Description
DESCRIZIONE
dell'invenzione industriale avente per titolo:
“Supporto tessile consolidato per via chimica e termica, particolarmente per membrane bituminose.â€
La presente invenzione concerne un supporto tessile idoneo per l’impiego in membrane impermeabilizzanti bituminose.
I supporti per le membrane bituminose usate per l'impermeabilizzazione dei tetti devono soddisfare una molteplicità di richieste tecniche.
Prima di tutto, i supporti devono possedere adeguate caratteristiche meccaniche tali da sopportare le sollecitazioni a cui sono sottoposti sia nella fase di impregnazione in bitume sia nella successiva posa sui tetti delle membrane finite.
Inoltre à ̈ indispensabile che i supporti abbiano una eccellente stabilità dimensionale alle sollecitazioni sia meccaniche che termiche che caratterizzano il processo di lavorazione in bitume.
A questo proposito, à ̈ nota la tecnica di accoppiare uno o più substrati tessili di fibre sintetiche con fili rinforzo continui ad alto modulo, per esempio di vetro o altri materiali minerali, naturali o sintetici, disposti in senso longitudinale. (US 5,118,550; US 4,539,254; US 6,131,351, EP 0806509).
I substrati tessili ed i rinforzi sono uniti insieme mediante agugliatura meccanica o interlacciatura ad acqua e consolidati mediante un legante chimico.
In altre configurazioni, invece, il consolidamento avviene per via termica, portando a fusione un componente basso-fondente aggiunto al substrato sotto forma di fibre o fili (US 4,504,539).
Le tecniche note consentono di ottenere supporti con buone rigidità e stabilità dimensionali in modo da evitare o ridurre i fenomeni di restringimento in fase di processo produttivo delle membrane.
Tuttavia, i supporti di cui sopra presentano spesso dei difetti localizzati sulle estremità trasversali dei rotoli (bordi longitudinali) che pregiudicano la qualità dei manufatti. In particolare i bordi longitudinali, a causa della disomogeneità delle condizioni di processo (tensioni, temperature) a cui i bordi stessi sono soggetti durante il processo produttivo, o, nel caso di supporti con elementi di rinforzo, a causa della minore forza di adesione rinforzo-substrato conseguente alle disomogeneità di cui sopra, rappresentano punti di ridotta resistenza e rigidità , piegano verso il basso e si ripiegano su se stessi in fase di impregnazione in bitume. Quando questo avviene il manufatto risulta difettoso e quindi declassato o, per ovviare al problema, à ̈ necessario ridurre la velocità di produzione con conseguenti danni economici.
Inoltre l'inserimento di filamenti od altri elementi di rinforzo tra due o più falde di substrato crea un elemento di discontinuità che può facilitare la tendenza alla delaminazione ed il distacco delle falde di substrato tessile. Nel caso dell’impiego dei supporti per le membrane bituminose usate per l'impermeabilizzazione dei tetti, questo può portare nel tempo, a seguito dell’invecchiamento della membrana e dei numerosi cicli termici a cui essa à ̈ sottoposta nel periodo di utilizzo, al parziale distacco degli strati tessili, con conseguente rischio di perdita delle prestazioni impermeabilizzanti.
In vista di questo stato della tecnica lo scopo della presente invenzione à ̈ stato quello di realizzare un supporto tessile per membrane bituminose che fosse in grado di superare gli inconvenienti sopra descritti.
In accordo con la presente invenzione tale scopo à ̈ raggiunto con un supporto tessile comprendente almeno uno strato di tessuto non tessuto di fibre sintetiche ed un componente legante avente un punto di fusione inferiore a quello delle fibre sintetiche dello strato di tessuto non tessuto, l’insieme costituito da detto strato di tessuto non tessuto e da detto componente legante essendo sottoposto a trattamento termico per la fusione del componente legante ed essendo successivamente consolidato mediante impregnazione con resina, caratterizzato dal fatto che lungo i bordi longitudinali del supporto tessile detto componente legante à ̈ presente con una dose superiore a quella sulla restante superficie del supporto stesso.
Secondo una forma di realizzazione preferita il componente legante, sotto forma di fibre, polvere o polimero fuso, ha un punto di fusione da 30 a 50°C inferiore al punto di fusione delle fibre sintetiche dello strato di tessuto non tessuto. Esempi di componenti leganti sono: polibutilentereftalato, poliammide 6, co-poliestere, co-poliammide, poliuretani.
Il componente legante viene dosato su tutta le superficie dello strato di tessuto non tessuto nella misura da 0,5 a 5 g/mq, preferibilmente da 1 ,5 a 3 g/mq, mentre nelle aree costituenti i bordi del supporto tessile finito viene dosato nella misura da 15 a 50 g/mq, preferibilmente da 25 a 35 g/mq.
