La presente domanda di brevetto per modello di utilità ha per oggetto una ciambella per water di tipo portatile. The present utility model patent application relates to a donut for a portable type of toilet bowl.

Il trovato in questione è stato concepito allo scopo di risolvere il problema della scarsa igienicità, effettiva o presunta, dei water ad uso collettivo, come quelli installati nei bagni pubblici, ma anche in alberghi o ristoranti. The invention in question was conceived for the purpose of solving the problem of the poor sanitation, actual or presumed, of toilets for collective use, such as those installed in public bathrooms, but also in hotels or restaurants.

La maggior parte delle persone si rivela infatti quanto mai restia a sedersi sulle ciambelle di tali water pubblici, per cui molto spesso preferisce mantenere una scomoda posizione eretta o, addirittura, rinunciare del tutto ad utilizzarli. In fact, most people are very reluctant to sit on the donuts of such public toilets, so they very often prefer to maintain an uncomfortable upright position or even give up using them altogether.

Va detto per la verità che tale problema fu già in passato oggetto di studio; tuttavia la soluzione a suo tempo proposta non appare particolarmente felice sotto l’aspetto funzionale ed infatti non risulta che abbia conosciuto una grande diffusione presso il pubblico dei consumatori. In pratica il manufatto che avrebbe dovuto risolvere il problema della scarsa igienicità dei water ad uso pubblico è costituito da una foderina in carta, di tipo monuso, sagomata in modo di riprodurre esattamente la ciambella di un water; in effetti grazie a tale foderina l’utente potrebbe rivestire per l’intero perimetro la faccia superiore di una ciambella di un water appena prima di sedervisi al di sopra.
