacle exit outward therefrom through said opening.
If the body part at which the cosmetic product is applied are the hands, after having grasped the dispenser with one hand, the contents of the second recep- tacle are emptied on the other hand.
According to one aspect of the invention, said introduction of the first cosmetic product in the second receptacle occurs through said opening.
According to another aspect of the invention, the first drawing and emitting means comprise a spout situated outside the first and second receptacle, the spout comprising a hole at which said emission of the first cosmetic product occurs to the outside of the first receptacle, the first connection means being suitable for allowing the positioning of the spout in a manner such that the hole is vertically aligned with the opening, said introduction of the first cosmetic product into the second receptacle occurring due to the weight force acting on the dispensed first cosmetic product.
Following the dispensing, the cosmetic product falls from the spout into the sec- ond receptacle through the opening.
According to another aspect of the invention, the first connection means comprise means for rotating the spout with respect to the opening.
Advantageously, after the cosmetic product has been introduced in the second container, it is opportune to rotate the spout in a manner such that the hole thereof is not vertically aligned with the opening of the second receptacle, i.e. in a manner so as to distance the hole from the opening. In such a manner, there is no risk that the cosmetic product intercepts the spout when it is drawn from the second receptacle. Alternatively, the spout is provided with means that prevent the dispensing of the cosmetic product when the spout is rotated, with re- spect to the position in which the hole is vertically aligned with the opening, by an angle with width greater than a pre-established angle.
Analogously, if it is necessary to mix the cosmetic product with another substance before its use (e.g. if it is necessary to dilute the cosmetic product with water), after having introduced the cosmetic product in the second receptacle, it is opportune to rotate the spout in a manner so as to distance the hole from the opening so that said substance does not intercept the spout when it is introduced in the second receptacle.
Finally, if at a specific time the user of the cosmetic product does not wish the latter to be introduced into the second receptacle, it is possible to rotate the spout in a manner so as to distance the hole from the opening so that the cosmetic product, when dispensed, falls outside the second receptacle, e.g. into the hand of a user.
According to another aspect of the invention, the dispenser comprises a support base, the second receptacle comprising at least one wall at which the opening is made, said wall being opposite the support base at the opening.
Advantageously, the application of the contents of the second receptacle to the desired body part occurs simply by overturning the dispenser (and the second receptacle therewith). The outflow of the cosmetic product (mixed or non-mixed) from the second receptacle occurs due to the weight force acting on the cosmetic product.
According to another aspect of the invention, said wall comprises a face inside the second receptacle, said wall being flared at least at the internal face and at least adjacent to the opening, the flaring having transverse diameter decreasing the opening.
Advantageously, the flaring facilitates the outflow from the second receptacle of that contained therein, obstructing the deposit of cosmetic product residues on the internal face of the wall, adjacent to the opening.
According to another aspect of the invention, the opening is circular and has a diameter preferably comprised between 15 mm and 20 mm.
Advantageously, the width of the opening is such that the latter can be closed by the user of the cosmetic product simply by resting a finger on top of it, for example the thumb. This allows the user to facilitate the dispenser (and the second receptacle therewith) in order to better mix the cosmetic product with the substance possibly added thereto without the cosmetic product accidentally exiting from the second receptacle.
According to another aspect of the invention, the dispenser also comprises: · a third receptacle for containing a second liquid product to be dispensed;
• second means for drawing the second liquid product from the third receptacle and for emitting the second liquid product outside the third receptacle, thus causing the dispensing thereof;
• second means for connecting the third receptacle with the second drawing and emitting means, the second connection means being suitable for allowing the positioning of the second drawing and emitting means in a manner such that said emission of the second liquid product involves an introduction of the second liquid product into the second receptacle.
Analogous to that stated above, by "liquid product" it is intended a liquid sub- stance, or a semi-liquid substance, or a semi-solid substance.
Advantageously, in the above-described variant, the dispenser is capable of dispensing two liquid products respectively contained in the first and in the third receptacle, and both can be introduced in the second receptacle.
A user can decide, by way of example, to use only one of the two products (as drawn by the respective receptacles or mixed with other substances "outside" the dispenser) or mix the two products together (and possibly together with oth- er substances "outside" the dispenser) in the second receptacle before their use.
