WALL MOUNTING SYSTEM OF A CANTILEVERED CABINET

The present invention relates to a wall mounting system for a cantilevered piece of furniture, whether it be a hanging piece of furniture, or a so-called base, forming part, for example, of a kitchen, bathroom or living room furniture.

In the following, for the sake of simplicity, only the mobile hanging name will generally be used.

As is well known to experts in the field, to mount (suspend / hang) wall units, in a stable way, very long continuous bars (generally from two to four meters), or short bars, or custom-made plates are used. , which are fixed to the wall and are between the shoulders (sides) of the cabinet.

The plates can also be equipped with anti-release systems, as for example described and illustrated in the Italian patent application MI2009A000699, filed on 24/04/2009, with particular reference to figures 21-29.

For the purposes of understanding the present invention, the description and drawings of said application are to be considered an integral part of this text.

The cabinet is equipped with coupling devices, so-called â € œsupport holdersâ €, which are hooked to the aforementioned bars or plates.

Said hangers are fixed to the cabinet at the shoulders (sides) and are equipped with height and depth adjustment mechanisms of the cabinet, with respect to the wall and any adjacent furniture.

An example of a wall bracket is illustrated in the international patent PCT / EP2009 / 005627, filed on 24/07/2009, the content of which, for the purpose of understanding the present invention, is to be considered an integral part of this text.

The main indispensable conditions that must be met for a correct assembly of the wall unit are that the center distances between the plates fixed to the wall and that between the holders fixed to the piece of furniture are equal to each other, with the plates at the same height from the floor.

Given the above, the steps necessary to fix a wall unit to the wall (suspend / hang) are the following.

1. The piece of furniture must be equipped with at least two hangers, which are generally applied to the respective sides directly in the factory, during the assembly process of the piece of furniture itself.

2. Fixing the plates to the wall. This is the most important, most demanding, most difficult and most annoying operation that the fitter / installer must carry out, obviously in the environment where the furniture is to be assembled. Considering an elementary piece of furniture, it is very important to be able to fix to the wall, as previously mentioned, at least two plates perfectly interspaced between them at the predetermined distance and at the same height from the floor. The center-to-center distance between the plates (hooking points) must coincide with that between the hooks of the wall bracket, hooks that must be hooked to the plates.

In this regard, it should be noted that the hooks of the wall bracket are generally adherent to the shoulder of the furniture, because they must limit as much as possible the occurrence of large twisting moments that are generated when the so-called â € œbaseâ € furniture is suspended, that is furniture that has a very important dimension in depth (for example the basic furniture of a kitchen, a bathroom or a living room). Since the hooks are very adherent to the shoulder (side) of the furniture, the plates fixed to the wall, consequently, must also be positioned very close to the shoulders: this is the reason why it is necessary a very precise positioning of the wall platelets.

3. Once the plates have been fixed to the wall, the furniture is hooked / hung, also making the adjustments in height and depth using the aforementioned mechanisms with which the hangers are generally equipped today.

During the assembly operations listed above, the installer may encounter a series of problems when drilling the wall, such as water pipes, electrical cables, portions of the wall that are not very consistent, which actually prevent the plates from being fixed.

In addition, the installer may not have been so precise, so the center distances between the hangers do not coincide with those between the plates, although the latter are equipped with slots to adjust their position.

In particular, in the living rooms, the furniture can be made up of several pieces of furniture pushed together: in this case, the problem of accuracy is amplified, because it is also necessary to consider the presence of several adjacent pieces of furniture. The general purpose of the present invention is to provide a wall mounting system for cantilevered furniture that meets the above requirements, obviating the drawbacks of the known art.

The aforesaid object is achieved by an assembly system having the characteristics set out in claim 1 and the attached subordinate claims.

The structural and functional characteristics of the invention, and its advantages with respect to the known art, will be clearly understood from the following description, referring to the attached drawings, which show two possible practical embodiments of the invention.

Figures 1-7 of the drawings illustrate, schematically, how, according to the known art, a wall unit 30 can be fixed to a wall 31.

For this purpose, plates 32 (at least two) fixed to the wall 31, and relative hangers 33 (at least two) fixed to the back of the cabinet 30 are used.

As already said, for a correct assembly of the cabinet, all the plates 32 must be fixed to the wall 31, at the same height H with respect to the floor P, and with a center distance X equal to the center distance Xâ € ™ between the wall supports 33 ( figures 1 and 2). The plates 32 and the hangers 33 are not described in detail here, as they could be, for example, like those which are the subject of the patents already cited above.

