Il Modello è relativo ad un manicotto termico per contenitori prismatici, cilindrici o conici o di altre forme, che ha lo scopo di mantenere a lungo la temperatura del liquido in essi contenuto. Sono noti i dispositivi denominati commercialmente "glacettes", i quali vengono già da tempo utilizzati per mantenere fresco il contenuto di bottiglie di vino o di acqua minerale, nei ristoranti, o simili. Tali dispositivi - che presentano una cavità cilindrica delimitata da una parete laterale e da un fondello di polistirolo espanso rigido e sono completati esternamente da un rivestimento in finta pelle - pur essendo efficaci ed atti a mantenere a lungo la temperatura delle bottiglie od anche di bicchieri da bibita, presentano il difetto di un costo elevato e di un sensibile ingombro quando devono essere spediti oppure riposti dopo l’uso; inoltre essi non sono impugnabili. Molti titolari di ristoranti preferiscono pertanto farne a meno proprio per lo spazio da essi occupato quando non se ne fa uso. Nel disegno il materiale coibente 3 è un materiale laminare espanso flessibile ed agevolmente ripiegabile su se stesso, come un polietilene, un PVC, un poliuretano od un poliestere espanso, di conveniente peso specifico e di conveniente spessore; inoltre il materiale 3 può presentare una certa elasticità a compressione per consentire l'adattamento della sua superficie interna, predisposta per una bottiglia avente un certo diametro esterno, sulla superficie della bottiglia, che può in certi casi presentare un diametro un po' maggiorato o delle irregolarità. In luogo di un materiale laminare espanso, il materiale 3 può essere un qualsiasi altro strato sottile di materiale isolante termico, come sughero, agglomerato di sughero, film di polietilene avente una pluralità di bolle su di una superficie (simile a quello usato abitualmente nell'imballaggio); oppure il segmento di tubolare può essere realizzato mediante un film tubolare esterno ed un film tubolare interno, tra i due film essendo collocato uno strato di un isolante termico di qualsiasi tipo. Sono evidenti dalla descrizione che precede i vantaggi del manicotto termico secondo il Modello. Detto manicotto è di facile realizzazione e di costo particolarmente ridotto, mentre offre una particolare comodità di impiego. Esso serve per mantenere per un tempo sufficientemente lungo alla temperatura voluta, bevande o altri liquidi prerefrigerati oppure preriscaldati (come il latte in un biberon), presentando nel contempo un ingombro particolarmente ridotto prima e dopo l'utilizzo ed anche durante l'utilizzo. Il basso costo e l'ingombro ridotto rendono il manicotto termico secondo il Modello preferibile rispetto ai dispositivi denominati "glacettes", anche se il tempo, durante il quale esso mantiene circa alla temperatura iniziale la bevanda contenuta nel contenitore, è un po' minore. Si deve tener conto a questo proposito che la superficie interna del manicotto può essere fatta aderire elasticamente alla superficie del contenitore, mentre l'uso delle "glacettes" comporta la presenza di sensibili giochi tra la loro superficie interna e quella del contenitore, con conseguenti scambi termici più accelerati del previsto, in specie nel caso di contenuto riscaldato. 2) Thermal sleeve according to claim 1, in which the insulating laminar material has elasticity under compression.

3) Thermal sleeve according to claims 1 and 2, in which the insulating laminar material has elasticity to elongation.

4) Thermal sleeve according to claims 1 and 2, in which the outer face or both the inner and outer faces of the sleeve have a specular or in any case reflective surface.

5) Thermal sleeve according to the preceding claims, in which the outer surface of the sleeve is suitable for being printed by means of common printing systems.

6) Thermal sleeve according to the preceding claims, in which an elastically shrinkable ring is applied or incorporated in one or both edges of the mouths of the sleeve, to obtain adherence or deformation against recessed surfaces of the container, 7) Thermal sleeve according to claims 1 to 5, in which a tie is applied to one or both edges of the mouths of the sleeve to obtain, by tightening it, adherence or deformation against recessed surfaces. 8) Thermal sleeve as per the previous claims which can be folded in order to save space when stored. 9) Thermal sleeve for containers; all as described and represented.