Ogni strato di tessuto non tessuto à ̈ preferibilmente formato da fili continui (spun bond) di poliestere o da fibre in fiocco dello stesso materiale, con un grado di finezza tra 0,5 e 6 dtex, preferibilmente tra 3 e 5 dtex.
Fili di rinforzo continui ad alto modulo, in particolare di vetro, disposti longitudinalmente, possono essere applicati sullo strato di tessuto non tessuto o tra due strati dello stesso e poi fissati mediante agugliatura meccanica, con densità compresa tra 20 e 150 punti/cm<2>, o ad acqua. In alternativa il rinforzo può essere costituito da una rete o da un tessuto di fibre di vetro.
L’insieme così formato viene stabilizzato mediante trattamento termico per calandratura o in forno ad aria calda alla temperatura di 220-240°C in modo da ottenere la fusione del componente legante e viene infine consolidato mediante impregnazione con resine acriliche, stirolo-butadieniche, viniliche, ecc, ad un contenuto tra il 10 ed il 25 % in peso.
Si ottengono così i seguenti vantaggi:
Maggiore rigidità conferita dal componente legante, che migliora la stabilità dimensionale del supporto. Il legante aumenta l’adesione tra gli eventuali fili di rinforzo e lo strato di tessuto non tessuto, eliminando i micro-cedimenti localizzati che innescano fenomeni di instabilità durante il processo di impregnazione in bitume. Inoltre il componente legante incrementa la forza di adesione tra i due o più strati del supporto.
Il supporto tessile oggetto della presente invenzione presenta una maggior rigidità ed una migliore planarità in particolare in corrispondenza dei bordi, eliminando pertanto i fenomeni di instabilità che provocano i difetti nei manufatti sopra descritti.
L’aumento della stabilità dimensionale ottenuta con la presente invenzione, à ̈ misurata dall’incremento del modulo elastico a 180°C che raggiunge valori fino a 1000 - 1600 daN per metro lineare, notevolmente superiori ai valori di 80 -100 daN ottenuti con la tecnica nota (US 5,118,550).
Esempio 1
Sono stati prodotti fili continui di PET con densità lineare 3,3 dtex, disposti a formare due veli random di larghezza 3.6 m. Sulla superficie interna di uno dei due veli à ̈ stato applicato uno strato di adesivo a base di co-polimero poliammide-6, mediante un cilindro inciso che trasferisce l’adesivo secondo un disegno a forma di rete a losanghe e in una quantità pari a 5 g per m<2>di supporto tessile.
La superficie in corrispondenza delle due estremità del cilindro, per una larghezza di 12 cm su ciascun lato, riporta una incisione con un disegno a punti, in grado di applicare uno strato di adesivo da 6 a 10 volte superiore rispetto a quello trasferito dal disegno a losanghe del corpo centrale del cilindro.
Il peso del supporto tessile costituito dai due veli di fibre poliestere e dall’adesivo, prima dell’impregnazione con resine, à ̈ risultato di 189 g/m<2>nella parte centrale e di 219 g/m<2>nelle due aree laterali corrispondenti ai bordi. Sulle aree laterali, corrispondenti ai bordi del supporto, à ̈ stata applicata una quantità di adesivo di 30 g/m<2>superiore rispetto alla quantità depositata sulla parte centrale.
I due veli sono stati accoppiati ed agugliati usando aghi Grotz Beckert 15x18x38x3 CB con penetrazione di 13 mm e densità di agugliatura di 91 punti/m<2>. Il supporto tessile à ̈ stato sottoposto a trattamento termico in calandra riscaldata a 240 °C, successivamente impregnato con una resina stiroloacrilica ed asciugato in forno alla temperatura di 210°C.
II peso finale del supporto à ̈ risultato mediamente di 250 g/m<2>con un contenuto di resina pari al 21.5 % del peso del prodotto finito.
Il supporto à ̈ stato analizzato secondo la norma ISO 9073, per determinare le caratteristiche meccaniche a temperatura ambiente. Inoltre sono stati prelevati dei provini di dimensioni 50x180 mm per effettuare prove di trazione in camera termostatata a 180°C.
Si riportano in Fig. 1, 2, 3 e Tab. 1 i risultati delle prove di trazione e di delaminazione a temperatura ambiente; per quanto riguarda le prove di trazione, le curve sono state ottenute come media dei 5 provini, per confronto con analogo supporto preparato senza l'aggiunta di co-polimero poliammide-6. La valutazione del carico di delaminazione à ̈ stata effettuata su provini di 50 x 300 mm , di cui un lato corto à ̈ stato de laminato manualmente per circa 30 mm di lunghezza. I due lembi inseriti nei morsetti posti a distanza di 25 mm nella configurazione della norma ASTM D 2263.