Another invention object is a container of at least one liquid cosmetic product, the container comprising:
• a first receptacle for containing the cosmetic product;
· a first opening at the first receptacle for allowing both the introduction of the cosmetic product into the first receptacle and the drawing of the cosmetic product from the first receptacle;
• means for connecting the first receptacle with means for closing the first opening;
the connection means being suitable for allowing the removal of the closure means and the connection of the first receptacle to means for drawing the cosmetic product from the first receptacle and for emitting the cosmetic product outside the first receptacle, thus causing a dispensing of the cosmetic product from the container;
wherein according to the invention the container comprises a second receptacle;
the second receptacle comprising at least one second opening for allowing both the introduction of at least one substance into the second receptacle and the drawing from the second receptacle of that contained therein;
the connection means being suitable for allowing the positioning of the drawing and emitting means in a manner such that said emission of the cosmetic product involves an introduction of the cosmetic product in the second receptacle. Another object of the invention is a reloading container for the above-described dispenser. The container in fact does not comprise the means for drawing and emitting the cosmetic product but comprises means for connecting the closure means suitable for allowing the removal of the closure means and the connection to the first receptacle of the cosmetic product drawing and emitting means. When the cosmetic product contained in the first receptacle of the dispenser is finished, it is necessary to:
a) remove the closure means from the first receptacle of the container;
b) remove the drawing and emitting means from the first receptacle of the dis- penser;
c) connect the first receptacle of the container, at the first opening, to the drawing and emitting means removed from the first receptacle of the dispenser.
The substitution of the closure means for the container with the drawing and emitting means of the dispenser ensures that the container itself becomes the dispenser, object of the invention.

Further objects and advantages of the present invention will be clearer from the followed detailed description of an embodiment thereof and from the enclosed drawings, given as a merely non-limiting example, in which:
- figure 1 shows, in perspective view, a dispenser of a liquid cosmetic product according to the present invention;
- figure 2 shows the dispenser of figure 1 in schematic cross section;
- figure 3 shows the dispenser of figure 1 in top plan view;
- figure 4 shows, in top plan view, a variant of the dispenser of figure 1 ;
- figure 5 shows, in perspective view, a container of a liquid cosmetic product according to the present invention.
Detailed description of several embodiments of the invention
In the present description, for descriptive ease, reference is only made to a preferred embodiment of the invention in which the dispenser is employed for dis- pensing cosmetics products for hair, and in particular a shampoo or a shampoo and a conditioner. It must be clear that the described device is not limited to the aforesaid embodiment but can be employed for dispensing any liquid cosmetic product. The dispenser, object of the invention, can also be employed for dispensing any one liquid substance, which the user must mix with other sub- stances before the use thereof.
In the present description, a figure can also be illustrated with reference to elements not expressly indicated in that figure but in other figures. The scale and proportions of the various depicted elements do not necessarily correspond to actual scale and proportions.
With reference to figures 1 to 3, a device 1 is illustrated for dispensing a shampoo 2 contained therein. The device 1 comprises a bottle 3 having, by way of example, the shape of a parallelepiped with nearly rectangular base. In particular, the bottle 3 comprises a lateral wall 4 interposed with a pair of bases 5 and 6. In the figures, by way of example, the lateral wall is vertically arranged and the bases 5 and 6 are horizontally arranged, with the base 5 acting as lower base of the bottle 3 and the base 6 acting as upper base. The bottle 3 is pref- erably made of a plastic material.
An internal wall 10 divides the bottle 3 into a first receptacle 11 and a second receptacle 12. By way of example, the internal wall 10 is orthogonal to the bases 5 and 6, and is therefore vertically arranged in figure 2. The first receptacle 11 contains the shampoo 2 and has a volume preferably greater than that of the second receptacle 12.