According to a first embodiment of the present invention, illustrated in Figures 8-15, the wall-mounting of a wall unit can be carried out using a rail-bar 34, whose longitudinal edges are shaped as in 35, so as to identify two opposing sections 36 for retaining and guiding the plates 32 (Figure 15).

The bar 34 also has a multiplicity of holes (slots) 37 for its fastening to the wall 31 by means of dowels 38.

Characteristically, the plates 32, in the necessary number, are inserted in the rail-bar 34, as indicated in Figure 8.

This operation is performed by acting on the free ends of the bar 34, inserting the corresponding edges 39 of the plates 32 into the sections 36.

The plates 32 can thus be easily made to slide along the rail-bar 34, until the precise predetermined position is reached, where they are fixed by means of grub screws 40 (Figure 15).

From the above, with reference to the figures, it is clearly understandable how, for the installer, it will be extremely simple to satisfy the necessary requirements of absolute precision of the center distance between the plates 32 and of alignment between them, therefore the mobile 30 can be hooked to them with extreme ease and safety, by inserting the hooks 41 of the hangers 33 into the corresponding hole 42 of the plate 32, which will be perfectly aligned (figure 5).

In fact, as already said, the plates 32 are positioned along the bar â € “track 34, at a distance X perfectly identical to the distance Xâ € ™ between the hangers 33.

Figures 16-22 show a second possible embodiment of the invention where, in a bar 50, at least two interspaced support sections 51 are characteristically formed in one piece, for the assembly of a wall unit 52: said sections 51 substantially develop the same function of the plates 32 object of the first embodiment of the previously described invention, and are provided with reinforcing ribs 56.

The section 51 can advantageously be obtained from the bar 50, by drawing, calculating a center distance between two sections 51 which is perfectly equal to the center distance between the hangers 33.

The bar 50 is also provided with holes (slots) 54 for its fixing to a wall 57 by means of dowels 38, or equivalent means.

In this embodiment of the invention, the installer has to manage only one piece, instead of a plurality of pieces, as in the first, and the hooking of the cabinet is ensured at the first attempt, as the spacing between the sections 51 are precise and identical to those between the hangers 33.

The length of the bar 50 is calculated as a function of the length of the cabinet.

In both embodiments, the plates 32 and the section 51 can be provided with an anti-release system 55, in correspondence with the holes 42, as described in the patent application MI2009A000699.

As already said, the wall hangers 33 are generally provided with mechanisms 58, 59, respectively for adjusting the height and depth of the wall unit to which the wall unit 33 itself is fixed, as described in the patent application PCT / EP2009 / 005627.

The purposes mentioned in the preamble of the description are thus achieved.

CLAIMS 1) Wall mounting system (31, 57) of a cantilevered piece of furniture (30, 52) of the type comprising at least two interspaced supports (32, 51) provided with fastening means (38) to said wall (31, 57) , to which supports (32, 51) are adapted to be hooked two respective coupling devices (33) with which said piece of furniture is provided, characterized by the fact that said at least two interspaced supports (32, 51) are incorporated in a support (34, 50) provided with said fixing means (38) to said wall (31, 57). 2) System according to claim 1, characterized in that said at least two supports (32) are mounted on said bar (34) in an adjustable way of position relative to each other. 3) System according to claim 2, characterized in that said at least two supports (32) are slidably inserted on said bar (34) which is shaped like a guide rail. 4) System according to claim 3, characterized in that the longitudinal edges of said bar (34) are shaped as in (35), so as to identify two opposite sections (36) for retaining and guiding said plates (32) , which plates (32) have edges (39) able to be inserted and engaged in said sections (36). 5) System according to claim 1, characterized in that said at least two supports (51) are made as one piece with said bar (50). 6) System according to claim 5, characterized in that said supports (51) have stiffening ribs (56). 7) System according to claim 5, characterized in that said at least two supports (51) are drawn from said bar (50). 8) System according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said supports (32, 51) have at least one hole (42) for the insertion and engagement of a respective coupling device (33). 9) System according to claim 8, characterized in that an anti-release system (55) is associated with said hole (42). 10) Suspension bar of a wall unit provided with an assembly system according to any one of claims 1 to 9.
