Descrizione del brevetto per invenzione industriale avente per titolo: Description of the patent for industrial invention entitled:
“PRODOTTO IGIENIZZANTE PER IL TRATTAMENTO DI SEDILI DI USO PUBBLICO” "SANITIZING PRODUCT FOR THE TREATMENT OF SEATS FOR PUBLIC USE"
The present invention relates to acaricidal, insecticidal, antiallergic and detergent compositions to be applied on seats and head rests of seats for public use, in particular seats equipped with head rests normally installed on trains, buses, public cars, ferries and airplanes, purpose of eliminating transmissible parasites that lurk in the tissues, cleansing and disinfecting the tissues themselves and preventing any allergic reactions deriving from contact with said parasites and / or tissues.
Stato della tecnica State of the art
The possibility of contracting allergies and parasites is known as a result of the repeated and mixed use of dirty public seats contaminated with allergens, mites and insects. The problem is particularly felt in the case of seats installed on public transport means, such as trains, buses, airplanes, ferries, public buses and the like. Above all, the headrest of these seats is a potential receptacle for mites, ticks, lice that are difficult to eradicate, easily transmitted and responsible for allergic reactions.
For the cleaning of the seats and the headrests it would be desirable to have a product with a broad spectrum acaricide and insecticide and which associates anti-allergic and detergent properties to these activities.
Descrizione dell’invenzione Description of the invention
It has now been found that the above problem can be advantageously solved by resorting to acaricidal, insecticidal, antiallergic and detergent compositions comprising as active ingredients a pyrethroid, benzyl benzoate, waterproofing acrylic fluoropolymers and a mixture of solvents with a degreasing / detergent effect. The pyrethroid is preferably bioresmetrin. The waterproofing fluorinated polymer imparts anti-allergic properties. A preferred polymer is commercially available from Ciba under the brand name Oleophorbol S. The mixture of detergents used has multipurpose no-rinse, quick-drying degreasing properties, suitable for removing dirt from all washable surfaces. The product commercially available under the brand name Kmax®, comprising 5-15% of glycol ether solvents in isopropanol and <5% of non-ionic surfactants, is particularly preferred, although similar detergents can be conveniently used. The compositions of the invention preferably contain from 0.01 to 0.1% by weight of bioresmethrin and from 0.5 to 5%, preferably from 1 to 2% by weight, of benzyl benzoate, a concentration considered natural flavor. The compositions can be in the form of solutions, sprays.
L’invenzione sarà illustrata in maggior dettaglio negli Esempi seguenti. In addition to the known activity of the individual components, the compositions are able to retain the exuvie of insects and parasites inside the seat padding, preventing contact with the passenger and the clonal expansion of his immune system with the notes. and unpredictable adverse reactions. Prova acaricida su acaro della polvere Try acaricide on dust mite
La metodologia applicata è derivata da quella proposta alla “First The applied methodology is derived from the one proposed at “First
Conference on Test Methods for Resistance in Insects of Agricultural Conference on Test Methods for Resistance in Insects of Agricultural
Importance”, College Park, Maryland, per valutare l’efficacia acaricida in Importance ", College Park, Maryland, to evaluate the acaricidal efficacy in
vitro su Acari Tetranichidi e pubblicata sul Bulletin of Entomological Society of America (1968, vol. 14: 31-37). 14: 31-37). This is an in vitro test with mites glued to a microscope slide using adhesive tape. Four replicates were performed, each of 50 adult females of Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus. A strip of adhesive tape was placed on a slide, fixed by means of double-sided tape, on which the mites in the supine position were glued. The four slides were placed on a square arena of one meter on each side and sprayed with the product to be tested until a dose of 1 ml / m <2> was reached. After treatment and drying, the slides were transferred to a Petri dish (diameter 14.5 cm) with moistened bibula paper to keep the relative humidity high, in order to avoid death from dehydration of the specimens. The whole was placed in a thermostated cell at 24 ± 1 ° C and 65 ± 5% R.H .. Following the same procedure, a comparison control test was also carried out, sprayed with water (10 g / m <2>). The exposure to the formulation occurred at 23 ° C and 70% R.H. The acaricidal activity was checked 24 hours after the start of the test, by visual inspection of the vitality of the mites under a stereoscopic microscope. The specimens that, following a tactile stimulation with a micro pin, did not show any reaction were considered dead.
Prove acaricida su zecca e insetticida su pulce Acaricide tests on ticks and insecticides on fleas
For this test we proceeded to spray eight pieces of cotton fabric, square in shape with a side of 20 cm, with the formulation in question until a dose of 1 ml / m <2> was reached, they were then left to dry for about 30 minutes. Subsequently, 10 adult individuals each of cat fleas were placed on four patches and, on the other four, 10 pigeon ticks, again for each patch. The flea specimens were previously placed in the freezer for three minutes to facilitate the transfer operation from the holding container to the treated substrate. After positioning the individuals, a container of transparent plastic material was placed upside down on each piece, which prevented the escape of fleas and ticks but allowed full visibility of the same. After 24 hours, a visual check of mortality was carried out, and following the verification of the viability of the presumed dead specimens, by observing any reflexes under a stereoscopic microscope following a tactile stimulation with a brush. A control test was also carried out following the same procedure. In this case the eight patches were sprinkled with water (10 g / m <2>). The test was carried out at 24 ± 1 ° C and 65 ± 5% R.H.
Prova di antiallergenicità Proof of antiallergenicity
The purpose of the test was to demonstrate the ability of the formulation to block allergen particles, creating a mechanical barrier, preventing them from spreading into the environment. To this end, two cushions (30 x 30 x 10 cm) were inoculated with 10 grams each of infested substrate, coming from the dust mite farm, Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus, present at the Institute of Agricultural Entomology of the University of Milan. The cushions were then wrapped with common cotton pillowcases, one treated with the formula of the invention at the recommended dose, and the other untreated. The experimental material was then placed in an air-conditioned cell at 24 ± 1 ° C and 85 ± 5% R.H. and left here for 10 days to allow the uniform distribution of the mites. At the end of this period, each set of pillowcases and pillows was passed for 5 minutes with a vacuum cleaner equipped with an absolute filter, capable of retaining particles of 1 µm size. The particulate matter retained by the filters was subjected to an examination with monoclonal antibodies for the quantification of the allergens Der p1 and Der p2, specific to Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus.
RISULTATI RESULTS
La mortalità è stata corretta impiegando la formula di Abbott, come modificata da Schneider-Orelli: The number of living and dead specimens is shown in the following tables. Mortality was corrected using Abbott's formula, as modified by Schneider-Orelli:
[(thesis% mortality - witness% mortality) / (100 - witness% mortality)] X 100 which allows to purify the “natural” mortality from the overall mortality.

CONCLUSIONI CONCLUSIONS
Under the reported experimental conditions, the formulation causes extremely high mortality on Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus, Argas reflexus and Ctenocephalides felis, which, 24 hours after spraying, is respectively 95.4%, 90% and 80%. The reduction in the spread of allergens was then almost total, reaching 99.8% for Der p1 and 99.7% for Der p2. The compositions of the invention therefore demonstrate high acaricidal and insecticidal activity; by creating a mechanical barrier they are able to guarantee an effective blocking action from the spread of allergens.