The dispenser 1 also comprises a piston metering pump 15, of substantially known type, partially inserted in the dispenser 1 at the first receptacle 11. In particular, the metering pump 15 comprises a spout 16 outside the bottle 3 and connected thereto at a portion 17 of the upper base 6 that delimits the first re- ceptacle 11 on the upper part. The spout 16 can be translated with respect to the bottle 3 preferably orthogonally to the bases 5 and 6. The spout 16 communicates with a tube 18 placed inside the first receptacle 11 for drawing the shampoo 2. The drawing tube 18 is extended from the upper base 6, preferably orthogonally thereto, until it is brought close to the lower base 5. The spout 16 has, at the tip 19, a hole 20 from which a duct 21 originates that traverses the spout 16 in order to be joined with the drawing tube 18. In the configuration shown in the figures, the spout 16 is at the upper end stop. By pressing the spout 16 orthogonally to the bases 5 and 6, it translates towards the upper base 6. Due to this translation, air is introduced into the first receptacle 11 of the bot- tie 3. This causes an increase of pressure inside the first receptacle 11 due to which the shampoo 2 is thrust into the drawing tube 18, and from here into the duct 21 before exiting out from the receptacle 3 through the hole 20 of the spout 16. A spring 22 ensures that the spout 16 returns to the upper end stop once the pressure on the same has terminated, i.e. once the dispensing of the shampoo 2 has terminated.
The upper base 6, at a portion 25 thereof that delimits the second receptacle 12 on the upper part, has an opening 26 that allows the access to the second receptacle 12. By way of example, the opening 26 is circular and has a diameter preferably comprised between 5 mm and 30 mm, and still more preferably comprised between 15 mm and 20 mm.
The spout 16 is preferably arranged parallel to the upper base 6 and is con- nected to the latter in a manner so as to be able to rotate around an axis 27 preferably arranged orthogonal to the base 6. In particular, this connection is obtained by means of a ring nut 23 which is screwed to the portion 17 of the upper base 6 at an externally threaded neck 24 delimiting an opening 13 in the upper base 6. The spout 16 is connected to the ring nut 23 by fit-coupling in a manner so as to be able to rotate around the axis 27. The distance between the hole 20 and the rotation axis 27 is sufficient such that, by rotating the spout 16 around its own axis 27, the hole 20 can be vertically aligned with the opening 26 (as in the configuration shown in figures 1 to 3), i.e. so that the shampoo 2, exiting from the spout 16 through the hole 20, falls due to the weight force into the second receptacle 12 through the opening 26. In particular, the distance between the hole 20 and the rotation axis 27 is preferably equal to the distance between the center of the circumference described by the opening 26 and the rotation axis 27.
With reference to figure 2, it is possible to observe that the lateral wall 4 and the internal wall 10, at a face 28 inside the second receptacle 12, are flared adjacent to the opening 26. In particular, the flaring 29 has a transverse diameter decreasing towards the opening 26, i.e. increasing from the bottom to the top in figure 2.
Figure 4 shows a dispenser 30 which differs from the dispenser 1 illustrated in the preceding figures due to the fact that the bottle 3 has the form of a right prism with triangular base and comprises a second internal wall 31 which identifies in the bottle 3, together with the internal wall 10, a third receptacle 32 con- taining for example a conditioner. The second internal wall 31 is preferably orthogonal to the bases 5 and 6, and is therefore vertically arranged in figure 4. The dispenser 30 also comprises a second piston metering pump 33 analogous to the first metering pump 15 of the dispenser 1. The second metering pump 33 comprises a spout 34 having a hole 35 at the tip 36 from which the conditioner exits. Analogous to the spout 16, the spout 34 is preferably arranged parallel to the upper base 6 and is connected thereto by means of a ring nut 37 in a manner so as to be able to rotate around an axis preferably parallel to the axis 27. The distance between the hole 35 and the rotation axis of the spout 34 is suffi- cient such that, by rotating the spout 34 around the axis thereof, the hole 35 can be vertically aligned with the opening 26, i.e. so that the conditioner, exiting from the spout 34 through the hole 35, falls due to the weight force into the second receptacle 12 through the opening 26.
Figure 5 shows a device 40 that differs from the dispenser 1 illustrated in the figures 1 to 3 due to the fact that it has, in place of the metering pump 15, a cap 41 screwed to the threaded neck 24 of the bottle 3 in place of the ring nut 23, for the closure of the access opening 13 to the first receptacle 11.
On the bases of the description provided for a preferred embodiment, it is obvious that several changes can be introduced by the man skilled in the art without departing from the scope of the invention, as defined by the following claims.

