DESCRIZIONE dell’invenzione industriale dal titolo: DESCRIPTION of the industrial invention entitled:
“Sistema di protezione per la copertura amovibile e meccanizzata di colture fruttifere” "Protection system for the removable and mechanized covering of fruiting crops"
TESTO DELLA DESCRIZIONE TEXT OF THE DESCRIPTION
This invention deals with an improved, simplified system, with high technological reliability, longer duration and limited costs, for arranging and removing on and from rows of fruit-bearing crops, such as for example cherry trees or vines, protections in the form of transparent sheets or nets, respectively for protection against rain or against spring frosts or against hail. In the following, the protection will be referred to simply as a "sheet". The characteristics of the system in question and the advantages deriving from it will appear evident from the following description of a preferred embodiment thereof, illustrated purely by way of non-limiting example, in the figures of the three attached drawings, in which :

- Fig. 5 schematically illustrates a possible and better transversal positioning of the protective sheets and a different and advantageous composite embodiment of the same.
In figure 1, FI, F2, Fn indicate rows of plants P on each of which main poles 1, of suitable section, are planted and fixed in the ground, aligned with each other and with the row of plants P (see below), suitably spaced apart from each other and towards the plants themselves and which with their upper end suitably protrude above the canopy of the same plants P. The poles 1 are connected to each other transversely to the rows of plants, by means of wires or cables warp 2 and the external ones of the same poles 1, both the lateral ones and the head ones, are connected to special bracing cables, not shown, which keep said warp cables 2 under tension and which also maintain the main cables in suitable tension conveyor 3 which, as illustrated in the detail of figure 2, are returned in a closed loop at least on end pulleys 4, 4 ', rotatable with their axes 104, 104' on special support brackets 5, 5 'fixed and on the top of the head poles 1 of each row F. Idler pulleys for tensioning the transport cable 3 are indicated by 6, 6 '. Since each transport cable 3 can be very long, its upper branch can be supported also from 4 "intermediate pulleys (figs. 1, 2), placed on the intermediate poles 1 of each row of plants. To the upper branch of each transport cable 3 is fixed by any suitable means 8, the intermediate part of a first crosspiece 7, sufficiently rigid, made for example with a flat section of metal or composite material and this same first crosspiece 7 is at in turn fixed in any suitable way and with transversal arrangement, on the head of a protective sheet 9 returned to a roller 10 supported idle by the brackets of the nearby head pole 1 and which sheet comes for example (see below) from a reel feed 90 supported rotatably with its own axis by any suitable means, this reel being placed on the proximal end of each row and being protected against the sun and frost by suitable covering means 100. The head crosspiece 7 mentioned above has an extension greater than the width of the sheet 9 so as to protrude laterally from this with sections of equal length, which end with a conformation 107 with hook open towards the sheet and facing downwards, for example. The hooks 107 of the crosspiece 7 are anchored and slide on the proximal end of the wires or guide cables 11 placed parallel to each other and towards the transport cable 3 and placed at a height higher than that of the transverse warp cables 2. To a pair of respective guide cables 11, 1 Γ, 1 In is provided for each row and for each transport cable 3. The proximal end of the guide cables 11 is supported by brackets 13 fixed to the neighboring head poles 1, with the interposition of supports 12, 12 'with grooved profile, as shown in Figure 3. The supports 12 have an intermediate position and also support the guide cable 11 of the adjacent row, while the supports 12' have an external position and support a single guide cable 11 external. These supports 12, 12 'and / or their brackets or support arms 13 can also be conveniently fixed to the lower warp threads 2, so as to ensure complete positioning stability both on the horizontal and vertical planes and also in presence of an adequate longitudinal pull on the guide cables 11 which with their distal ends are anchored to supports 14 carried by the head plates 1 and which are subjected to the action of longitudinal pull means 15, for example in the form of springs or counterweights. Supports similar to those 12, 12 'mentioned above are also provided to support intermediate areas of the guide cables 11, even where there are no warp cables 2 or adjacent main poles 1. These intermediate supports can be supported only by the warp yarns 2 , with the possibility of relative horizontal movement to allow free thermal expansion of the air transport system and / or can also be supported by said supports 13, especially for the lateral and external supports. The guide cables 11 form real rails on which the hook ends 107 of the head crosspiece 7 can slide and remain anchored when with an easy motorization operation of at least one of the return axes of the pulleys 4, 4 ', for example, through a drive 400 as shown in Figure 4, and with the suitable unwinding motorization of the reel 90, also by means of any known gallop compensation means (not shown), the upper branch of the conveyor 3 is operated in the direction indicated by arrow H in figure 2, to spread the protective sheet 9 above the row of plants P. On the sheet 9 are fixed transversely and in succession, several intermediate crosspieces 7 '(see also fig. 4) equal to the head 7 and when these intermediate crosspieces 7 'reach the deflection roller 10 or pass it, their hook-shaped ends 107 are easily inserted on the guide cables 11, also for the action of any the inlet and centering cams 16, all in an intuitive and easily achievable way by technicians in the field. The median part of the intermediate crosspieces 7 'can advantageously rest on the upper beam of the conveyor 3 and can be shaped in such a way as to snap and detachably hook onto said conveyor. From figure 3 it can be seen that the grooved supports 12 are equipped with inserts 112 to limit the horizontal gauge of the crosspieces 7, 7 '. When the sheet 9 is spread over the entire extension of each row of plants P, its crosspieces 7, 7 'are perfectly anchored to the guide cables 11 and by means of these the sheet itself remains correctly arranged even in the event of rain and / or strong wind, also due to the action of special locking means which operate on the transport cable 2 and on the reel 90. To collect the protective sheet 9 on the reel 90, it is sufficient to operate the system in the opposite direction to that of unwinding, by rotating only the reel 90 or also by activating the conveyor 3 so that the upper branch of this translates in the opposite direction to that indicated with H and that the sheet 9 with the intermediate crosspieces T collects on the same reel 90, up to reach the fully collected condition illustrated in figure 2. It is understood that in place of the transport cables 3 and / or guide cables 11 other means suitable for the purpose can be provided, such as for example tapes, belts or others. The protective sheet 9 can be formed by a continuous sheet or by sections of sheet fixed in succession to the crosspieces 7, 7 ', so that it is easier and cheaper to replace sections of the same sheet that may eventually break. The same protective sheet 9 can be collected in a zigzag manner in a suitable protective container, with simplification of the motorizations in the phases of collection and unfolding of the same sheet. If the rows of plants are limited in size, two or more contiguous rows of plants can be covered with the same plant as described. If the rows of plants are very long, each row can be covered with two sheets unwound from reels or other means placed on the opposite ends of the same row. Figure 5 illustrates that the guide cables 11 can be placed at even slightly different heights, so that the protective sheets 9 are arranged with a small sloping inclination, particularly useful for the rapid evacuation of rain. The same figure 5 also illustrates that the sheets 9 can be formed by at least two longitudinal sheets 109, 109 'superimposed on each other with the internal edges so as not to let the rain pass but in such a way as to open automatically and to let out a strong wind, with the great security that follows. The means for bracing the system of warping, transport and guiding cables as well as the means for motorizing the transport cables and / or the tape reel have been omitted from the description and drawings, as they can be understood and easily made by technicians in the branch. Finally, it is understood that the description refers to a preferred embodiment of the invention, to which numerous variations, modifications and technical equivalences can be made.
