SLIDING DOOR OR WINDOW.

The present invention relates to a frame, or a door or a window, with sliding opening.

In particular, but not limited to, the present invention relates to a door or window for vertical walls capable of separating an internal environment from the external one.

Window frames for vertical walls are known comprising a fixed frame and a pair of movable frames, sliding relative to each other.

It should be noted that, in this type of sliding window frames, the glazed surfaces of the two movable frames are arranged on different planes with respect to a direction orthogonal to the plane of the wall or of the door or window, so as to allow a sliding of a frame with respect to at the other along corresponding tracks, to open and close the environment according to two different passage areas.

With reference to one of these movable frames, this is movable between a closing position, in which a (vertical) upright abuts on the relative upright of the fixed frame to close the passage area, and an opening position in which it is counterfaced or superimposed on the other mobile frame.

A need particularly felt by the designers (builders and architects) is given by the request to be able to have a planar continuity of the glazing with the wall of the vertical wall.

The structure of the frames shown above, due to their operational need for sliding relative to each other on the tracks (offset in plan of the two movable frames along the direction perpendicular to the plane of the door or window), does not present the required continuity planar.

The aim of the present invention is therefore to obviate these drawbacks and to satisfy the need expressed above.

Still another object is to propose a door or a window which increases the tightness against atmospheric events.

In accordance with the invention, this object is achieved by a door or a window, comprising the technical characteristics set out in one or more of the appended claims.

The technical characteristics of the invention, according to the aforementioned purposes, are clearly verifiable from the content of the claims reported below, and the advantages thereof will become more evident in the detailed description that follows, made with reference to the attached drawings, which represent a purely embodiment exemplary and not limiting, in which:

Figure 1 illustrates a front view of a window object of the invention in a respective closing configuration;

In accordance with the accompanying drawings, the reference numeral 1 indicates a door or window 1 with sliding opening, object of the invention.

In what follows, reference will be made to a window 1, without however losing generality.

Window 1 comprises a fixed frame 2.

The fixed frame 2 is composed of a pair of crosspieces 19, respectively upper 19s and lower 19i, and vertical uprights 20, respectively right 20d and left 20s.

This fixed frame 2 is generally able to be fixed integrally to a vertical type wall (not shown).

According to the invention, the window 1 comprises a movable frame 3 provided with a first glazed wall 4.

The movable frame 3 defines a frame 21, generally made with two vertical uprights and two horizontal crosspieces, which carries the first glazed wall 4.

The first glazed wall 4 defines a plane P of the window 1, that is of the frame, (which is substantially parallel to the plane of the vertical wall in which the window 1 is mounted).

The movable frame 3 can slide with respect to the fixed frame 2 along a horizontal direction X substantially parallel to the plane P of the window 1, between a closed position PC and an open position PA (total or partial).

It should be noted that the movable frame 3 slides on rails 28, associated with the fixed frame 2.

In particular, the direction X is parallel to the crosspieces 19 of the fixed frame 2.

Note that in the closed position PC the upright of the mobile frame 3 abuts against the upright 20 of the fixed frame 2.

Figures 1 to 3 and 7 illustrate the movable frame 3 in the closed position PC.

According to the invention, the window 1 comprises a second glazed wall 5, slidingly associated with the fixed frame 2 along the horizontal direction X or, alternatively, fixed with respect to the fixed frame 2. It should be noted that the second glazed wall 5 and the first wall glazing 4 jointly allow a complete closure of window 1.

In particular, the first glazed wall 4 allows the closure of a first zone Z1 for the passage of the window 1, while the second glazed wall 5 allows the closure of a second zone Z2 for the passage of the window.

Therefore, per se, the first glass wall 4 and the second glass wall 5 allow the complete closure of the window 1.

It should be noted that the second glass wall 5 is arranged parallel to the first glass wall 4 but offset with respect to the first glass wall 4.

In particular, the second glass wall 5 is arranged, with respect to the first glass wall 4, set back along a direction Y orthogonal to the plane P of the window to allow the first glass wall 4, in the opening position PA, to be placed alongside the second glass wall. 5.

Preferably, the second glazed wall 5 is also movable or sliding along the longitudinal direction X.