Claims

Dispenser (1 , 30) of at least one first liquid cosmetic product (2), said dispenser (1 , 30) comprising:
• a first receptacle (1 1 ) for containing said first cosmetic product (2);
• first means (15, 16, 20) for drawing said first cosmetic product (2) from said first receptacle (11 ) and for emitting said first cosmetic product (2) outside said first receptacle (1 1 ), thus causing the dispensing of said first cosmetic product (2);
• first means (23, 24) for connecting said first receptacle (1 1 ) with said first drawing and emitting means (15, 16, 20);
said dispenser (1 , 30) being characterized in that it comprises at least one second receptacle (12);
said first connection means (23, 24) being suitable for allowing the positioning of said first drawing and emitting means (15, 16, 20) in a manner such that said emission of said first cosmetic product (2) involves an emission of said first cosmetic product (2) into said second receptacle (12);
said second receptacle (12) comprising at least one opening (26) for allowing both the introduction of at least one substance into said second receptacle (12) and the drawing from said second receptacle (12) of that contained in said second receptacle (12).
Dispenser (1 , 30) according to claim 1 , characterized in that said introduction of said first cosmetic product (2) into said second receptacle (12) occurs through said opening (26).
Dispenser (1 , 30) according to claim 2, characterized in that said first drawing and emitting means (15) comprise a spout (16) outside said first and second receptacle (1 1 , 12), said spout (16) comprising a hole (20) at which said emission of said first cosmetic product (2) occurs to the outside of said first receptacle (1 1 ), said first connection means (23, 24) being suitable for allowing the positioning of said spout (16) in a manner such that said hole (20) is vertically aligned with said opening (26), said introduction of said first cosmetic product (2) into said second receptacle (12) occurring due to the weight force acting on said dispensed first cosmetic product (2).
4. Dispenser (1 , 30) according to claim 3, characterized in that said first connection means (23, 24) comprise means (23) for rotating said spout (16) with respect to said opening (26).
5. Dispenser (1 , 30) according to claim 1 , characterized in that it comprises a support base (5), said second receptacle (12) comprising at least one wall
(4, 6, 25, 28) at which said opening (26) is made, said wall (4, 6, 25, 28) being opposite said support base (5) at said opening (26).
6. Dispenser (1 , 30) according to claim 5, characterized in that said wall (4, 6, 25) comprises a face (28) inside said second receptacle (12), said wall (4, 6, 25) being flared at least at said internal face (28) and at least adjacent to said opening (26), said flaring (29) having transverse diameter decreasing towards said opening (26).
7. Dispenser (1 , 30) according to claim 1 , characterized in that said opening (26) is circular and has a diameter comprised between 15 mm and 20 mm.
8. Dispenser (30) according to claim 1 , characterized in that it comprises:
• a third receptacle (32) for containing a second liquid product to be dispensed;
• second means (33, 34, 35) for drawing said second liquid product from said third receptacle (32) and for emitting said second liquid product out- side said third receptacle (32), thus causing the dispensing of said second liquid product;
• second means (37) for connecting said third receptacle (32) with said second drawing and emitting means (33, 34, 35), said second connection means (37) being suitable for allowing the positioning of said second drawing and emitting means (33, 34, 35) in a manner such that said emission of said second liquid product involves an introduction of said second liquid product into said second receptacle (12).
9. Container (40) of at least one liquid cosmetic product (2), said container (40) comprising:
· a first receptacle (1 1 ) for containing said cosmetic product (2);
• a first opening (13) at said first receptacle (11 ) for allowing both the introduction of said cosmetic product (2) into said first receptacle (1 1 ) and the drawing of said cosmetic product (2) from said first receptacle (1 1 );
• means (24) for connecting said first receptacle with means (41 ) for closing said first opening;
said connection means (24) being suitable for allowing the removal of said closure means (41 ) and the connection of said first receptacle (1 1 ) to means (15) for drawing said cosmetic product (2) from said first receptacle (1 1 ) and for emitting said cosmetic product (2) outside said first receptacle (1 1 ), thus causing a dispensing of said cosmetic product (2) from said container (40);
said container (40) being characterized in that it comprises a second receptacle (12);
said second receptacle (12) comprising at least one second opening (26) for allowing both the introduction of at least one substance into said second receptacle (12) and the drawing from said second receptacle (12) of that contained said second receptacle (12);
said connection means (23) being suitable for allowing the positioning of said drawing and emission means (15) in a manner such that said emission of said cosmetic product (2) involves an introduction of said cosmetic product (2) into said second receptacle (12).