Il carico di delaminazione à ̈ stato ottenuto come media dei dati di due prove, di cui si riporta il grafico in Fig. 2, per il campione HM4 ed in Fig. 3 per il campione HM5.

In Fig. 4 e Tab. 2 sono riportati i risultati delle prove di trazione a 180°C: le curve sono sempre state ottenute come media dei 5 provini, per confronto con analogo supporto preparato senza l'aggiunta di co-polimero poliammide-6.

Il supporto à ̈ stato impregnato in bitume modificato APP alla temperatura di 195 °C per la produzione di una membrana bituminosa di 4,5 mm di spessore con deposizione di scaglie minerali su una faccia ed applicazione di film poliolefinico sull’altra. L’impregnazione à ̈ stata effettuata ad una velocità di 70 m/min con un eccellente risultato in termini di planarità della membrana ed assenza di qualsiasi distorsione sia nella parte centrale che nei bordi.
Claims (15)
- RIVENDICAZIONI 1. Supporto tessile, particolarmente per membrane bituminose, comprendente almeno uno strato di tessuto non tessuto di fibre sintetiche ed un componente legante avente un punto di fusione inferiore a quello delle fibre sintetiche dello strato di tessuto non tessuto, l’insieme costituito da detto strato di tessuto non tessuto e da detto componente legante essendo sottoposto a trattamento termico per la fusione del componente legante ed essendo successivamente consolidato mediante impregnazione con resina, caratterizzato dal fatto che lungo i bordi longitudinali del supporto tessile detto componente legante à ̈ presente con una dose superiore a quella sulla restante superficie del supporto stesso.
- 2. Supporto tessile secondo la rivendicazione 1, caratterizzato dal fatto che il componente legante ha un punto di fusione da 30 a 50°C inferiore al punto di fusione delle fibre sintetiche dello strato di tessuto non tessuto.
- 3. Supporto tessile secondo le rivendicazioni 1 o 2, caratterizzato dal fatto che il componente legante à ̈ costituito da: polibutilentereftalato, poliammide-6, co-poliestere, co-poliammide, poliuretani.
- 4. Supporto tessile secondo la rivendicazione 1 , caratterizzato dal fatto che il componente legante à ̈ dosato su tutta le superficie dello strato di tessuto non tessuto nella misura da 0,5 a 5 g/mq, preferibilmente da 1,5 a 3 g/mq, mentre nelle aree costituenti i bordi del supporto tessile finito à ̈ dosato nella misura da 15 a 50 g/mq, preferibilmente da 25 a 35 g/mq.
- 5. Supporto tessile secondo la rivendicazione 1, caratterizzato dal fatto che ogni strato di tessuto non tessuto à ̈ formato da fili continui (spun bond) di poliestere.
- 6. Supporto tessile secondo la rivendicazione 1, caratterizzato dal fatto che ogni strato di tessuto non tessuto à ̈ formato da fibre di poliestere in fiocco.
- 7. Supporto tessile secondo le rivendicazioni 1 , 5 o 6, caratterizzato dal fatto che dette fibre sintetiche hanno un grado di finezza tra 0,5 e 6 dtex, preferibilmente tra 3 e 5 dtex.
- 8. Supporto tessile secondo la rivendicazione 1, caratterizzato dal fatto di comprendere fili di rinforzo continui ad alto modulo, in particolare di vetro, disposti longitudinalmente, applicati sullo strato di tessuto non tessuto o inseriti tra due strati dello stesso e fissati mediante agugliatura meccanica o interlacciatura ad acqua.
- 9. Supporto tessile secondo la rivendicazione 1, caratterizzato dal fatto di comprendere un rinforzo costituito da una rete o da un tessuto / tessuto non tessuto di fibre di vetro.
- 10. Supporto tessile secondo la rivendicazione 1, caratterizzato dal fatto che detto trattamento termico à ̈ eseguito ad una temperatura di 200-240°C.
- 11. Supporto tessile secondo la rivendicazione 1 , caratterizzato dal fatto che il contenuto di resina à ̈ compreso tra il 10 ed il 25 % in peso.
- 12. Supporto tessile secondo la rivendicazione 1, caratterizzato dal fatto che il legante chimico à ̈ applicato mediante saturazione.
- 13. Supporto tessile secondo la rivendicazione 1, caratterizzato dal fatto che il legante à ̈ costituito da resine sintetiche e/o resine a base di amido e/o derivati dalla cellulosa.
- 14. Supporto tessile secondo la rivendicazione 1, caratterizzato dal fatto che esso ha una grammatura compresa fra i 20 e 500 g/m2.
- 15. Supporto tessile secondo la rivendicazione 1 o 8, in cui il valore della densità di agugliatura à ̈ compresa tra 20 e 150 punti/cm2.