According to this embodiment, the second glazed wall 5 is fixed to a second frame movable with respect to the fixed frame 2, in particular sliding with respect to the fixed frame 2 along the direction X.

Preferably, the second movable frame can slide on rails associated with the fixed frame 2.

According to the invention, the window 1 comprises a third glazed wall 8, arranged alongside the second glazed wall 5.

Note in figure 1 that the first glass wall 4 faces inwards (from one side) and outwards (from the other side) while the second glass wall 5 faces inwards from one side and faces the third glass wall 8 from the other side.

With reference to the third glazed wall 8, this faces the second glazed wall 5 from one side and towards the outside from the other side.

According to the invention, the window 1 comprises means 7 for connecting the third glazed wall 8 to the fixed frame 2.

These connection means 7 are configured to allow a shift of the third glazed wall 8 with respect to the fixed frame 2 between a closing position P1, in which the third glazed wall 8 is arranged coplanar with the plane P of the window 1 and an opening position P2, in which the third glass wall 8 is arranged away from the second glass wall 5 (along the Y direction orthogonal to the plane of the window 1).

In particular, according to the preferred embodiment, the connection means 7 are configured to allow a roto-translation of the third glazed wall 8 between said opening P2 and closing P1 positions.

In particular, the connection means 7 comprise at least one pair of connecting rods 13, hinged to the fixed frame 2 and to the third glazed wall 8 so as to define, as a whole, an articulated parallelogram 14.

Even more preferably, the connection means 7 comprise connecting rods which connect the third glazed wall 8 at the bottom to the fixed frame 2 and connecting rods 13i which connect the third glazed wall 8 at the top to the fixed frame 2.

Furthermore, according to a variant, the connection means 7 also comprise connecting rods 27 which connect a vertical side of the third glazed wall 8 to the fixed frame 2.

Figure 1 illustrates the third glazed wall 8 in the closed position P1.

It should be noted that, when the third glass wall 8 is in the closed position P1, it is arranged substantially coplanar with the first glass wall 4; in this way an observer placed outside has a perception of a single coplanar glass wall, composed of the first glass wall 4 and the third glass wall 8, aesthetically pleasing and responding to the needs of architects and designers.

It should be noted that, when the third glass wall 8 is in the closed position P1, the first glass wall 4 and the second glass wall 5 allow the closure of the passage areas (Z1, Z2) of the window 1.

Furthermore, it should be noted that, preferably, the third glazed wall 8, in the closed position P1, allows the circulation of air in the compartment 22 which is defined between the third glazed wall 8 and the second glazed wall 5; in other words, the third glazed wall 8 in the closed position P1 does not define a sealed closure of the compartment 22.

Advantageously, the fact of allowing a circulation of air in the compartment 22 which is defined between the third glass wall 8 and the second glass wall 5 allows to avoid any unwanted breakage of the third glass wall 8 which could be caused by the pressure acting on it. due to the wind.

Furthermore, it should be noted that the third glazed wall 8 makes it possible to increase the tightness of the window 1 against rain; in fact, since the first glass wall 4 and the third glass wall 8 are coplanar when they are arranged in the closed position, they allow to reduce the infiltration of rainwater in the crossbeams and in the guide rails 28 of the fixed frame 2; in this way the window 1 has a time of resistance to water infiltration considerably higher than that of the sliding windows 1 currently on the market.

According to the invention, the window 1 comprises means 9 for moving the third glazed wall 8.

These movement means 9 are configured to move the third glazed wall 8 from the closed position P1 to the open position P2 in relation to an release or an opening of the mobile frame 3.

In fact, it should be noted that the first glass wall 4, when it is in the closed position PC (i.e. an upright of the mobile frame 3 is in contact with the fixed frame 3), can be locked or unlocked with respect to the fixed frame 2.

Therefore, by means of the control members 6, a locking position / configuration or locking of the first glazed wall 4 with respect to the fixed frame 2 and an unlocking position / configuration of the first glazed wall 4 with respect to the fixed frame 2 are defined.

The first glazed wall 4, locked with respect to the fixed frame 2 (in the locked position), cannot slide longitudinally along the aforementioned X direction while this first glazed wall 4, when it is unlocked with respect to the fixed frame 2, is sliding with respect to the X direction (this configuration of the mobile frame 3 is referred to as the unlocking configuration).

According to another aspect, the movable frame 3 is moved vertically from the locked to the unlocked position; in particular this aspect is present in so-called â € œlift and slideâ € doors or windows.

According to a first embodiment not shown, the handling means 9 are configured to move the third glazed wall 8, from the closed position P1 to the open position P2, in relation to the release of the mobile frame 3 with respect to the fixed frame 2.

According to this embodiment, the movement means 9 are operatively connected to the control members 6 of the mobile frame 3 to move the third glazed wall 8 from the closed position P1 to the open position P2 as a consequence of an actuation of the control members 6 from the locking configuration to the unlocking configuration (of the mobile frame 3 with respect to the fixed frame 2).

In other words, according to this embodiment, the user operates the handle 23 (forming part of the control members 6) to cause the simultaneous release of the movable frame 3 with respect to the fixed frame 2 and the movement of the third glazed wall 8 from the closed position P1 to open position P2.

It should be noted that, according to this embodiment, preferably the handling means 9 are also configured to move the third glazed wall 8, from the closed position P1 to the open position P2, in relation to the locking of the movable frame 3 with respect to the frame fixed 2.

Therefore, more generally, the movement means 9 are operatively connected to the control members 6, to allow movement of the third glazed wall 8 between the aforementioned closing P1 and opening P2 operations in relation to an actuation of the control members 6 (for unlocking and / or locking the mobile frame 3 with respect to the fixed frame 2).

According to the preferred embodiment illustrated in the attached figures, the movement means 9 are configured to allow movement of the third glazed wall 8 from the open position P2 to the closed position P1 as a consequence of a displacement or sliding of the first glazed wall 4 from the closed position P1 to open position P2.

Furthermore, the aforementioned handling means 9 are also configured to allow the third glazed wall 8 to be moved from the closed position P1 to the open position P2 as a consequence of a displacement of the first glazed wall 4 from the closed position PC to the open position PA. .

By opening position PA of the mobile frame 3 we mean all the positions that can be assumed by the same mobile frame 3 between the extreme closing position PC and the extreme opening position (or total opening) in which the mobile frame 3 is completely next to the second one. glass wall 5 (and the passage area Z1 is completely open).

According to the preferred embodiment, the movement means 9 comprise a first element 10, associated with the first glazed wall 4, and a second element 11, associated with the third glazed wall 8 and configured to cooperate with the first element 10, defining a cam 12 for moving the third glazed wall 8 between the aforementioned positions (P1, P2).

In particular, the first element 10 comprises a plane 24 inclined with respect to the direction X and the second element 11 comprises a roller 25 (preferably rotatable).

The roller 25, at least along a part of the path of the mobile frame 3 between the closing position PC and the total opening position of the mobile frame 3 (not shown, in which the first zone Z1 is totally open), slides on the inclined plane 24 which is shaped to cause a displacement of the third glazed wall 8 away from the second glazed wall 5, in particular along the direction Y orthogonal to the plane P of the window.

According to the invention, the window 1 comprises locking means 26 of the third glazed wall 8 with respect to the first glazed wall 4 in the closing position PC of the glazed wall 4.

According to the preferred embodiment, the locking means 26 of the third glazed wall 8 comprise first engagement means 15, fixed to the first glazed wall 4, and second engagement means 16, fixed to the third glazed wall 8.

The first 15 and the second 16 engagement means are configured to mutually engage in the closing position PC of the first glass wall 4 (blocking the third glass wall 8 with respect to the first glass wall 4) and to disengage in the release position or the opening of the first glass wall 4, allowing the movement of the third glass wall 8.

It should be noted that, in the illustrated example, the locking means 26 comprise a hook 17 (forming part of the first engagement means 15) and a pin 18 (forming part of the second engagement means 16).

This hook 17 is shaped to engage with the pin 18 (hooking the same pin 18) when the first glass wall 4 is in the closing position PC, to hold and lock the third glass wall 8 with respect to the first glass wall 4.

It should be noted that the hook 17, during the sliding of the first glazed wall 4 from the closed position PC to the open position, engages with the pin 18, holding the same and preventing a movement of the third glazed wall 8 along the X direction.

Preferably, the hook 17 is connected to the movable frame 3 by means of a spring 30, which pushes it towards the outside (to prevent it from losing contact with the pin 18 by moving towards the inside).

It should be noted that, in the type of window or door of the â € œlift & slideâ € type, the mobile frame 3, in passing from the unlocking to the locking configuration, is moved vertically.

Therefore, the pin 18 is configured so that the hook 17 remains engaged both when the first glass wall 4 is in the closing position PC in the locked configuration with respect to the fixed frame 2 and when the first glass wall 4 is in the position of PC lock in unlocked configuration with respect to the fixed frame 2.

The operation of the window 1 object of the invention will be described hereinafter, with reference to the preferred embodiment and to an opening and closing cycle of the movable frame 3 of the same window 1.

Starting from the locking configuration of the mobile frame 3 with respect to the fixed frame 2 (figures 1,2,3 and 7), the user operates the handle 23 to release the mobile frame 3 with respect to the fixed frame 2 and therefore bring the frame mobile 3 in the so-called unlocking configuration of the same mobile frame 3.

In this release configuration, the movable frame 3 can be moved along the X direction with respect to the fixed frame 2.

It should be noted that, in the release configuration, the hook 17 fixed to the mobile frame 3 is coupled to the pin 18 of the third glass wall 8.

Starting from this release configuration, from the PC closing position (in which, in fact, the mobile frame 3 closes the zone Z1 of passage or communication between the internal and external environment), the user moves the mobile frame 3 towards the opening position PA, making it translate along the X direction. It should be observed that the translation of the mobile frame 3 along the X direction determines the interaction of the inclined plane 24 of the first element 10 with the roller 25 of the second element 11; consequently the third glass wall 8 is moved from the closed position P1 to the open position P2.

It should be noted that the wall of the inclined plane 24 is shaped, i.e. inclined with respect to the X direction, to allow the third glazed wall 8 to be moved without requiring excessive effort on the part of the user to push the mobile frame 3 along the X direction .

It should be noted that the movement of the movable frame 3 along the direction X determines the decoupling of the hook 17 with respect to the pin 18, releasing the third glazed wall 8 with respect to the first glazed wall 4; in this way the third glazed wall 8, no longer constrained with respect to the first glazed wall 4, can be moved from the closed position P1 to the open position P2.

The third glazed wall 8 is moved, by effect of the moving frame 3, between the closed position P1 and the open position P2 by means of a roto-translation.

It should be noted that this rototranslation movement allows the third glazed wall 8 to be kept parallel to the first glazed wall 4.

When the third glass wall 8 is in the open position P2, a space 22 is defined between the same third glass wall 8 and the second glass wall 5.

It should be noted that the movable frame 3, that is the first glazed wall 4, is inserted into the compartment 22 between the second glazed wall 5 and the third glazed wall 8. In other words, the first glazed wall 4 is interposed between the second wall glass wall 5 and the third glass wall 8 (opening the relative zone Z1 for passage / communication between the interior of the room and the exterior).

Figures 4, 5, 6 and 8 illustrate the first glazed wall 4 and the third glazed wall 8 in their respective open positions (PA, P2); in particular, the first glazed wall is in a partial opening position, that is, it has not reached the end of the track 28 which corresponds to the maximum opening of the window itself.

In fact, it should be observed that the third glass wall 8 is brought into the corresponding opening position P2 before the first glass wall 4 is in the corresponding total opening position (meaning the end position of the mobile frame 3 along the tracks 28 as the total opening position. , corresponding to the total opening of the passage zone Z1 occluded by the same first glazed wall 4).

An advantage of the present invention is that of making available a frame (door or window) with sliding opening which allows to create coplanar glazed surfaces.

In particular, the window 1 allows architects and builders to create glazed surfaces with sliding opening that are coplanar to the vertical walls (without any size limitation).

Furthermore, a further advantage is that of providing a window with a high resistance to atmospheric precipitation.

The invention thus conceived is susceptible of evident industrial application; it can also be subject to numerous modifications and variations, all of which are within the scope of the inventive concept; all the details can also be replaced by technically equivalent elements.

Claims (11)

CLAIMS 1.
